Central location, really good value and friendly helpful staff.
The staff was great but some of the guest need some work alot of weird characters in that hotel
Bad location , bad showers, and it was really cold in January there was no heat.
Staff were fairly helpful.
Poor maintainance. Grubby, Residents were mainly foreign male workers, long term. I think young women would be quite intimidated at this hotel. I wouldn't book this hotel again.
It was the cheapest hostel available for the nights I was there.
the room was a disaster. The wifi hardly ever worked, even on their main computer. And when told about it, they did little to nothing to fix the issue. Staff expressed pressure to help, but always with an attitude of annoyance. Don't think of ever walkin in there!
the location just around 1km to Monastiraki square, which centre of attraction Acropolis can be seen and near the entrance gate
the area is quite shabby at night
- Staff is friendly - Room is clean and comfortable - Location is convenient, 10 minutes walk to Ancient Agora and the Acropolis
- Wifi doesn't really work properly
the two young girls were lovely, and the balcony was nice.
staff were rude, bed bugs made us move hotels, the area is dodgy, wifi doesnt work and only cold water showers. not worth the stay.
Location Noise from the street and from guests Unfriendly staff
Overly priced for what you got. Beyond basic and in dirty unsafe neighborhood.
This hotel is right next to a loud bar that blared loud music all night long. The shared restroom was horrible. The location was in the ghetto, dirty and unsafe to walk around at night. Very disappointing experience plus very expensive for what you got.
Worst location, unsafe power/wiring (do not let children near this hotel), no hot water for entire stay, mattress was so thin it was like laying on a timber frame, homeless people living in empty building next door yelling all night, rude careless staff. Asked for a refund on night 2 of stay due to nothing working and was bluntly told no and ignored. Do not stay at this hotel.
Very friendly staff, comfortable beds, fairly big rooms. Not in Athen's best neighbourhood but not dangerous at all, simply a majority of immigrants live there. The street is poorly lit, as almost any other in Greece, for that matter. Anyway, good value for money.
The rooms (and specially the common areas) could've been cleaner. With 7 floors, the only 4-person lift generally needs 2-3 minutes wait unless you want to use the stairs (poorly lit at some spots).
A cheap hostel close to the centre of town. Despite appearances this is actually a fairly safe area of town (the police have a changing room downstairs). Staff are friendly.
In general the place is rather grotty and dilapidated. Bathrooms are unpleasant and the lights don't always work. Air conditioning is in the form of noisy, ineffective ceiling fans. The internet fails when the hotel is anywhere near capacity.
Good, helpful and efficient staff.
No airconditioning in this particular room.
nothing. really. if I were to stretch that to the 200 character minimum, I would say that it was close to a metro line.
neighborhood sucks. very unclean and old. nothing like in the pictures. 1 wall socket that worked, and it was the tv one. at the first night I got several bites of what I thought were mosquitoes, but in the second night I managed to find some bedbugs. When I told the staff, they seemed to know about the problem and said "it is summer's fault. nothing we can do". The staff showed no shame in having the bugs. All that, the need to pay everything in advance and the "not refundable" of the breakfast, which was 1 hard-boiled egg, 4 pieces of small toast, 1 small orange juice glass and a hot ham+cheese sandwich, just made me wish never to go back anywhere near that. This "hotel" shouldn't be in this website. I wish that I've paid a little bit more to have never known such place. Now I've had to thoroughly clean every single piece of my luggage, in order not to bring this bugs home.
Staff is very kind. Wifi works really well. It really close to the Acropolis.
The hotel smells. Rooms are not very clean.
Good value for money, not the most romantic place in the world but clean and honest.
Close to city centre
room reeked of insecticide. shared shower was dirty and you had to leave part of key in unlockable part of shower/toilet room to get light in the shower.
TV not working Reaaaaaaaally dirty!! System of the bathroom is stupid too: you have to use your bedroom key to have light inside the shared bathroom (anybody could take it while you have your shower and go inside your room) In an unsafe area of the city (not recommended for families with children)
Hotel is very suitable for backpackers/low budget travellers, less suitable for family with children. The location is very central. Although the neighbourhood is a bit shabby the hotel is safe. It is clean and has, good matresses. Very friendly and helpfull staff. For travellers on a low budget very good value for your money.
The rooms had no aicondition, only a fan on the ceiling which is just not enough mid-august.
The Wifi was good and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.
This place has bed bugs!! There is no fan or ac and you have to sleep in 40 degree weather. Also, although it is only a 15 minute walk to the main touristic area, the area of the actual hotel is incredibly sketchy and filled with police officers.
Walking distance to plaka and acropolis
There were bed bugs in room 107! I have bites all over me, have to completely boil everything in my luggage to prevent them from spreading, the night staff only offered me a can of fly spray (which does not kill the bugs)... Fan and TV both didn't work, and the location feels unsafe to walk through as a solo female traveller. So cheap but not worth the bed bugs!!! Stay away!!
Recently I was cheated by this hotel ,they charged me two times of the cost both in cash and my credit card! I write this comment to warn all the people who are check this hotel,DO NOT CHOOSE IT! I also hope "booking" can help me to get my money back, and give some punishment to this cheater hotel, thank you in advance! Because we just need to stay one short night before we take the plane to leave Athens, we chose this cheap hotel. From the picture we felt the condition is OK,but when we enter the room we noticed it was completely different from the picture!Very small room, every thing is dirty and old,the air conditioner looked like an antique and maked scary big noise...What's more, the receptionists are very unfriendly, they asked us to give them the key whenever we go out. The worst thing is when we checked out ,they charged us by cash.I didn't doubt of that because I always just make a reservation by my card and pay to the hotel after,I think it's the rule of booking. But today when I checked my credit card I found they already charged me!
