The Island Hotel is an adults/couples-only hotel enjoying a prime waterfront location in Kato Gouves. All rooms and suites are equipped with air-condition, refrigerator, satellite LCD TV and internet access. They also have balcony or veranda. Safe deposit boxes are available free of charge. The complex consists of 3 bars and 3 restaurants, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as a host of leisure activities including a bathhouse and a fitness centre. Gouves is home to many souvenir shops, traditional restaurants and bars. Gouves area is conveniently located close to the Creta Aquarium, and the Diving Centre, only 16km east of Heraklion International Airport and 7 km from Hersonissos village. A very friendly hotel,the staff were brilliant,the pool side meals drinks and service were superb,and we will be returning. no iron available that is all.

Хороший отель, приветливый персонал. В номерах убирают хорошо. Постельное белье хорошее. Претензий нет. 1. У отеля нет собственного пляжа. Общественный пляж близко. Однако там очень грязно. Весь песок утыкан окурками. Их вообще не убирают. За 10 дней 1 раз видела уборщика с граблями. Но от этой уборки было очень мало пользы!!! 2. Не забудьте взять фумитокс, иначе по ночам будете гонять комаров!

Loved the location and friendliness of staff, Could not stay in same room on day of departure had to pay for other room which was way over back of hotel which was not ideal

Sehr schönes Hotel in grosszügiger Anlage. Viele Möglichkeiten zum Ausspannen. Kleiner aber herrlicher Strand mit gratis Liegen und Sonnenschirm. jeden Tag frische Strandtücher auf dem Zimmer. Nahe zum Flughafen doch der Fluglärm ist nicht störend. Ideal für Kurzurlaub und Ruhesuchende. Keine bis schlechte W-Lan Verbindung. Klimaanlage zwar in Betrieb aber eher achwach. Zimmertüre ist aus Glas und dadurch ist es durch die Flurbeleuchtung ziemlich helll in der Nacht. Nächstes Jahr solll dieses Problem gelöst werden.

The Beach My debit Card was charged thrice - and they were not concerned as they did not believe I was saying the truth. They handled the matter rather unprofessionally - it was a very upsetting expereince as the absence of funds in my account made my holiday rather unpleasant.
