Bardzo rodzinna atmosfera, wszyscy bardzo pomocni I uczynni, dobra lokalizacja, bo naprawdę blisko do morza, na zakupy, przystanek autobusowy (autobus do Chanii) tuż obok hotelu. Można naprawdę miło odpocząć.

This hotel is old and seems like it needs renovation. The rooms are small and old with a carpet. The bathroom is also very small as well as shower. The shower curtain is not adequate to protect from waters spilling allover the bathroom. The kitchen is not well equiped. The rooms are not as presented in the photos.

Staying at Sun City was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived the welcome was so friendly from the lady owner. Her two charming daughters helped in the pool bar and were polite and friendly and never stopped smiling. There was a real family atmosphere. Everything was very clean with a nice pool. There is a lovely beach 3 minutes walk away and a couple of really nice and friendly family run restaurants were they gave you lots of free drinks. It was all really good value. Good bus service into Chania for night life and a Venetian harbour for tavernas and boat trips. Highly recommended. Mother with grown up daughter.

Nothing I didn't like!

Hi, it's a very friendly family own hotle, just 40 rooms, very clean ,good location ,helpfully stuff ,nice and clean swimming pool,close to 3 very nice beaches,close to big supermarket, just 4 km west of chania. , feel like home away from home, we stayed 7 nigh ,family with 3 boys ( baby 8 months old and ). Really enjoyed the stay very recomended, best value for the money.

The Sun City hotel is ran by a lovely family and is located very well, right next to major points of interest, in a quiet little beach town near Chania called Agii Apostoli. Supermarkets, beaches, bus stations, restaurants, tavernas are all within a very short walk. The rooms are great, I've stayed in 204 facing the mountains and having a bit of a view towards the sea. It had a large double bed, cooking stove & all utensils you'd ever need, a fridge, a TV, a rather small but functional bathroom, and, of course, air conditioning which is included in room's price, unlike in other hotels. The room was cleaned daily, the towels replaced, and the entire hotel is sparkling clean, no bad odors or crappy paint jobs, the hotel looks great. I haven't gotten to try the swimming pool due to having too many beach choices nearby, but it looked clean and it had a section for kids. The owner's daughters are always happy to serve you at the bar and are always smiling and trying to make you relax and have fun. From nearby you can take the bus to the effervescent port town Chania which will delight you with its multitude of attractions, from its Venetian inspired villas, to the shopping avenues, to the museums and the dinner on the promenade place on the port docks with tons of restaurants for choices. You can also easily get from there to remote places in the island such as the Knossos ruins or the beautiful Samaria gorge, or to the nearby towns of Agia Marina for an all-nighter at the clubs there. All and all, I've had an amazing relaxing vacation and I will definitely go there again next year.

It's not specific to the hotel, but there are some annoying cricket like insects in Crete that make much noise during the day. Fortunately they shut up at night. The hotel is close to a road with light traffic which ceases at night. That said, you can always close the door to the balcony and start the air conditioning and easily sleep even during the day. Lastly, the free WiFi in my room wasn't very strong, it could be improved.

Location! Location! Location! Its in the vicinity (5 min walk) of 3 fantastic blue flag beaches. One of which has romantic restaurants where you can sit and watch the sun drop over the yonder. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel servicing Chania city every 10 minutes. The convenient 2 food stores right next door gives you the option of self catering. There are 3 travinas within walking distance for an evening meal. The Hotel Family run and VERY friendly, VERY hospitable and extremely helpful. The hotel although slightly dated is in immaculate condition. The room was cleaned every day we stayed and towels changed every 2nd day.# Our room was looking out to the sea where again one could watch the sunset. Also behind the hotel was a wildlife environment which was very peaceful. The swimming pool is large and very relaxing to lay by on a hot day. There is also lilos you can use and the bar is right next to it for a refreshing drink. We would highly recommend this hotel and the location in Crete. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so that we are considering another holiday at sun city next year.

It is difficult to write anything negative about sun city because our holiday and experience was so superb. For a simple hotel the facilities outweighed our expectations. Discovering Crete from this base was very much perfect for us. The holiday came in on budget and the self catering was a good option because Cretan food (without the salads) can be quite heavy. And a lot of the restaurants sell the same fare so it was a relief to be able to make something more to our taste ourselves. We spent £250 over 2 weeks for 2 people self catering and we ate out a further 6 times in Chania and spent a further £200.

Very good localisation close to five sandy beaches, very friendly and helpfull staff, silent place. Close to Chania - around 10 minutes by local bus. I've spend there almost 2 weeks and my family and me were very satisfied with thish hotel and reccomend it to other travelers.

Sun city is a family business. We were welcomed very warm and during our stay the typical Greek hospitality was obvious. The management if the hotel was really helpful and made us feel like home. Great location 5 minutes from several beaches and 10 minutes by bus to the city of Chania. Excellent!

It was right by the beach. The staff, Gina and her family were amazing, warm, helpful and fun. Highly recommend it. Loved the cleanliness most of all and the helfulness to all of our needs.

We had a very nice appartment in this pleasnt family run hotel. A short walk to the beach and easy bus ride into Chania. Rooms had everything that we needed and the whole place is kept very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's in a fairly quiet area, might not be enough night-life for some, but suited us fine.

We booked this studio based on fab reviews and we were not disappointed. Great location- within 10 mins walk of 4 lovely well managed bays. Restaurants plentiful within walking distance. Bus for chania nearby and runs every 20 mins till midnight. Nearby supermarkets. Owned and run by the lovely family and nothing was too much trouble , they make everyone feel so welcome- thank you.

We would have given a10 only for the fact that the shower was tiny (and we are not big people)

Sun City is clean and cosy mid size hotel that is run by a lovely family. All staff is very service prone. The water in the swimming pool was extremely clean (compare to several bigger hotels) and there were air mattress and rings for hotel guests.

The breakfast was good, but still it might have been nice to have some variation to it.

Small family owned and run hotel, with hospitable and very helpful staff. They helped us plan our trips on the island and gave us very good tips on places to visit. Room is large enough, clean, has a kitchenette, a safe and a regular split ac unit (no extra costs). Located very close to two supermarkets (2 minutes walk). Close to a very nice beach (5-6 minutes walk). Bus station almost in front of the hotel and the bus ride is 15-20 minutes to Chania. The pool area looks nice (but with so many nice beaches, why would I spend time at the pool?).

The only thing I didn't like was the shower place in the bathroom which was kind of cramped.

We had a fantastic holiday at Sun City. It was in a great loaction with four beautiful sandy beaches within a ten minute walk and two large supermarkets a 2 minute walk away. Although the local area is fairly quiet, the bus stop for Chania was practically opposite the hotel and was well worth a visit. We also went on a couple of excursions (to Samaria Gorge and Elafonissi beach) which picked us up outside of the hotel. The hotel itself was perfect for a relaxing holiday. The rooms were cleaned every day, with the towels changed every other day and the swimming pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers. The staff were incredibly welcoming without being intrusive and this is what really defines the hotel. We really hope to go back again one day.

I don't think I have ever stayed at a friendlier or cleaner place in my life! Pleasant room with air con, a decent balcony and tiny kitchenette. Cleaned every day and fresh towels every couple of days. Sparkling pool with plenty of sun loungers in sun or shade, a delightful beach no more than 10 minutes walk away and shops and restaurants very close by (see below). Gina and her family made a us feel very welcome and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. Buses into Chania town stop almost outside for the 4Km journey into town and there are other beaches nearby.

Only slight negative is that it is on a fairly busy little road so there is a fair amount of traffic noise and the pool is right next to the road. Also there is a very ugly Lidl supermarket right next door (just look beyond it to the fantastic White Mountains!)

Our family of three adults and one elder child stayed at the Sun City Hotel 16-23 June 2012. The family who runs the hotel were very friendly and made us feel at home. We appreciated that mother Gina helped us to find nice local restaurants and interesting sights. The hotel was centrally located with beaches, two supermarkets, taxi- and bus station nearby. The appartments were kept clean and tidy. The staff made delicious breakfast with eggs, fresh orange juice and homemade marmelade for us whenever we woke up. We will definately come back!

An excellent hotel with very friendly staff

The owners of Sun City make every effort to ensure their guests have every thing they need for a good holiday. It would be very hard to find a more friendly and helpful couple, in Crete or any other country.

We loved or stay at Sun City. We booked the room through bookings and right after she sent me an email saying that if we had booked directly with her on the site we could change the price for cheaper because it was listed as too high on Bookings. I did not see the email until later, but I think our stay was more than worth the extra money we paid. It was one of the best parts of the trip. Gina and her family went out of their way to make sure we didn't feel like gusts, but felt like friends. If we were to ever return, we'd return just for them and stay at that hotel again for sure. Gina is truly wonderful and made leaving so hard!

Le vrai luxe pour le prix d'un hôtel moyen en France (ou d'un hôtel médiocre à Paris). Très bien situé et très bien équipé. Petit déjeuner extraordinaire. Par ailleurs, contrairement à ce qu'on raconte la plupart des guides, Heraklion vaut bien quelques jours de visite, sauf si on veut absolument être à moins de 5 mn d'une plage.
