The location is breathtaking as you are right next to the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis at the same time. The included breakfast is sumptuous and delicious. The noise from the rooms beside the road kept me awake unfortunately. |

The view of the Acropolis from our room & balcony was amazing! The location, just steps away from the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and Plaka, was wonderfully convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. |

Attentive staff, excellent location, clean and comfortable hotel with great views from the restaurant. Room slightly too warm and a little too noisy outside to have the window left open at night |

I loved the location and the amazing rooftop bar with views of the Acropolis and other ruins. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were all very helpful. Although it was November, the temperatures were still warm, and we would have liked air conditioning in our rooms. The hotel said that at a certain point in the year, they are not able to us the a/c and can only use fans. The fan, even on high in our room, was basically nonexistent, which was disappointing as the hotel advertises a/c. |

The location is wonderful! Across the street is the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis can be seen from the rooftop restaurant, the hop-on hop-off bus stop is just outside the hotel and the Plaka is just behind the hotel, with lots of sidewalk cafes and shops. The staff were excellent, all English speaking and very helpful. Our bellhop, John, who was born in Canada of Greek parents, must have spent ten minutes with us explaining everything and giving us tips on sightseeing, etc. |

Great views of the Acropolis, very nice staff. Location is incredible. Very close to the monuments of Acropolis and to the new Acropolis Museum. Easy access from the airport, by metro. |

The location of Athens Gate is perfect - just around the corner from the major tourist sites. Breakfast at the terrace was fantastic - great selection of food and fabulous view of the Acropolis. |

The view from our room was lovely, great location. But in particular the staff in the breakfast room were extremely professional and would go out of their way every morning. They were polite, friendly and eager to make everyone comfortable. Excellent hotel management. Our hotel balcony door did not seem to seal properly so we were getting quite a bit of noise from the street. But it is a very busy road. |

The location is perfect. They have a roof garden where is a bar and a restaurant. You can have breakfast and dinner there. I booked a double executive room facing arcopolis. I took photos of acropolis just at my balcony. Very nice. Well, may be the hotel locates in the golden area. Like elsewhere, it's not spacious at all, even the "executive" room... That's why I think Value for money is poor. There is no much space left after the queen- size bed in the room. Rooms facing arcopolis don't have bath tab while those facing temple of Zeus might have. I once thought of changing room to the other side, but I gave up finally. |

The staff was always helpful and cheerful and the rooftop restaurant was excellent. Although in an old building, the rooms were very clean. The location was perfect for tours and shopping, and the view of the accropolis at night was beautiful as well. |

The hotel was beautiful. the views excellent, as the location. The breakfast good and evening meals very good, with views in all direction of Athens at night, just magical! The rooms lovely, modern and clean. The views excellent. The room we had at the front on the sixth floor was rather noisy, the room at the rear of the hotel was quieter. The views from both excellent. |

The location is excellent for visitors wishing to explore the city. We had been advised that traffic noise from the major thoroughfare on which it is located could be a problem, but we noticed the noise only when the doors to our balcony, which overlooked that road, were open. Seemingly as compensation, our balcony also afforded a perfect view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, directly across the stree, and the Acropolis itself, on an angle to the left. The hotel's facilities were all that one expects of accommodations in its category. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay and would return to the Athens Gate, should we visit the city again. We experienced some small lapses in service that the hotel would do well to correct. For example, both our key cards malfunctioned regularly, despite being replaced several times (and, incidently, being kept apart from credit cards and like items). There is a small charge for Internet access, which, although inconsequential, seems out of place, given that any number of hotels in lesser categories routinely offer access at no charge. In one incident that I attribute to thoughtlessness, I requested coffee to take to my room to enjoy while I waited for my companion to prepare for breakfast. I was given a cup of coffee; a pot (whether full or partly full is immaterial) with a cup and saucer would have met my expectations more closely. |
