Stanley Hotel    

Room was a corner room and very spacious even with 4 beds. Staff were helpful and friendly, and even organized a packed breakfast for our early morning departure. Metro station was just outside and just 3 stops from Syntagma Sq or 4 stops from the Acropolis. Would happily return to this hotel.

We were on the 7th floor overlooking a roundabout and could hear the traffic noise. It didn't disturb us at all, but light sleepers might want to request a room on the other side.

air conditioner struggled to cool the room

Location is superb just beside a metro station and also next to the bus city tour stop.Nice rooftop with great view over the city and the Acropolis ,very helpful staff. Rooms are big and well equipped.

Location, Value for money,

The price is cheap and the breakfast is okay. Our room is clean and no complains about the rooms. The hotel gives fast responses when I send them emails.

The location is shabby and dirty. Nothing is really around the hotel, maybe just two to three restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Wifi is a bit weak sometimes.

The location is convenient for the bus and train station and is above the metro so you can easily get around. View from the rooftop is nice. Get a drink there and enjoy looking at the Acropolis at night.

The hotel itself is not very nice and is extremely basic and old (could be modernized). For the same price, or just about the same, you can still in the area near the Acropolis which is much nicer and great for walking around at night. It was very loud and not a nice area around the Stanley Hotel. I would not stay there again as there are better options.

I have been traveling for years , but this is the first time I live in a hotel which provides very good service though the low price !!! I will definitely prefer Hotel Stanley for my next travel in Athens.

very clean hotel, 50 meters to metro, helpful stuff (we receive Athens map and thay show us what we can to visit), good breakfast, wanderfull view from roof restaurant, nice sweaming pool and sunbeds on roof.

The hotel is well located, near to the main city squares. The neighborhood did not look well, but we didn't have any problems. The hotel has private parking, not expensive to use. The rooms were enough large for family with two kids. Staff was helpful. Good value for the money.

Internet is free, but you can connect one user at a time.

This hotel is very clean, in a very convenient location, though old-fashioned. Good value for money.

Nice rooftop pool with great view over the city and the Acropolis. Very helpful staff (allowed us to have basic early breakfast before opening time as we had an early flight. Also, we requested to be moved to a room away from the elevator is it was much too noisy at night, which they had no problem helping us with).

A bit noisy, though the double glass keeps most of it out, so only really noisy near the elevators as people tend to congregate there at all hours.

Staff very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are rather old and need refurbishing.

the subway was next to hotel and you could go anywere the breakfast was really nice and the view from the roof garden was amazing

The only aspect that i liked was the location of the hotel as this sat outside of the travel restriction within the city

The hotel was extremely dated, very dark and huge amounts of floor space just left un used with dormat and dusty furniture present. The pictures that are reflected on the booking website are a very poor reflection of the actual state of the hotel. Hotel is in immediate need renovation. My trip to athens was extended by an extra night and my intention before i arrived was to extend my stay in the hotel but upon arrival i changed my mind and the following morning checked out. Food at breakfast was poor, both juice machines not working but you could purchase alternative juice for 3 euros!

I love Athens itself and the metro system is fantastic and easy to navigate. As for the hotel - shocking theft by staff.

I have been totally ripped off by this company. Upon my arrival I paid with my credit card which they said "didnt work" and made me pay in cash, which I did. The next day I showed them my bank statement on line showing the money had come out of my bank account and they said, very unprofessionally - sort it out with your bank its their problem. After I booked out they then said yes I had made the payment and they would refund me my 100 euro. The four men lurked around the credit machine and after a long time said they had refunded my money back onto my card. I left Athens and returned to London to find out they withdrawn another 100 euro and refunded a 100 euro - so I have paid 300 euro for a 100 euro room. I emailed the company and sent my back account, demanding my refund and still have not heard back from anyone. I am going to follow up with legal action, as this is theft. Shocking staff, shocking customer service, unprofessional and I would never recommend this company ever. I am still awaiting a response. The road side rooms are so noisy that one can not get nay sleep anyway so it is a terrible place to stay as well as stealing your money, all in all shocking experience

We've just returned from holidays in Greece and would like to leave our feedback concerning our stay in Stanley hotel, where we`ve spent 6 awesome nights! It took us lots of time to choose the hotel in Athens, but now we can say that our choice was so right! Stanley gets from us 10 points out of 10 possible J)) and the reasons are the following: 1) the location is perfect: right after the corner there is a metro station that leads you to any point of Athens: easy, fast and cheap. Moreover, everything you need is just next door to the hotel: agency to book ship tickets, western union for money transfer, lots of coffee outlets, in 5-6 minutes walking you can reach the main region (Gazi) for partying, chilling with lots of bars and clubs. It will take you around 10 minutes to get to Ermou Street with wide variety of shops. 2) The staff of the hotel impressed us really a lot! Kostas, Dimitris, Voula and Fotis started being real friends to us! We will really miss them! Once you get to know them – you will understand why J Always friendly, smiling, with a sense of humour, giving useful advices, real professionals who want and can help in any situation doing this from the bottom of their heart! 3) When we saw our room we were really pleased as the hotel fulfilled all our wishes stated in the booking form: top floor, with a nice city view on Acropolis. The room was big enough, with long balcony, big bed and comfortable bathroom and everything the girls need: big mirror, large wardrobe, warm carpet and lots of warm lights. It was fresh, tidy and cozy every day. Good free internet connection directly in the room is really rare for the hotels in Athens so it’s a big advantage of Stanley. 4) Breakfast is worth taking. Of course it`s not all inclusive hotel but it`s quite tasty and everybody will find something on his taste. To sum up, this hotel deserves the highest mark and for this little money it`s just a paradise. Thank you, guys, you made our holiday!

Room was clean and comfortable, view was nice, breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we'd had in Greece. Staff are very professional. Can't beat the location/price/proximity to metro transit as the hotel sits on top of a metro station.

The hotel had an excellent location, just beside a metro station. The hotel had a nice view of the acropolis. The staff of the hotel were great, very friendly and accomodating. The woman in the reception gave us a lot of tips on what to visit.

The WIFI signal is too weak. I had to try for 20 minutes before I can get in. When connected, the internet is slow. This is the only thing that I dislike, the rest of the hotel was great.

Very helpfull and friendly staff Location is superb for a tour of Athens as it is just next to the bus city tour stop. Also walking distance to most of the attractions.

Very slow wifi Premises could do with a revamp.
