..got upgraded to the top floor suite which was really nice.. beautiful old building in the centre of town, convenient for everything.

..only downside was being right next to the old church, whose bells went off very early..not a great place to stay if you're not into bells at 7a.m. ! ..apart from that, all good..

Handy location between the bus station and the old town, both within easy walking distance. Nice classical building, retaining charming details like wooden floors and the central staircase. My room had a balcony with a good view over the cathedral and the square. The downside was a bit of noice from the square, but fortunately the windows provided good sound proofing. My room was clean and had a good wifi connection.

No breakfast. The good view from my room on the second floor implied climbing a few stairs. No problem for me, but be aware.

Location Staff Value for money

The staff was fantastic to us; they really were of great help to us. Location allowed us to get everywhere by foot. Balcony over church square provide entertainment and people watching. Good breakfast in AM and patio on square for relaxation in afternoon. And again, the staff was fantastic, we loved their attention to our needs.

The stairs, but that is part of the ambience of the place.

Tout était parfait. La charmante suite avec vue sur la ville. Le calme et la tranquilité de l'hotel. La literie était excellente, salle de bain très propre. Le patron fut de très bons conseils pour nous éviter de la fatigue et de payer trop cher en taxi lors de notre excursion (merveilleuse) aux Gorges de Samaria. On a envie d'y revenir c'est certain.

Vilelmine has an excellent location on the square with the beautiful Metropolitan Church. Wonderful view from the Balcony and close to everything in Chania. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. There's a lot of nice details that make the hotel special : flowers in the room, the nice wooden furniture, nice and cosy lights, ... Our stay was perfect. We'll definitely go back when we spend the weekend in Chania. Antonis, who manages the hotel with his sister, is a friendly and helpful man. Great people! When we booked the room, we couldn't go because of a family matter. Normally we would have lost our money because it was not refundable at all. Nevertheless Antonis gave us the chance to come a couple of weeks later. He even gave us an upgrade to a room with a balcony and view on the square. These people are not only in it for the money. They really care and want to give their customers a great experience. Top service !

Очень симпатичный отель с критской атмосферой. Просторный номер с хорошими кроватями и постельными принадлежностями. Вид из окна на оживленную улочку. Шум с улицы нисколько не мешает. Расположен в самом центре, очень близко к старому порту и крепости. Дружелюбная атмосфера.

Отсутствие завтрака, включенного в стоимость номера. Отсутствие полноценной кухни в отеле, из-за чего и не очень богатый выбор еды. Это объясняемо - отель расположен в старинном здании, места не так уж много. Проблема с едой решается очень просто - вокруг очень много кафе, баров, ресторанов.

Le batiment est traditionnel, renouvelé, les chambres sont confortables. Le personnel est charmant, acceuillant. L'hotel est très bien situé.

Le seul désavantage : trop proche au cathedral ! Les clochesses qui commencent à sonner dès le 7h.00 du matin sont insupportables.

Wat een parel in het centrum van de oude stad Chania. Wij hebben hier 200 procent genoten! Het hotelpersoneel verzorgde voor ons het lekkerste ontbijt ooit voor een klein bedrag en de persoonlijke aandacht was meer dan goed. En dan de kamer... wow! Balkon met uitzicht over het pleintje, rustig gelegen omdat er op het pleintje geen gemotoriseerd verkeer mag komen. In een straatje schuin tegenover het hotel, links van de kerk hebben we heerlijke lokale gerechten gehad. Het is ons goed bevallen om het toerisme te vermijden in deze oude stad. Leuke winkelstraatjes, maar ook rustige straten met oude huizen. In één woord: geweldig! En het ontbijt is een grote aanrader.

This is the second time I stayed in Vilelmine and my impressions were even greater than the first. Spacious, very clean rooms, great furniture, nice decoration, little balcony with an overview of the Cathedral square and very friendly and ready to offer assistance staff. With a 21-months old kid with us who slept in a clean baby-cot added in our room we were fully comfortable utilising various options (chairs, couch, boudoir) for our staff. Great location as well overlooking the Cathedral and providing access to the little narrow streets of the old city.

Everything was great and functional, this Hotel would be our preference also for a future visit! Note that there is no elevator but the staff were ready to transfer our luggage to our room without even asking.

Difficoltà di parcheggio. Colazione disponibile solo a partire da maggio.

Ottima posizione a pochi passi dal porto veneziano, nella piazza della chiesa. Camera spaziosa, sufficientemente pulita.

Parcheggio non disponibile, potrebbe essere un problema in alta stagione. Non sufficientemente insonorizzato, ascensore non disponibile e scala a chiocciola problematica per persone diversamente abili.

Excellent situation. Friendly and service willing staff. Clean rooms.

Poor madras and hard pillows. Would have liked to have mini kitchen in the room which I expected from an apartment.

Spacious suite with balcony overlooking cathedral square. Great powerful shower. Very comfortable traditional furnishings in keeping with period of building. Close to Venetian harbour, market and bus station. Lots of great eating places on doorstep.

We were on first floor so didn't affect us but as no lift might not have liked being on a higher floor although I'm sure the balcony views would be great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings and characterful furniture. The location is superb with our room overlooking the small cathedral square. The balconies were a beautiful and useful feature. The air-conditioning was very effective. The triple room we had for our 3 children was perfect as there were 2 singles in one room for the girls and one single in another for our boy - it was effectively a suite.

Although our bathroom was perfectly clean, the shower could perhaps do with a re-fit.
