The area of Omnia square is not safe at night
The pictures are lies, our beds smelled like cigarettes, the sink leaked, our room smelled like sewage when we would come back to it and opening the windows didn't help because it stunk outside too!!
#1 Unsafe location #2 Ugly room, ugly washing room. It had not been cleaned in a very long time! #3 The atmosphere was terrible: We did not feel comfortable since there were many strange people staying in other rooms and we felt really scary. #4 We leave the hotel after 20 minutes in the room! (the time we needed to find another better hotel!) We strongly suggest you consider removing it from BOOKING or that is controlled by any official tourism office (the guests did not seem mere tourists!)
Nothing! By far the most horrifying accommodation EVER!
The rooms were absolutely filthy, we did not even use the blankets as they were stained and we slept in our clothes as to not have to unpack anything in the hotel. There were cigarette burns in the sheets and dirty handprints on the walls. The shower looked as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time!
The staff was very nice.
The room was dirty with a very bad smell of cigarettes. if you are allergic all you do is to cοugh all the time. the carpets were very dirty. our window didn't close and we were cold all the night. the covers of the bed were used and not cleaned. in other words. NO way again. location is scary at nights.
very kind staff and very very helpful. location near a station of metro but only that.
It's the dirtiest hotel I,ve ever known, no cleaning or making beds in the week we've been there, problems with hot water, parasites in bed (our whole body itched in a couple of days, do not know if fleas or other), in one of the dirtiest and worst neighbourhoods in Athens. Do not reccomend it at all, catch any other hotel and you will be better, that I assure you.
Very very DIRTY..inside room, not have all of the Things supposed to be( for example hair dryer)
You would expect cleaner floor, otherwise excellent value for the money
Very very very dirty place. Smell of cigarattes The bathtube very dirty - as though it was never cleaned. The sheets were dirty, including some hair on the pillow. Very very very dirty. Avoid. Better pay a little more and stay in much nicer place...
Free internet :-)
The room was so dirty, the sheets were yellow and I doubt the bed covers and blankets have ever been washed. The carpet in the room had literally more dust than the street outside with huge drak-brownish spots and paths made by probably the numerous guests before us and the fact I do not think they vacuumed the room like in the last few months probably! Hole in the walls were survivable as well as the primitive methods used to attach the hand sanitizer to the wall in the bathroom (probably somone used a hammer to get it in place). But the fact you could see little black hair on the edges of the bath - evidence of it not being washed properly since like a while. The toilet - also contained evidence of usage not cleaned properly (I am trying to be polite here, as some of the people here might have had their lunches recently). If there was a rating lower on Booking.com - I would gladly use it! I don't think such hotels should even be on Booking.com - the room had nothing to do with the ones promoted on their booking.com profile. Apparently, those used were from once upon a time when the hotel was still new or when they had some cleaning staff! Or they cleaned one of the rooms to just display it... It was literally so digusting that the next day we changed the hotel even though we have pre-paid for 3 nights. When we told at the reception that we are leaving them because it is so dirty we can't really stay a minute more, they did not seem that surprised, took the keys from us without any comment and walked away without even offering a reimbursement or at least assurance they will address the situation. Seemed to me we were not the first one to leave like this... :(
The area isn't great. I wouldn't recommend girls travelling alone to stay here..
This is a cheap hotel/hostel so don't expect a lot but its perfect for a city break.
that is the dirtiest place I ever stay.
The Wi-fi is good, but can't really be used for business purposes.
Absolutely brilliant value for money, daily room service including changing of linen, dry-cleaned packed towels and amenities. Room comes equipped with a fridge and a water boiler and staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
The shower head was annoying as you had to hold it up while you showered in our room... the internet crapped out quite a bit and the toilet flush was bad but apparently that's quite common of Greece's plumbing so not necessarily their bad.
It was nice and central, a nice short walk to the main sights and super close to the Metro line which was a great way to get around.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The location is a bit slum like. The reception is in the first floor, so there is absolutely no control on who is going in and out of the Hotel. The carpets are very dirty and the overall impression of the room was grubby. A/C very noisy, Internet very slow.
The room and bathroom were spacious, the TV, A/C and WiFi worked. It is about 5-7 min walk to Monasteraki and Ermou Shopping Street.
The hotel is very cheap - therefore our expectations already were not high. However, we slept really well in the hotel, had everything necessary, personal was very helpful.. besides, the location is just great - you are only few blocks away from the historical centre :)
Okay this is the list me and my friend did during our stay: 1. Bed bug!! Crazy right how they got top 10 best hotel award 2012 2. Dirty carpet and very dusty on the bed 3. Not very friendly staff.. 4. The website is outdated not the same the photo they shown 5. Cannot close the window..its freezing since it's winter 6. Poor lighting 7. Said free coffee but nay nothing offered Basically since there's more bad than good so u choose :-)
The only thing that I like about this hotel is not even in the hotel..its the area of the hotel which has many halal food restaurant! I eat Briyani only for 2€ and tandoori naan and teh tarik for 3€..this area but not the hotel is really good for Muslim but please don't stay at this hotel
The wifi is slow the toilet in our room is quite bad and no room service.
The location is good, the night is very calm and quiet.
The district itself and its population (ethnic area - Bangladesh, India, etc., though doesn't look criminal, just dirty and scary); the building is old and room/furniture/conditions are VERY basic.
Not far away from the central area; great price (19) as we basically needed a place to store bags before the flight and walk in the center (+ a couple of hours sleep, if needed); big refrigerator, multiple elictricity sockets, free wifi; warm room and water; tee pot; flat screen TV with many channels some of which are in English (Greek subtitles); 24 hours reception/assistance and nice helpfull guys there (taxi, questions, other issues); bed sheets and towel are OK and in the sealed bags...
1. Cleanliness. 2. Air conditioning/heater was not working properly.
1.Location 2.Facilities offered like free wifi, refrigerator, 24 hour reception etc.. 3. Value for Money
The living condition is not satisfied by me, especially in the bath room. Maybe the hotel should clean it as often as possible.
The receptioner in this hotel is very good. When I ask question to him, he can response immediately. By the way, he can use the Chinese search engine and Baidu Yun download.
It took many hours for the A/C to warm the room. Cleaness
Value for money,Location, Wifi
Cleanliness is an issue. However considering this price, it is really not that much problem.
Nice price, location is close to metro station. Very nice staff. Large room.
