A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located by the Temple of Olympion Zeus. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.
Score from 2074 reviews Very good

Hotel Plaka has a prestigious location in the historic center of Athens. It is just a 5-minute walk from Syntagma Square and 2 blocks from Monastiraki Metro Station.
Score from 1248 reviews Excellent
Love the location in Kifissia, an exclusive suburb of Athens. The best shopping, restaurants and park-like atmosphere. Perfect. Fabulous buffet breakfast included in rate. The best staff. I am a repeat customer and hope to return every year.
There's nothing to criticize.
I liked the location and the size of the rooms.
The rooms are dated. The staff are not very professional - They were not rude but you can hear them talk to each other and they are not very professional. The hotel did not have a clue about our reservation from booking.com and this led to delays in checking in. Also, for a 5-star hotel, you'd expect 24hr room service. This was not available. Although this was not the hotel's fault we were rudely awakened at 4am by a neighbouring room playing extremely loud music.
comfortable, spacious, quiet and luxurious hotel in the beautiful Kifissia area
We needed some assistance from the reception desk at night, but the guy didn't seem to speak nor understand English.
Excellent location. Safe.opposite a park and church and great cafés. Walking distance to gorgeous designer boutique shops. Lovely views over park. Pristine. Sumptuous inclusive breakfast
Horror phone bill. I was a medical tourist and my own phone failed me. I was forced to use hotel phone to talk to aus Drs. Was charged aus $7 per minute.. Whilst having a relaxation massage the garden staff turned power tools outside the room. Massage bed wasn't a massage bed It's a business hotel Total priority on business customers not medical tourists or recreational tourists.
Breakfast, big room, nice pool, very close to restaurants and night life
Only one night but lovely people in lovely place
Stay was too short
Everything. We've stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and we always leave happy with our choice. Front desk staff is particularly friendly and helpful.
Hotel room was very spacious, clean and the TV had internet service. There was also a sitting area in the room with desks to get some work done. There are also computers situated on the second floor which had cable internet connection. Quiet area. Lots of shopping to do nearby.
Location was about 40 minutes away from city centre by train. Stayed in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor, the wi-fi signal was very weak and frequently disconnected from my iphone (however i must say, when it's connected, the internet was very smooth). Toothbrush pack was not provided (yet all the other stuff, eg: shoe polish and vanity set was provided!), had to ask reception for it. Breakfast selection was limited and same for all three mornings I was there.
The hotel was in a very nice area and quality of rooms and bed comfort were very good
Carpet looks old
The hotel was beautifully quiet and relaxing. The location is great. Kifissia has lots of resturants and shops only a stroll away. The metro makes a journey into central Athens easy or taxis are plentiful.
A small thing.... the in house music was a little loud and heavy on the base. Thump thump thump!
Location is perfect if you are interested in being close to fancy places, fine restaurants(day and night time) and it's 25 min away from two nice shopping malls ( Kifissia itself is full of very nice shopping options). The neighborhood is elegant
Great position great hotel just out of the city with all you need within walking distance. Fantastic.......
The Theoxenia Palace is situated in an upmarket suburb on the outskirts of central Athens. The local shopping & restaurants were good. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed an excellent meal from Room service after our late evening arrival.
We were greeted somewhat fiercely on arrival by a receptionist who said "can I have your passports" when a "Welcome to Theoxenia Palace" would have been much more welcoming. We were disappointed that non-smokers were not protected during breakfast from the smoke drifting in from those smoking on the patio.
Nice pool Spacious room Free good internet Nice little cafes and restaurants in abundance near the hotel
Location is too far from central Athens Limited recommendations on what to see or do in Kifissia/Athens
Reception Staff Pool Area Location
I paid for a Deluxe Room but discovered we were put in the smallest Deluxe Room on the floor probably because we used Bookings.com.
Great location! Nice atmosphere.
Bed not comfy.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. Its in a lovely area of Athens near restaurants, bars & shops. The staff were really nice & helpful & couldnt do enough for us. Our room was lovely.
We dont have any complaints
The lovely neighborhood lots of shops & good restaurants & the public transportation is around 8 minutes walk, we were upgraded to a superior room which was spacious, clean & lovely decorated, the staff were very cooperative
The mattresses & pillows were not comfortable, the breakfast was not as you would expect in a 5 star hotel, the floors of the rooms were noisy!
No complimentary water or tea, no water kettle, not up to international hospitality standards. Reception Staff doesn't smile often enough. Offer in booking.com seems more like a hoax, stating that the normal room charge is worth more than 2000 EUR per night for a 5 star hotel, but it is just a standard room with extremely low quality bed.
The room was well furnished, beds comfortable. The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere. Staff in the breakfast area were very friendly.
The hotel is VERY far from the centre of Athens. The woman at reception when we arrived was not very pleasant . There were no prices given for the beauty/massage treatments.
