This was a great first stop in Crete. It is close to Heraklion airport, Knossos, Phaestos, Gortyn and other ancient ruins. It has spacious, well- equipped accomodations and beautiful views, and it is quiet and relaxing. Stelios gives great directions, and Stella gives great advice. They provided a wonderful introduction to Cretan foods and Cretan hospitality and charm. If you need two beds, someone has to sleep on the sofabed.

It was a perfect trip. the owners could not have been more welcoming. They were Very attentive to all our needs. The views across the valley to the sea were lovely. The breakfast and dinner used local produce and you could also walk to a taverna in the village which had incredible views. The Owners certainly know how to look after you and have picked a perfect location for the small hotel. We had complete rest and relaxation. Nothing.

The hotel is amazing. Excellent view, nice suits, wonderful decoration. The owners, Stella and Stelios, are very friendly and they take care all you may need during your stay. If you are not looking for a beach hotel the Vergis Epavlis would be a great place to relax. We spent three magic days over there. Everything was perfect.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with high ceilings, they stay cool without the air con. Balconies face Heraklion and the coast with views to the sea and the stars at night. Although we were blighted with the 'flu and unable to use the pool it was just as immaculate as the rooms. However, the best asset at Vergis Epavlis is the owners Stelios and Stella who are genuinely nice people and mix tradition warm Greek hospitality that has been diluted elsewhere by tourism and multicultural understanding of us idiosyncratic British gained from many years living in northern Europe.

Suite très confortable et spacieuse, piscine parfaite, vue magnifique ...et merveilleux accueil des propriétaires pleins de gentillesse et toujours aux petits soins. Ne pas manquer les diners à l'auberge délicieux, typiques...et à un prix défiant toute concurrence

Geweldige locatie ! Panorama !!!! Zeer rustig en landelijk, maar toch niet ver van kust (huurauto nodig) Ruimte en comfort (luxe) Zeer verzorgde maaltijden met aandacht voor lokale delicatessen. Idem in dorpstaverne. Supervriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw ! Onvergetelijk ! The best ever done ! (minder geschikt voor mensen die drukke, disco-sport-spel-kinderclub vakanties verkiezen) To end this vacation !!!
