Located in the unspoiled, northern part of Corfu, from the resort areas, this gorgeous, Italian-style Villa De Loulia has a peaceful atmosphere for a vacation close to nature. Dating back to 1803, the charming Villa De Loulia has been carefully restored to its original splendor. The lovely grounds are covered in trees, flowers and plants, which fill the air with the scent of Mediterranean flora. The rooms and suites are individually decorated in traditional style. Start your day with homemade breakfast and taste authentic Greek flavors prepared with fresh local ingredients. Then, enjoy your favorite cocktail while sunbathing at the Shangri-La pool bar. Finally, you can dine in luxurious setting at the Flerium gourmet restaurant. Private boutique spa treatments are available upon request. The beach is 1300 ft from the villa. You can also explore the beautiful landscape of the village and spot the obvious Venetian and French influences in Peroulades' cultural and architectural heritage. Hotel Rooms: 9

We loved the owner and her hotel and her cooking, in fact all facets of our stay were extremely enjoyable. Would recommend this place for a recluse from tourism madness. Nothing. All good.

This place looked fabulous on the internet and only seemed to have received positive reviews, which is amazing, so we went with high expectations. And whilst the historic property did look like we imagined, I couldn't help being disappointed by several things. Nobody mentions that being in the heart of the village on the edge of the main road, the property is actually quite noisy, and at night scooters and lorries can be heard whizzing past your head if you have the rooms that overhang the road. The room were hot and sticky

The hotel is a lovely old country house set in a beautiful garden of trees and herbs, whose rooms have been designed in a retro grandma style, very stylish and romantic. The pool is lovely and boasts some magnificent acrobatic displays from swallows/swifts swooping down on the water to take a quick splash and then fly off in the air again. The music accompanying your swim or relaxation by the pool, or your meal, is jazzy & soft; while the bird songs all around you add to the pleasure - all very relaxing. The food is fresh and delicious (we only tried breakfast) and made from local products. The owners are very friendly and a pleasure to get to know. All in all it is an excellent romantic, secluded, peaceful and relaxing environment for everyone who is fed up with large hotels, package holidays and crowds, and great for everyone who wants to try the real Corfiot hospitality. While the house may have been designed for family use, it doesn't work well for multiple occupation without insulation of ceilings or floors. This means that you will hear the noises from the occupants of the rooms above you, sometimes disturbing if late at night. It seems the owners have had to make some sacrifices in order to preserve the magnificent character of the building. Since the hotel is by the main village road the noise from the scooters speeding up and down the street can be unpleasant. Not having double (instead of twin) beds in double bedrooms is somewhat of a drawback, but then we found this to be quite common in other hotels we have stayed in on the island. Make sure to use the right credit/debit card when booking the hotel, as the hotel accepts no cash payments, except for small amounts, e.g. for drinks.
