The staff were friendly and helpful .
The room was very tired and basic .
1. big room 2. nice bathroom
1. there was no hot water 2. there was no heating inside the room 3. the bed was crackling
We loved our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Large rooms. Very confortable. Highly recommend this lovely hotel
We were here in the first half of October and the weather was beautiful. Stay exceeded our expectations. There was no music at the pool, only a few people. We very much enjoyed it. There is a few steps to the sea. The beach is narrow, but access to the water is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, big thanks to Anastasia! We lived in a bungalow with one bedroom, living room with kitchenette and bathroom. The bungalow is very spacious, with a covered terrace and a small private pool. I highly recommend it.
The street is quite busy and the bars are a bit noisy late into the night, but it did not bother us.
Staff were nice and helpful
Mouldy bathrooms Music heard from pool bar till midnight Room was not clean Quality of room not up to standard
- hospitality - warm atmpsphere - the busy swimming pool - excellent kithen
-lack of daily breakfast for 5 stars hotel
Quiet room option is a joke. Hotels next door looked much nicer.
Pool bar plays music that you can clearly hear in your room, with all doors & windows closed. Even when there are no customers at the bar at midnight! We left and went elsewhere.
We loved the private pool and the main pool. Cheap and quality food in the nearby restaurant
There is endless ants in the toilets. Please correct it as soon as possible.
Reception staff were fantastic. BNothing was too much trouble. Restaurant staff also excellent.
A bit noises at night due to restaurant music across the street.
Very comfortable suites, generally very good service.
Villa di Mare is an odd place. It is basically a beach and pool club, with a bar serving drinks and snacks. The club entry is free and visitors pay nothing as long as they don't consume. On the outside, it does not say anywhere that it is also a hotel. Thus, the establishment caters to 2 different market segments of visitors - a more mass market segment centered around the pool and a more upscale segment of hotel guests. This is a very strange business model. It creates also a potential security risk for the hotel guests.
Clean, nice staff, great pool, comfortable. Basic kitchen in room is essential (see over).
Not necessarily a criticism, more a comment. The doors open at 9 to welcome a huge influx of bikinis to sit by the pool listening to louder and louder Beyoncee. By noon, and then again by 8pm, you're basically in a trendoid bar/club with throbbing music, rather than a hotel. Restaurant caters accordingly, so absurdly expensive for breakfast or feeding children.
Fantastic hotel with a real sense of calm, right on the beach and in the doorstep of restaurants although the restaurant at villa di mare is the best! Cocktails to die for and service is excellent- nothing is too much trouble. We visited the island of kos one day and night to see some friends and the staff called us to see if we were ok as we hadn't come back that night and they were worried- lovely touch. We stayed in an apartment with its own pool- bliss! Rooms were huge and extremely clean, beds and towels changed every day (or more frequently if required). The cleaning girls even washed up for us every day! Definately would recommend this hotel. Really close to the old town of Rhodes (€10 in a taxi) lovely cobbled streets with lots of shops and restaurants. No chavvy lager louts- very cosmopolitan!
No complaints only wifi can be a bit hit and miss
Very clean - fresh towels and bed linen every day. Great staff. Good location for local bars and restaurants. Plenty of sun beds and most guests didn't come out until after 11am so no need to get up early to reserve a sun bed. Well equipped kitchen and good sized apartments.
Music from the pool bar in the evening went on til 3am - there was no getting away from it. We asked to move to a quieter room but we're told we already had one of the quietest rooms in the hotel. Wi-fi connection was not very good. Could only get a decent connection around the pool area. Right by the sea, but no direct access to a beach.
Beautiful views over the sea and pool from our apartment, gorgeous sunset. Fabulous staff, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Room kept very clean and tidy every day. We really enjoyed the music by the pool, but guess not everybody would! Food very high standard. Service overall excellent. Had a great time - thank you!
Very busy road to cross. Poor wi-fi. Gym equipment out of order.
Nice pool, good restaurant, spacious rooms & friendly staff
Noise from the hotel's bar at night & touristic location of the hotel. The bathroom of our room needed updating. I am sure we will visit Rhodes again as it is an amazing island but we wouldn't choose to stay in Ixia/Ialysos again as they are far away from the nice beaches and very touristic.
We higly recommend this place if you like to stay a few kilometers outside Rhodos city near the beach. The welcoming atmosphere, service and staff in the poolarea is outstanding. We booked the family suite for two nights and after that we were lucky to get our own bungalo for five nights. Great :-) Thanks a lot for a fantastic week. Hanna, Clara and parents from Sweden.
Pool bar and food was great. Music and general ambiance was really good too, as were the staff who were very helpful.
Villa Di Mare was a very relaxing. Loved relaxing by the pool and bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. I fully enjoyed my time in Rhodes!
Wifi didn't work in our rooms it only worked close to the pool area which was a bit of a hassle when trying to contact family back home using wifi.
'Last minute' booking and never regretted it. A hotel in a great location and with brilliant facilities. However, the service from the staff, especially reception stood out more than anything else, who helped us throughout our whole stay and would go beyond to accommodate our needs. Excellent and would definitely stay here again.
In need to upgrade Wifi within the hotel and the drainage from the shower may need maintenance, as water was not flowing fast enough.
The mix up with the room of the first night. Shouldnt happen. Had to be moved to a different hotel for 1 night
Location Friendly staff Facilities
Not clean enough for 5 stars Terrible wifi capacity Suite with pool view is not as described Dirty terrace
Great Location, wonderful welcome and the villa we stayed in with private pool was quiet large with a bottle of their wine on arrival.
The kitchen was not supplied with any utencils to cook with.
The Australian night manager was great, he helped us settle in, arranged car parking in the front and then helped us when we left. We chose the Villa Di Mare as it was a short distance from the airport and as we had a late arrival, we did not want to make the effort to travel into Rhodes Old Town. In this respect, it worked.
As an overnight transit place, Villa Di Mare works, but then it has to be mentioned that the formula of having a large pool, large bar and day users of the pool off a main tourist street may only appeal to certain people. Sure the small private swimming pools off each suite help, but the beach is not private and is a small strip of stones in front of a public walkway, the bar at night is active, loud and goes late. We ate breakfast elsewhere due to the very slow service and cost. The town is not attractive but again, it may be fine for other tourists.
Great staff and pristine cleanliness of property and facilities. Air con really efficient on those hot days. Easy access to Rhodes town and excellent on site restaurant.
Crossing the road adjacent to the property can be a challenge at busy time.
