Just a short walk from Heraklion center and the sandy beach, Atrion offers elegant accommodations with free Internet access. It has a restaurant and is a just few feet from Heraklion’s busy promenade....

Within 325 ft from the center of the city, the Kastro Hotel is well-situated for exploring the ancient sites of Heraklion. It has spacious, air-conditioned rooms with breakfast included in the rate.

Location; friendly and helpful staff.
we arrived to stay for one night - the food at the pool bar was excellent all freshly cooked from frozen.
our room was located at the side of the hotel with a fire escape running across the window, which we had to open as the air con wasn't working and everything stunk really bad of stale cigarette smoke - wouldn't stay here again unless we were confident that we could have a fresh smelling room with air con.
Friendliness of all staff. Concern about not being given a room with a balcony which I had booked but being given a room with a balcony the next day when requested. The breakfasts. Brilliant!
Easy to find. Close to airport if you have an early morning departure. Also a good spot to stay if you are arriving at night and don't want to drive any distance and try to find your hotel...... which can be difficult!
Well situated for getting to the airport, car hire depots and highways and is away from town traffic. Very friendly staff, wifi, good breakfast bar and small restaurant by the pool, nice to relax by. Bus service to town, within 5 minutes walk, once you locate and work out how to buy tickets using automatic machines. Has its own few parking spaces, also places to park free on the nearby road. A small bakery nearby, also a small corner shop and chemist.
Not a particularly picturesque part of the town. Proximity to airport and insect chorus (summer time) meant one could not sleep with windows open. Had to use airconditioner.
Location close to the airport Breakfast early (7am) Pool and bar area
Very old elevator Not too many english speaking staff AC was impossible to regulate; as a result I caught a cold Guests coming in at all hours and the hallways aren't carpeted; not a very good sleep quality
Last year I stayed at the hotel on my first and last nights in Crete. This year I was accompanied by my daughter. The staff were very helpful on our arrival (I was walking with crutches following an operation) and conveyed our suitcases to our rooms which were of a good size and very clean. The restaurant at the poolside provided a well-cooked meal from a small but quite adequate menu. The next day the manageress, Sofia, welcomed us back and was extremely helpful. The breakfast was buffet was more than adequate.
Everything was to our entire satisfaction.
We stayed for one night just to relax from the flight and before we drive to Chania city. It was a very good solution to sleep there, they have a nice swimming pool and the restaurant by the pool serves good food.
The room was pretty lame.
Great if your flight arrives late in the evening, as it is super close to the airport.
We stayed at Sofia for two nights on 30 and 31 august. We arrived at 9 at night, pool restaurant was open serving excellent food and terrific service. Excellent wifi and free use of computer, very decent room. Staff service was excellent in all respects, breakky good too. We would highly recommend Sofia for position and facilities and service.. Would definitely return if in Crete again .
Convenient location nice pool bar area very friendly
- very close to the airport when you need a night before a early departure - clean - quiet with a nice terrace by the pool
- hotel menu is poor with no restaurants around
The food and convenience for the airport. Wi-Fi also up to spec.
Parking and the rather boring surroundings.
I was staying in sofia as my daughter was in hospital, the staff were amazing very helpful and supportive of my situation, cant thank them enough.would definately go back to stay in the hotel.first class service
Close to airport Very good breakfast convenient parking
Hard bed Air conditioning could be better
Noise by airplanes
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The staleness of the room really hit us as we walked in. I had requested a non-smoking room, but this clearly wasn't; it was awful. The room was barren of even a bar of soap; no hairdryer, tea-making facilities and one drinking glass for a double room.
a lot of effort goes into breakfast, which is great. The young waitress working in the evenings is delightful and a real asset
Unfortunately the afternoon guys at reception are useless and need to go to hospitality school! A map incorporating relationship to the airport and city would be helpful. Local bus and tour info would be useful, I'm a tourist for god's sake! My bathroom had the same hair on the wall and in the sink my whole 10 day stay and was there when I arrived. The hotel is 45mins walk from the town centre.
It is an airport hotel

the staff very kindly and the position, near to the ariport, is very good
Everything was good. Location, rooms, staff, nice pool. Such an easy hotel very close to airport . We went back a second time when leaving Crete to stay before flying out.
We arrived 4hrs early to the hotel as our plans changed, however the staff was very welcoming and not only tried their best to provide us with a room in no time, we also got complimentary breakfast (not incl. in price) we were given the choice of the ready room or wait for our suit, Ok'd cheaper room and staff also offered us discount straight away, brilliant all way long!
The WiFi was excellent . It was very close to the airport which meant the journey became easy. The hotel manager also let me and my girlfriend leave our luggage for five hours while we waited for the flight.
Lots of noise from the planes.
Sofia the owner she is everyday there attending and helping guests.
