Tzekos Villas  

Location is superb, very close to the picturesque centre of Fira. The setting of the hotel is brilliant with breath taking views from the rooms as well as the pool area within the hotel. Staff are lovely, genuinely friendly and very helpful.

Very helpful staff- both day and night reception. Excellent location with a five minute scenic walk to town. Also steps away from a supermarket. Nice sized pool as well.

The basic rooms had more of a side view than expected.

The people were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The location is outstanding and we had a magnificent room.

The bathroom door didn't close in our room so I had to place something against it while in use so the door didn't swing open.There was no fan in the bathroom and we had to keep the window open for ventilation and the lighting was minimal. The bar fridge rattled interrupting our sleep.

The location is excellent - right in Fira center close to everything, but not immediately on the tourist routes. Also important that the auto road ends very close to the hotel, so you don't have to drag your luggage for too long on the steep steps, unlike with many hotels hanging lower above the caldera. Numerous tavernas and restaurants around with excellent food. There is a spa hotel nearby where I went for treatments without paying their high rates. The view from the hotel is very good - you can see all the caldera and the sunset view from the pool is much better than in most hotels in Oia. The staff are just great - very attentive, remember your name instantly, give great recommendations on the sites and places to eat. Michael and Stavroula deserve 10 points for their approach! A bottle of wine as a welcome gift was a nice touch.

Breakfast is not their strongest feature - it was rather plain and the same every day. Also extending breakfast time till 11.00 would be good - sometimes you want to stay in bed longer while on vacation. Although some rooms have outdoor baths on the balconies, those are not totally private and can be seen from other rooms or hotel areas. Nothing bad about it, but some people may get disappointed about it.

The service was great. Tablurah, Micheal and Theodore were very attentive, supportive and friendly. They were always smiling which really made us feel welcomed. Will The location and the views were fantastic.

Staff was extremely. Especially Michael & Theodore. Had a wonderful stay & the staff was definitely part of the expierence. Best views of the volcano, Mediterranean & sunsets. Will definetly be back!!

Everything! Great value, amazing views, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Our suite had a private jacuzzi that was very romantic at sunset. Stay here- you won't regret it.

We discovered tzeskos online, booking.com. We were greeted by friendly staff who responded to our online requests for a room with an indoor spa. We were invited to view 2 suites, making a choice of a room with a spectacular view. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities relaxing and the baggage handler was excellent! We would love to return to this destination one day!

Each room is very unique and has its own outdoor patio to enjoy the amazing view of the volcano. The pool area is wonderful for sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the sunset. Breakfast was yummy and the staff was very friendly and helpful - they basically planned our days in Santorini! Great location - quiet and peaceful, but only a 5 minute walk to the action in Fira. The rooms were very clean and well kept.

Very lovely rooms and Paulo was very helpful. Excellent view from the balcony even in the room through your window!!! Standard breakfast, fresh and tasty. Location is just perfect, close to the center of Fira but not too close to be noisy.

So many stairs....was a nightmare for us cuz we were carrying loads..

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Tzekos. We loved the amazing views from our room and from the pool area. It was quiet and peaceful making it a perfect romantic place to relax. The location was also very good and only a 5 min walk to the town.

I loved the location, next to the bus stop and near the city center. The view from our room (I was travelling with my mother) was great and then jacuzzi on the terrace was the best. The bed was more than confortable, perfect. Breakfast was good too and the woman that worked there in the morning really friendly, always answering my questions about greek language. Anyway thank you for a great stay!

No body told us the jacuzzi by night had a product that made things green.. we went into the jacuzzi with my mom around ten and the next day my bikini (usually white) was green and blue stained, and my mom's blond hair was green.. yes, green..

great view, friendly staff, central location

usual complaints: equipment not working, dangerous stuff(stairways, slippery tiles, lack of personal safety equipment i.e. no handrails in showers etc), only fair breakfast service, and why can't they get wate3r soluble toilet paper?

The sunsets

Very small bathrooms. Not enough umbrellas around pool.

The staff was friendly, the accomodation was OK and not far from the main part of Fira.

The only point was the bed. Everytime one of us moved or turned on the bed it would make creeking noises which would wake us up.

What my wife and I most liked during our stay from 29 June to 4 July 2012 was the lovely way we were treated by the people of Tzekos Villas, especially Pavlos at reception who is a very refined and erudite man who has very interesting information about Greek culture and history, and Spiros who made our visits to the pool really cool. The service and professionalism are first class. We always wanted to stay in the Caldera and we were not disappointed. What an exceptional view! The room was spacious and spotless with a huge bathroom and shower, and the peace at night was complete, away from the nightlife noises near the Old Port area of Fira. The stairs to the rooms are obviously steep along a cliff, but it was a very healthy exercise to climb after the indulgence in the many excellent restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. We were also helped with our luggage on arrival and again on departure. Thank you all at Tzekos Villas for an unforgettable stay!

The view from our balcony is stunning. Yes there are lots of stairs to reach the room but it's all worth it. Our bed is very comfortable, we had a good sleep during our stay. The breakfast is not bad at all.

Our stay at Tzekos was perfect from all points of view, above expectations for price we paid. Room was large, had a great view, breakfast was just perfect, pool was in a good location with great view and large enough and also had a pool bar, staff was very friendly and helpfull. Warmly recommend!

This hotel is fantastic if you want the 'real Santorini experience & views'. The balcony is well worth it and the rooms are amazing. The breakfast was basic but good enough. I felt the hotel was a little overpriced - for the amount of time you spend in a room it would have been better for $50 less. But overall I wanted a splurge in Santorini and this place was awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
