The hotel was nicely remodeled, so still had that "new" feel. It's location is ideal, within walking distance to the Acropolis, Plaka & Monastraki shops & restaurants. Lobby is still being remodeled, which will be nice when it's finished, but if you're traveling soon, don't expect a lobby to lounge in.
They advertised a 2-bedroom apartment but it's really a 1-bedroom with 2 extra beds in the livingroom. The only sitting area is a dining table with 4 wooden chairs: no sofa/arm chairs for lounging. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom so may be incovenient for group travel. Also, be warned: beds were extremely hard & internet was not always reliable on top floors
Location is near to the acropolis, plaza, museum, metro, food...... Apartments are clean.... no frills type. ...
Everything was fantastic!
Shower splashed a lot, could have done with more shower curtain/protection. I would have loved a sun lounger on the beautiful balcony.
Tony and his son are very nice guys. It is obvious that they want you to enjoy Athens and their hotel. The room was perfect for our family and we look forward to returning in the future. I really look forward to what materializes on the roof and in the lobby after renovations are complete. The renovation work never bothered us with noise either. Room quality was very very nice. Thanks guys. Oh, btw, we liked the Ambrosia restaurant...perhaps we just LOVE tasty gyros ;-)
That we couldn't stay longer and that the lobby/roof renovations are not yet complete. As I said, noise was never an issue.
Location: nice & quiet neighbourhood with still enough restaurants and supermarkets closeby; close to the Acropolis; Room looks nice & modern Beautiful & clean bathroom
Due to renovations there was no reception desk, which was a bit strange when arriving (had to call and wait for 5 minutes), and it also meant there was no one to ask questions The elevator wasn't working The beds were way too soft, after one night of sleep my back was hurting. The rooms are nice, but the price/quality ratio is off; for this price breakfast should be included.
good location, cosy room, quiet place, excellent bathroom
no cooker in the kitchen
Great room, kitchenette, bathroom, location and Tony. I arrived with rented car and asked Tony to find the place to return the car and he told me to follow him after his scooter and then took me back to the hotel on his Honda scooter. No match for room and attitude.
They were excellent with setting up airport transfers and suggesting travel/food options within the city. Tony even wrote out an address for us in Greek to give a taxi driver so we didn't get lost. The location was also fantastic. We walked most places.
During some of our stay the wifi was a bit shotty but we weren't there to spend a ton of time online anyway so that wasn't a big issue.
Nice small hotel, away from touristic paths yet still in a walking distance to Acropolis. Clean room, friendly staff. 10 mins walk from metro station. Very quiet surroundings, even if your room faces the street (almost no traffic).
Everything. The staff was overly helpful and made our stay amazing. We arrived at nearly 3am but they waited for us to let us in.
Very nice modern rooms Good location close (walking distance) to places of interest and in a quiet + safe area Could find a public parking in the neighbouring streets For breakfast there are places in the streets around as well
Hotel Tony is perfect for a short break in Athens. The location is ideal in a quiet area a short walk from the Acropolis, and within walking distance of other main areas of interest. The accommodation was ideal for us and our two children, as there is a bedroom and a living area with two beds. The kitchen facilities meant that we were able to make our own breakfast. The rooms were clean and modern with tastefully chosen furnishing. The bathroom (and particularly the shower) was large and pristine, and all the fittings looked very new. I thought the price was reasonable given the quality of the accommodation and I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Tony to anyone visiting Athens. They will also organise airport transfer to the hotel, which we found very convenient.
It is near to all the famous tourist places you would want to see in Athens. Well connected to Public transport as well.
Little bit costly for the surroundings. Shower in the bathroom has no curtain which lets the water drain into the rest of Bathroom.
Rooms were very clean, location is within short walk to all major sites in Athens, several markets/bakeries, etc within a few blocks, WiFi was very fast. Hotel arranged for taxi driver to pick us up at airport. Made transition to room super fast. We would stay here again for sure
Rooms were very clean and recently renovated. Great value for money and close to the Plaka and the Acropolis
Good location within walking distance of the centre. Nice rooms in a quiet area.
Bed was a bit hard, but overall an excellent place to stay.
The location of this hotel can't be beat. Close to the acropolis and all of the action, yet it's on a quiet street. Tony has amazing recommendations for restaurants, etc. in the area. They provide ample towels for everyone.
Beds are a little hard and there are no shower curtains in the bathrooms, leaving a wet mess everywhere after a shower.
Friendly and efficient host Walking distance to places of interest Modern room
Somewhat hard mattress (but far better than the average in Greece)
Great location Great value for money
Bathroom smelled bad, no air extractor
There was no one at the office and the door was locked when we arrived after dark. We waited over 15 minutes before anyone answered the bell and we didn't know if we would be stranded in Athens with nowhere to stay.
Very poor wifi in the room in the basement. The hotel owner tony was not helpful. The kitchen utensils and the microwave were super dirty. We will not come back again if we visit Athens next time!
Location to sites and restaurants Walking distance Tony very helpful
hotel and neighborhood a little dark, but was very safe
Very clean, comfortable. Excellent shower. Good and. Quite location.
Good suggestion for a good and cheap esting
