Free wi-fi would have been nice. I felt the taxi fare of 10 euro for the 3 minute ride to and from the airport was excessive, although this was not the hotel's fault. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was modern and clean. I enjoyed the pool and being away from the city center. It is also very close to the airport. It seems that everyone that sleeps in Crete complains about the hard beds and the Tang style orange juice and less than perfect breakfast. The same applies here, but it isn't that bad. There is some noise from the airport, but no city noise and the planes didn't bother me. I would definitely choose this hotel again if staying in Heraklion. |

Excellent facilities and very friendly staff - the whole experience is much greater than you would expect for its category Closing the swimming pool in the afternoon - I had hoped to relax before getting an early morning flight. It is near the airport and the glazing does not cope well with the amount of aircraft noise. |

Close to the airport and only 10 minutes by taxi to the center. Very correct prices for good and clean rooms. Staff is speaking English and was friendly. Internet access. |

The hotel was very nice. I arrived after a 36+ hour trip from the USA, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel clean and helpful. The grill was also great for some late dinner. The room was comfortable and bathroom large by European standards. The internet costs for usage, but the kind man at the front desk offered to let me use it for free to email my family and know I had arrived safely. Overall a great hotel and I would definitly stay there again! :) |

This hotel is in the centre of the town, we found it very good for the visit of the city. The bar service is not so good, the breakfast is served to early in the morning. Bathroom is small. |

Good location, close to airport/port, good value for money, plenty of parking space (a real plus for Heraklion!). Rooms spacious and nicely decorated, bathroom just fine with a nice shower cabin. Not really bothered by aircraft noise, as noted by other guests. Breakfast too poor (packed croissants instead of fresh ones!), pool and surrounding area not that clean. Also, wireless internet costs 5 euro for 1.5h, even if you use the lobby PC. |

The Sofia is in a quiet street in Iraklion. My children loved the pool and the room was clean and well furbished. Although near the airport we did not mind at all - very quick to get into the centre of town. Be aware that you can only get snacks - it has no restaurant. |

Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Nice staff. Grill in the evening was fine. Breakfast very simple, could be improved. Fresh fruit and cereals, yoghurt. |
