Villa Contessa  

Everything... The owner goes out of his way for the visitors, the villa is new and very well kept, cleaning is excellent, the parking is free, gorgeous sights from the balcony towards the sea which is some 200 metres away, the villa is in a green and beautiful sparsely populated area, nice beach bar at the beach below the villa. The rooms are equipped with everything you need from fridge and microwave oven to kitchen utensils. The villa is not in a very active tourist area/though the beach and bar are quite good/ so you'd need a car or bike but if you prefer calm and quiet with beautiful sea sights and lush greenery you would be more than happy with your choice.

The free wifi is available only in front of the villa and not in the rooms. If you can handle that, the villa Contessa is highly recommended.

We are grateful for the warm welcome we received from Spiros and Frosso who did everything possible to make our stay a happy experience, from meeting our delayed plane to gifts of jam and fruit and replacing our fridge the same day we reported a problem. We thought our room was very pleasant with excellent views over the sea from the balcony. Our room was cleaned every day and was spotless. We appreciated the very peaceful setting of the villa yet within reach of a local store, good beaches, tavernas and a bus stop. The outside of the Villa also is kept beautifully. Other guests were very considerate.

There's nothing that was a major problem. We would mention that the road to the beach and the store and tavernas is quite steep so is not very suitable for the less mobile. Also, if it rains (which may not be very often in the summer months), the water splashes onto the balcony. As we stayed for two weeks and kept our own supplies of food we would have liked a bit more cupboard space for storage of this.

We came here on our honeymoon looking for a peaceful place to relax. Also we had been looking for the best beaches in Greece and Gerakas and Dafni, 15 mins drive from the hotel had caught our attention. We were not disappointed to say the least. The welcome was extremely friendly and the small attentions from Spiros and his wife throughout our stay were very kind. The house is surrounded by trees and offers a fantastic view of the sea. September is definitely the best season to travel to Greece and Villa Contessa is probably one of the best places to stay in Zakynthos for those looking for the peace of the island; yet close enough to visit Argassi and Zakynthos town for restaurants and bars.

Clean rooms, breathtaking views, excellent hospitality, close to the best beaches of the island, affordable luxury.

It's location is great; the environment and the view from the villa is beautiful and relaxing. The closest beach is less than 10 minutes walk from there. The studios are comfortable and neat, and every of them has nice terrace viewing to the sea. The host Spiros is very friendly and nice:) he made our stay pleasant.

Little inconvenience was that the credit card terminal was out of order, so we could pay only by cash.

Responsive and positive attitude to the guests. Pleasant surprises. Clean, spacious and comfortable room, which has everything you need. A small kitchen is also well equipped. Large balcony with wonderful sea views. Located away from noisy places, but there are close to tavernas and a supermarket. Convenient parking. The owner, Spiros, always in place and ready to assist you in any situation. Spiros has helped us to rent a car, shown on the map all the sights of Zakynthos, thanks to his advice we have seen, most interesting places of the island, and even saw the caretta-caretta!

Quite a steep descent to the beach. Due to the nature of the terrain, it is advisable to rent a vehicle.

Spiros (the owner) was very nice and helpful. Room was always clean (but the clean lady never disturbed us, always cleaned the room while we were away), it was also comfortable. It had a nice view to the sea. Restaurants, supermarket were close.

There are mosquito, you need to be prepared. First night was awful because of them, then we bought an electrical thing to keep them away. Than is was fine.

Perfect location on the most beautifull part of the island. Lovely view from our terrace. Nice room with a well equiped kitchen. Mr.Spiros is a very friendly host who will help you to make your holiday unforgetable, so you don't want to leave. If we ever come back to the island, Villa Contessa is our place to stay.Enjoy!

Everything! The owner is the warmest, most welcoming man and will do anything to help make your stay on the island wonderful. Extremely helpful and is always around to help with anything. I loved that Villa Contessa is a smaller, quieter hotel with only 8 rooms so has a great "away from it all" feel but restaurants, beach and town is close by. Beautiful view from every room. The rooms were just as nice as I had hoped.

Stunning location, very modern, new clean, spacious rooms, extremely nice and friendly host! I felt very welcome at all time. The rooms were always very clean, the view from the balcony stunning.

Spyros is a fantastic host. The room was large, and spotless clean and has a fantastic seaview. Excellent mattress and total silence during the night Spyros provided me with all the information I needed to visit the island. A wonderful stay!

Это небольшой, уютный и очень красивый отель с комфортными номерами и потрясающим панорамным видом на море с балкона каждого номера. Учитывая, что отель расположен на холме, прекрасный вид открывается из номеров и первого, и второго этажей. Номера оборудованы собственной кухней, есть вся необходимая посуда для желающих готовить самостоятельно. Очень комфортные кровати. Отель расположен в стороне от тусовочных мест и идеально подходит для тех, кто предпочитает просыпаться и засыпать в тишине, в красивейшем месте. Для того, чтобы увидеть остров, непременно нужен автомобиль, где бы вы ни жили. Было так замечательно начинать новый день, выходя на балкон и наблюдая за восходом солнца, а перед сном сидеть на балкончике, смотреть на звезды и вспоминать красоты острова, увиденные за день... Хозяин отеля Спирос - очень внимательный к своим гостям, общительный, тактичный человек. Он рассказал нам обо всех достопримечательностях острова и на карте отметил возможные маршруты и интересные объекты. Рядом с отелем есть несколько таверен и супермаркет. Пляж Каминья расположен в нескольких минутах ходьбы от отеля. Если мы когда-нибудь снова приедем на Закинф, непременно поселимся на этой вилле.

Les chambres sont très confortables, très propres, équipées de tous les outils de cuisine nécessaires. Les lits étaient plus confortables de ce que l’on aurait pu imaginer. Dormir était vraiment un plaisir. La vue depuis notre balcon était imprenable, que le bleu de la mer ! Le propriétaire est très accueillant. Dès qu’on est arrivé, après nous avoir montré notre chambre, il nous a préparé un café et nous a donné une carte sur laquelle il a noté tous les sites et les endroits intéressants de l’île. N’ayant que deux jours pour visiter, on a suivi ses recommandations et on a l’impression d’avoir profité au maximum de notre séjour sur l’île. Très bon hébergement, très bon emplacement, à proximité des tavernes et d’un petit marché ainsi que de la ville de Zakynthos.

The rooms are big enough and have everything you may need during your stay. The beds are really comfortable, so are the pillows. Every morning we had our coffee at our private balcony, watching the amazing view of the sea. Spiros and the rest of the staff are really friendly and they make you feel like home. We felt really "safe" to know that they were there for us. I think we will visit Villa Contessa again, soon!

Что не понравилось: 1. Изоляция у комнат очень слабая, поэтому слышно все и во всех комнатах. 2. Комнаты маленькие. 3. Наши соседи курили. "Вилла" устроена так, что дым затягивало в нашу комнату. 4. Чисто, но ремонт дешевый. 5. С 07:00 до 10:00 все соседи с детьми собирались на пляж, поэтому спать было не возможно. 6. На так называемой "кухне" у себя в номере мы вечером оставили в пакете булочку. Утром обнаружили, что на ней полк муравьев. Муравьи были везде. 7. В номерах интернета не было. Был только за общим столиком напротив входа. На столе, естественно, были муравьи. 8. Мы приехали вечером и к нам с расспросами подошел хозяин. Общаться с ним не хотелось, но пришлось. 9. За эти деньги - 70 евро - можно было найти намного более тихое и комфортное место. Наверное, если подумать список можно без труда продлить на 4-5 пунктов, но хватит и этих, чтобы найти что-нибудь более продуманное и отвечающее названию "вилла".

Очень довольны этим отелем. Спирос - гостеприимный и прекрасно говорящий по-английски хозяин. Все расскажет и порекомендует достопримечательности. Отель стоит на возвышенности, в каждом номере собственный просторный балкон со столиком, стульями и сушилкой. Потрясающий вид. Нет ничего лучше, чем завтракать на своем балконе с видом на раскинувшееся перед тобой сумасшедших цветов море. Или выпить вечером бокальчик вина. 7 минут прогулки вниз до пляжа с лежаками и парой баров, в которых можно и отобедать. Правда пляж не самый лучший на острове. Обратно по жаре подниматься в отель очень тяжело. Для полноценного отдыха в этом отеле (как впрочем на всем Закинтосе в принципе) обязательно нужно брать какой-нибудь транспорт - машину, скутер или мотоцикл. Выше от отеля в сторону дороги (3-5 минут) есть пара таверен. Та, которая Windmill, принадлежит племяннику Спироса - кормят там хорошо и обязательно приносят комплимент. Во второй не ели. В 2-х минутах от Таверны небольшой супермаркет. Отель отличный, рекомендую.

Sehr authentisch!!! Total netter Besitzer; toller Ausblick auf´s Meer. Sehr sauber. Eine perfekte Unterkunft für Griechenlandliebhaber abseits vom Massentourismus!
