Hotel Sofoklis    

The hotel is small enough to ensure personal service. Demitri the owner is a people person who goes the extra mile to make sure that you have everything you need for your ideal holiday. This included offering to make a cheese and ham toastie late at night and providing snacks and a cocktail on an umpire's stool next to our table whilst we played various card games in the lounge area during the evening. His smile never slipped throughout our week. His American daughter in law Katherine also took great care of us during the breakfast shifts, suggesting places to visit and booking taxi's for us. Excellent location on the sea front. Beach with loungers and shades to the front of the hotel with another beach 5 minutes walk to the left and Papa Nero beach 10 minutes walk to the right. Buffet style breakfast with a wide range of fresh foods. The hotel has a lift and a swimming pool. Our bedroom had a balcony overlooking the sea. Hearing the waves from our room was very relaxing. Several local tavernas, two bakeries and a crepary are sprinkled along the sea front providing a range of local specialities. Very friendly local people.

Just one word: It's a paradise. Go there and Dimitris&Lara, the owners will welcome you with a great hospitality. There you can find a real Turquoise sandy beach just 10 steps away from the hotel and you think that no need to go to Maldives. You can also enjoy nice talkings with the very hospital and "human" citizens of the village; and sure the very fresh seefood. Even the street dogs of different races live in peace in this town; I mean it :) do not miss this town and this hotel.

I like very much : all the staff, atmosfer, music during the brekfest, hospitality , location . It was 8 holiday days very confortable for me and my friends. Sure we will return in Sofoklis.

Extremely tidy; the friendly welcome; the cosy lounge; the breakfast; when the bus was not available due to bad weather conditions, the owner was so kind to give us a lift;

it is extremely clean and the bed is comfortable. it is by the beach and you have a sea view. Lovely breakfast area. Continental breakfast and it is excellent. it is not english breakfast!!!!

Umbrellas and beach chairs costs 5 eur even for the hotel guests .. ..should be free for hotel guests or should be included in ordered coffe .. ..

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The location was excellent, a stone's throw from the beach with crystal clear waters, ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. The hotel is within metres of a variety of restaurants and other beautiful beaches, and villages are accessible by car.

If you are looking for a place to relax, to enjoy the beach and swimming, to hike around the Pilion and to watch beautiful sunrises, the Sofokles is the perfect place to stay. The staff is very kind and supportive and makes your stay a real pleasure. They give you lots of information about the vicinity and the possibilities to make the best out of your vacation, and their hospitality knows no limits. By the way: Even if newspapers are full of negative stories about the Greek economy, the Greek people are still alive, charming and as xenophilic as ever...

Yes, it is true, the bath rooms are small, and if you are looking for a gigantic flat screen TV in your room this is the wrong place to go. Also, you cannot experience a romantic sunset,simply because Agios Ioannis is on the wrong side of the Pilion facing the east. But besides these disadvantages, there are no reasons that can keep you back from making a reservation at the Sofokles.

The owners and staff were very friendly and very helpfull. The location is fantastic and you can really relax there.

This is not about the hotel but for the village. The mean of transport in the village is very poor and you can not move to the area around to see other villages unless you rent a car from other place. There is one shop which rents motor bikes but you never find the people there to rent you the car. I REPEAT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOTEL BUT WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE HOTEL IF THIS WILL NOT GET FIXED.

Super Atmosphäre, nette Wirte, gutes Frühstück, Traumstrand direkt vom Hotel.

We verbleven hier met een groep van 11 vrienden, waarvan 1 persoon in een rolstoel. Een prachtig gelegen hotel met alle faciliteiten en vooral zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars Dimitris en Catherine. De bekommernis om onze rolstoel vakantieganger een zo aangenaam mogelijk verblijf te bezorgen zal ons nog lang bijblijven. De kamer had alle voorzieningen die nodig zijn voor een rolstoel.

Ons verblijf duurde niet lang genoeg!

בהזמנה שלנו לא ציינו שיש במלון שני סוגי חדרים. חדר עם מרפסת וחדר אחר בלי מרפסת וגם קטן יותר. זה מאוד הפריע לחברים שלנו וחבל שהנושא לא צויין בהזמנה.
