Sofitel Athens Airport  

Hyvä sijainti aivan lentokentän vieressä oli tärkein kriteeri, miksi valitsimme ko. Hotellin, koska lentomme lähti seuraavana aamuna hyvin aikaisin. Hotelli oli todella siisti, palvelu erinomaista, huone tilava ja sänky aivan mahtava. Huoneessa oli viihtyisä ja tilava kylpyhuone, jossa amme ja erillinen suihkutila sekä erillinen wc.

The freindliness of the hotel staff. I appreciate and respect their beautiful English. The real live person calling the 0400 wake up call after the automated system just to verify was appreciated. The staff made the difference between a routine hotel stay and a very comfortable, relaxing time.

The Athens airport is directly across the street. Food is available 24 hours a day. I was very impressed, and enjoyed the shower facility. Also, wonderful idea having the bathrobes. Very thick and fluffy bedsheets. Coffee, tea, and water are in the room--at no charge. Wonderfull hotel.

The perfect location, 24h service even in the restaurant, kind staff, smoking room, and the most amazing is that you can't hear any noise like the landing&take off from all the airplanes, while it is so romantic at night to see from your window all the little lights from the runway and the airplanes. We found it awesome!!!

Not many choices for restaurants and bars within the hotel. The price of the room and especially the prices of the menu in the restaurants are too expensive. Basically, it's a disadvantage for the hotel cause the residents can walk in the airport that it is 50meters far and have lunch or dinner there! So, by reducing the price of the rooms or restaurant menu could be busier this hotel, it's a wonderful place.

This hotel has an excellent location adjacent to Athens airport. With the ongoing strikes of taxis and the subway in Athens this is a very important feature if you dont want to be stranded in the city and unable to make your flight. It has all the facilities you would expect from a luxury chain and the staff are very friendly and professional. It can be very expensive however for the vacationer who is not on a compant expense card.

No complaints we were just passing through Athens and only spent a total of 10 hours in the hotel

We stayed at the Sofitel Airport because we were flying to Skiathos the following day and arrived late in the evening from Venice. Lovely comfortable room with all 5 star amenities. Indoor pool was a bonus. As, it happened, there was a transport strike and had we stayed in Athens for the night, a transfer to the airport would have been difficult. The room was very quiet and no associated airport noise was audible.

I do think breakfast should be included in all 5 star hotels when a room is booked. This is an opinion of all hotels not only the Sofitel.

Hotel convenience to the airport and train to the city.Friendly helpfull staff and a good breakfurst.

Vastly over-priced. The food was adequate but unimaginative

The swimming pool is very good and the silence inside the rooms.

I called the reception the night before our flight to be awaked at 7 in the morning. I was not called and they could not find any registration and suggested that next time would be better to make a written request, what I think is unnecessarily. I am really used to travel and don't think a wake up call must be so complicate.

Excellent proximity to airport and very comfortable spacious room. We appreciated being upgraded.

Very inflexible only having a maximum of two people per room. We had to pay for a second room just to accommodate our son. As we had booked via the internet and if was unrefundable we were then unable to cancel and book elsewhere as the cost was then very expensive for us, particularly compared with the rest of Greece where we had travelled for nearly four weeks. Then had to ring twice to get the adjoining door open by staff. At check in we were clearlytold internet was free however got billed 18 euro for internet at checkout. The TV was very boring, all the business and news channels that repeated everything was extremely boring and the movie channel was expensive per movie. TV movie channels or programs of interest would be better. The hotel was expensive for meals also. We would recommend the Sofitel Athens Airport due to proximity but not for a family and we would point out the above. Thank you for asking for our opinion.

An ideal hotel for overnight stay when connecting flights are many hours apart, this is our 4th stay and each time we have left fealing relaxed and ready for the next journey.

I love the soft and comfortable bed exelent room service very clean and warm room easy access to the airport taxis and trains. The food was exelent and also the staff was always ready to serve and assist. Would love to stay at the hotel again in the near future. And please congratulate all the staff who looked after us during our stay...... Warm regards stavroula ........

The price should be reduced it's a bit expensive.
