hard to find because no names of roads settled in santorini. BUT really nice room with ful equipment. 10 min walking to the beach. 4 MINS walking to the bus station. great host couple. an excellent opiton.
Mike was great,good location
We stayed in a 4 person loft apartment, it was very spacious with a large bathroom and cute balcony with table and chairs. The room was cleaned everyday. We had a good supply of towels. The beds were comfy. It was fairly basic nothing fancy but everything was clean and fresh. Mike the owner is awesome, he's lived on the island a long time and has so much info about santorini. He booked us on an amazing sailing tour around the island and sorted our transfer to the ferry. Very close to the main road/beach with all the restaurants, bars and shops as well as being close to bus stops and scooter/ATV rentals. lots of parking available. Nice and quiet. Pool was nice to swim in.
We couldn't use a credit card there only cash facilities which was a bit annoying.
Very friendly service
We got a lot of good tips from Mike and Yang. It helped us to relax and enjoy holiday. Thank you really much. It was really great holiday!
The room was large and we had lots of space with a nice big balcony. The beds were comfortable, the location was convenient and we could walk to the beach and restaurants. Mike was helpful in setting up our volcano excursion. It's not a luxurious place by any means and quite expensive compared to the rest of Greece, but compared to the rest of Santorini at the height of the season, it was the best deal.
The bathroom was poorly constructed and the shower needed new caulking on the bottom so no matter how careful we were, the floor always ended up wet. With that said, they did try to fix it and the cleaning staff did clean it up for us every day.
Kindness of staff and price
Piscine did not look clean. under equipped bathroom
Mike, the owner, was delightful, funny and accommodating. He gave us great tips about beaches, bakeries and restaurants. He graciously let us satellite out of the lobby, swim in the nice pool and use the wifi connection for seven hours after check-out. The room we had was spacious with a sweet little patio. The hotel is very close to the main street and the phenomenal beaches. Perissa is the best choice for beaches on Santorini, and its better to stay there and use the really efficient bus service rather than stay in Fira, where the prices and crowds are unwieldy.
None of these things would prevent me from booking with the Sea Wave again and I highly recommend this place, but I will point out a few things. Our air conditioner didn't work, but we didn't push the issue and probably could have easily gotten it fixed. The rooms do have kitchenettes, but a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning would have been appreciated:) No amenities like shampoo or soap are provided, but there is a little discount co-op store within two blocks if you need these items. Finding the Sea Wave is tricky. Make sure you get off the bus stop San Antonio, NOT the main Perissa stop. Cross the street and go down the closest crosssreet. You'll walk several blocks, wind around to the right and the Sea Wave will be on your right. As the bird flies, it is directly (many blocks) behind the Super Discount store.
We ended up in a lovely room. Kitchenette, fridge, tv, balcony. The staff were very accommodating. It was a short walk to the beach and very near an awesome bakery where we ate and had coffee every day
We initially had to move rooms. But once we did everything was fantastic.
Not much! Staff were helpful but quite vague. Location to beach ok but very barren area.
It's a long list! Pool out of use for 3 days due to bad winds (every other pool around seemed unaffected) no real apology for this and no lowering of rate. Whole place was dirty and worn out old sunbeds (falling apart), bathroom fittings coming away from the floor. Aircon in split level didn't work on upper level so asked for a fan, didn't get one so asked again. Got a broken one but it did work (was just coming apart). Bed slats fell out of the bed as not screwed in place. Kitchen ill equipped, there wasn't even any cutlery! Curtain rail fell apart each time you opened the door. Although listed there is no playground. You can't pay by card at the hotel. Just depressing ! Cannot understand how it got such good reviews. This is definitely not a family hotel. It's a backpackers hostel that needs attention. We made our excuses and moved to another hotel as soon as possible. If you want to see the wonders of Santorini this is not the place to do it.
-Excellent location, near to the beach, restaurants, busstop and supermarket -nice staff, helping with everything -ac works -free airport transfer from the airport, against charge to the airport
-Poor wifi in the room -poor cleaning(we have just started by washing/ceaning ourselves the garderobe, the fridge etc) -swimming pool should be cleaned more often -bathroom always full of water after using it -towels looks washed but they are still not clean -small, old tv-s-few channels only
The rooms were quite basic but the beds were very comfy and the room was cleaned every day. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to the sea and 5 minute walk to the shops. Mike and his partner couldnt do enough for us. It felt like a friend having us stay over at his home.
Very helpful and friendly staff who find time to talk to their guests and give any information asked for. You feel really welcome there. Great location - easy walk to beach and supermarket, nice big room with kitchenette. Comfortable and easy-going. Great value for the price.
The owners spoke good English and where helpful. Bakery close by was great, 24h service. Supermarket close too. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Quiet location.
Our balcony didn't have any sunshades and could have been better furnished. Double bed was not so comfortable. Cleaning could be better (hard job w strong wind and sand outside..)
I loved this hotel. The owner Mike is so friendly and so helpful that it feels like you're staying with family. The rooms are huge and there is a kitchenette which is excellent. The hotel is a very short walking distance to the beach (about 2 minutes). It's also very close to a supermarket, bakery and bus stop. All the staff is very friendly and so willing to help you figure out what you want to do on your trip. I could rave about this hotel for ages. Definitely visit it!
There were some bathroom features that were rather rusted, but that is fixable if someone puts in the time to do so.
It is close to one of the few streets with beach and many bars and restaurants
Friendly and helpful owner and staff, very secure ambience. Good swimming pool on site, good supermarket, ATM, bakery nearby, handy for bus to Fira.
Equipment is pretty basic and not very well maintained - but low price compensates. And if you eat out it doesn't really matter.
Nicest room with kitcenette, comfortable bed, nice swimmingpool-area, Mike (the owner) is just there for every guest. Short walking-distance to supermarket, bakery, bus-stop, lot of restaurants and the beach. Been here for three weeks and do not want to leve.
- Hospitality of the owner - Close to busstop, bakery, supermarket (though not open entire year), beach
Mike at the front desk made the stay much more enjoyable.
Didn't have hot water 2 of 3 days.
We had an amazing time at Sea Wave! Mike, the owner, was there every day, and was SO HELPFUL in answering our questions, arranging transport to and from the ferry, recommending places to eat, activities, and anything else we asked of him. He and his kitty, Charlie Chaplin (so cute) made us feel right at home. He even offered us Greek coffee and local wine, and to make us breakfast. Our room was huge and had a loft and a high ceiling, as well as a balcony with beautiful sunrise views. Walking distance to the beach and Carrefour, as well as a great 24 hour bakery just around the corner and all the beachside restaurants. Could not recommend this place more. The value for money was great and we were impressed with every aspect. Will definitely be returning!
Wifi didn't work in our room, but we liked the social aspect of hanging out in the lobby to get wifi, anyways.
Definitely the best in Perissa. I liked everything here. Rooms with a kitchenette, a balcony and an air-con. 24-hour hot shower. Very friendly staff.
