Villa Evgenia Hotel  

Having been looking at getting married in Santorini we understandably wanted to go and have a look what the island was like before paying any deposits etc. What an absolute bonus that the hotel that we stayed at Villa Evgenia was the most helpful, friendly and beautiful place we could have stayed. George, Vasilis and family could not do enough for us and were happy to help us no matter what it was. The atmosphere is so relaxed you immediately feel relaxed with them We have been so impressed we are already planning to go back to Santorini in October. And we most definitely plan to stay at Villa Evgenia. Santorini really surprised us with being so beautiful and everyone being so friendly. Thank you for making our holiday so special.

George and Bill were extremely accommodating and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Bill picked us up at the ferry even though we didn't get in until 1am, and he provided us with information about the island on the drive back. Both George and Bill gave us recommendations of where to eat and what to do during the day, as well as arranged ATVs and day boat excursions. As a group of young travelers, the hotel was excellent - however, it would be perfect for any type of traveller.

Excellent service from staff, friendly, accomodating, almost like staying at a home away from home. Highly recommended.

The owner, George, is friendly, helpful. On arrival, he immediately give us a quick instruction about what to see, where to visit. Breakfast for additional 5 euros is also recommended.

The location was excellent. George and his family are very hospitable people making you want to go there again and again. The breakfast spread was just perfect for us. The views both from the room and the breakfast area were outstanding. Local excursions could be booked with George which was very convenient. Once we checked in we were given a map of the area and everything was explained to us properly. The recommendations that George gave us were spot on whether it was to do with sight seeing or eating out etc. The rooms were very spacious,clean,nice balcony area with a clothes rack which was very convenient. We got fresh towels everyday. All in all it was a very relaxed atmosphere and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Santorini.

We came to Santorini for the famous blue and white scenery. The decoration and the outlook of this hotel totally fits the theme! I came with a female friend and upon checking into the hotel and settling down in our room, the whole ambience the hotel has created made us even more excited about beginning our adventure in Santorini! The hotel was great! We spent 2 nights in Evgenia. The hotel staff in the reception were great in helping us to settle down, providing us with sightseeing details and directions, helping us to arrange for car rental to get around the island and recommending us places for good local food too! Kudos to the great team! They took really good care of us, constantly checking on our welfare if we were alright even when we were out of the hotel exploring other parts of Santorini!! This move touches us- it shows that they care! After our first night there, our room was super untidy and messy because we put our things all over the room and unkempt. When we came back to our room on the second night, our room was spick and span with all our things neatly arranged! We felt embarrassed at having the housekeeping team to clean up our very messy room and yet very impressed with how well the cleaning was done! :) Back to the hotel room, our room was decorated in blue and white, and this made us (the first time travelers to Santorini) all excited about the place despite being tired after arriving at the hotel after a long ferry ride. We had a great balcony overlooking the swimming pool and sunrise over the horizon! I believe a great hotel ambience on first impression is crucial especially for holiday makers, it marks the beginning of an enjoyable holiday. And Villa Evgenia did a good job on it for us!

Love the staffs, especially the owner who's willing to drive me to the bus station in Fira when I requested for it! Great continental breakfast and nice room view with affordable price. Speedy internet connection too!

There were flies in the toilet when I checked in but it didn't bother me much as they went off after sometime.

Everything - fantastic location giving excellent sunrise views of sea and rear view of Thira. 10 minute easy walk to heart of Thira to eat, shop and watch the sun set. Great staff who were very friendly, efficient and extremely helpful with any issues. Very clean room as well as all facilities offered (pool, bar, deck etc).

This was the best place we have stayed at so far mainly because of the management (George). He picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the port which made things so much easier. Went out of his way to help us out. Showed us many things to do in Santorini. The view we got was amazing of the ocean and we had a big balcony. Only a 5 minute walk from the town. The pool was great and had a self service bar which was great. Really made our 7 night stay in Santorini the best we have had. Thanks George!!!

Location - easy walk to the main area but far enough away to be quite and peaceful. I'm not much of a beach person so having the pool was a must have and theirs was very nice. I wish I would have planned a longer trip - which means, I will be back! I can't thank George and his family enough for making our trip so memorable. Make sure you also eat at Aegialos Beach for the best food in Fira! George will make sure you get there.

An excellent family run hotel. George and his staff made sure our stay with them while visiting the beautiful island of Santorini was a terrific experience. Nice comfortable and clean room. A little private terrace outside overlooking the pool. Lovely breakfast area with a lovely view taken care of by a wonderful staff. Pick up and drop off to the port, advice on what to see and do on the island and help arranging a quad rental which was delivered right to our door. (I recommend renting vehicle to get to explore all that the island has to offer) All in all a lovely place to stay. Much thanks to everyone for a fantastic experience. Sean an Heather

Found this little gem and loved our stay! George the host was great and sooo helpful. He picked us up from the airport and on the way to the place pointed out lots of useful landmarks, directions etc. Gave some great reccomendations for drinking & eating and even dropped us off and picked us up from his family's restaurant on the beach! Food was delux and mainly locals!! Pool area was great too and never overcrowded! Overall would stay again and great value for money. Oh and George even dropped us off at the port at the end our stay at 1am!!!!

I loved the clean, fresh feel of Villa Evgenia, and the hospitality and personal service provided by George Katsipis and his family was great! George gave me information about exactly how to best use my limited time in Santorini. I was able to purchase my boat ticket for the caldera tour at the hotel, saving a long wait at the docks. Truly felt that George wanted me to have a fabulous time on the island. Villa Evgenia is immaculately clean, everything in the hotel seemed brand new. Conveninent hotel transfers to/from airport. I even had my own private balcony, with a rack for drying clothes. Bed was too firm for my taste, but that was my experience everywhere I stayed on the Greek islands, not only on Santorini. I really enjoyed getting to visit with George about his experience as a business owner in Greece. Great price on a great family-owned hotel. I'd definitely stay again, and will recommend to my friends and family. Thanks, George!

George was a great host and made us feel extremely welcome. Even drove us to the airport. Lovely rooms and a beautiful pool. Would highly recommend

George, the owner makes a lot of efforts to make your stay comfortable. The small but nice swimming pool, self service bar at reasonable rates are other assets. Towels for pools will be provided. Villa evgenia is a little walk from fira center but no problem. Even not with 30+ degrees and with my son of 6. a nice 10 min before or after dinner. Some rooms are nicer, newer than others and have a nicer balcony. The rooms are not luxurious, but the new rooms are decorated with taste The shower works well and you can stand under it. Don't count on wifi Internet connection in the room(status mid July). But maybe that will be improved Reception at the pool is reasonable. As said George is very helpfully and a good source of information on anything that can make your stay at santorini enjoyable.
