it was fairly clean, the size was good, close to the plataia and the fridge was new What I did not like at all, is that we made an on-line reservation for a house with a shared pool and got called the next day that unluckily all of them - in contrast to what the internet said - were fully booked. We were told that there are free apartments which are smaller but from the standard comparable to the houses. This was not true at all - if the standard of the houses is as shown on the pics in the internet... The apartments were basic and very dark as the apartment had no real windows to the outside. The were all facing a funnel respectively the neighbouring wall within 2 meters. The description that they are "elegantly constructed, and furnished ... and look at the sea and Public beach nearby" can be called 'misleading' if you want to be extremely positive.

Good position with simpatic view on the hills, continual "friendly" wind bring you good stay on terrace in combination with your stay in pool. One aspect only which limits you habitation in the place - you need a car, otherwise it's a tough job to walk up especially if you are with the kids. Probably for a most of people it's not so important.

View (though not on sea), but quiet. Decoration "typical" Swiming Pool Avalaibility, kindness and disponibility of the owner Air conditioning not cool enough for parent's bedroom. there is only one machine for the whole flat...and the room on the higher stair can hardly benefit from it. Quite small Be aware that if you rent a flat under the other one..it may be noisy if the later is occupied, which was by chance not our case.

de buitenkeuken boven het klepperen van de luiken en wind die door deurspleten woei. de terrasdeur boven vloog herhaaldelijk open. we misten een makkelijke zetel aan de open haard.

Design und Ausstattung sind hervorragend. Uriges Ambiente; sehr schönes Panorama. Sehr angenehme Betreuung; beste Serviceleistung. Beschwerlicher Anfahrtsweg. Ein schmales Auto (Fiat Panda o.ä.) dringend anzuraten. Achtung: Moskitos! Zwar gibt es Moskitonetze; Schutz durch Moskitogitter vor den Fenstern wäre aber komfortabler. Schlafzimmer unter dem Dach hat den Nachteil, dass es heiss ist in der Nacht; und die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut und zugig - das Schlafen ist also nicht so einfach. Die alte (traditionelle) Bauweise bringt es mit sich, dass es im Haus stets ziemlich dunkel ist. Wer es hell (zum Lesen) und luftig haben möchte, ist hier fehl am Platz.

Die Aussicht war wirklich sehr schoen! Bei schlechtem Wetter eher nicht zu empfehlen. Fensterlaeden klappern und regnet rein. Wir hatten sogar Stromausfall fuer laengere Zeit

Very unusual, stone built home. Authentic Crete. Loads of history. Fantastic terrace with wonderful view of Elounda and Elounda bay. You had to step out of the house to get to the kitchen and bathroom - but you soon get used to it.
