A very friendly old couple is running here. Although they dont know english, their children and grandson knows it. Also the rooms are good for that price
The view of the rooms are looking at the back side of the island.
Value for money good, and the old couples are really friendly and helpful!
Friendly family run business, price, value for money.
The blanket did not have a cover which did not seem very clean.
our room was spotlessly clean, the location was great, just minutes walking to the caldera. Best of all were our hosts, all 3 generations of the family. Their suggestions for dining and beaches were spot on and their hospitality makes me want to be adopted by them.
The room is quiet with balcony door closed. The elderly owner is friendly. Walkable to Fira and Firostephani.
WiFi hotspot is literally a spot. Only one position outside reception door able to get connected. 1 metre away from that spot WiFi will be disconnected.
I love the owner.. they were old couple. so friendly and nice people. it takes about 10minutes to downtown but at night it's a bit scary to walk alone. so i had to come back earlier. the room was clean but shower was quite small.
Wifi is not working in the room
Beds ok, everyday cleaning, nice family owners
Traffic outside can be disturbing
i liked friendliness of Stella and her family the location was not too far from the centreit's a fairly quiet room
i didn't like the mattresses they were too stiff and i received a sore back the next morning me sheets are a little worn out
Location is not bad, it would be better with other owners or other management. They picked us to the airport.
Owners act like being nice but we were surprised about the fact of changing towels! Every 2 days a set of towels! Their nephew, not experimented, 14th of age, is doing the cleaning works. Dust is everywhere! Floor in bathroom gets full of water after each shower which is very tight.
walkable (uphill) to town but (see what we didn't like). they provided airport pickup. the owner spoke english fine. the elder gentleman (father of owner) was helpful and nice, despite the language barrier. get a view (see more info below) of the Agean Sea (not the caldera).
the hotel is on a busy road and as trucks and mopeds go by, it's VERY noisy. no soap or shampoo provided. also, since it's an uphill walk (both ways, seriously), to town, you have to be pretty motivated to go back to the hotel in the middle of the day. view was partially obstructed by the house across the street. if we were on the top level, it would probably be better.
The older couple and young boy (George) who attended to us throughout our stay were friendly and tried to be helpful.
The staff asked for my passport at check-in and never returned it. I forgot to ask for it back as well, and as I was sitting on the bus to the port, I remembered that they still had my passport. I called George's father (who speaks English, unlike the older couple) and asked if someone could bring my passport to the bus station for me. He said he would send his wife. But the bus was very crowded (the aisle was full of people standing) and before I could get off the bus, it left the station. I called the father back, explained my predicament, apologized, and asked if they could bring it to the port instead. At that point he became extremely rude, saying NO, they would not do anything else. They would take my passport to the bus station and if I was not there, too bad. I pleaded with him, as I couldn't leave the country without my passport and my ferry was going to leave soon. He continued to be rude and unhelpful, and kept saying NO, instead of helping me think of other ways to get my passport back. He even said that If I was not at the bus station to get my passport, he would leave it with the police. What would the police do with my passport??? I was the one who really needed it, and it was his staff who forgot to give it back to me after check in. This complete lack of customer service and even just common courtesy, completely soured my experience at Villa Stella. I ended up getting my passport back because of a very nice bus driver, but it did not change the fact that the hotel owner was rude and would not make the effort to help me when I needed it most. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. Also, the advertised free WiFi did not work for us.
Helpful and friendly staff. Air conditioner worked well and ran fairly quietly. Owner provided free transfer to and from airport.
Single bed mattress was springy. Extra padding added to improve its comfort level.
Location, Staff, cleanliness
Very friendly hosts, our room had good views to the sea. The villa had lovely outdoor areas, everything was very well maintained a and clean.
Loved staying here. The room was gorgeous and comfortable and the people are so nice. It is a family business.
We liked everything. The family is really nice and helped us a lot. The room was lovely, and had a beautiful view. We definitely recommend this, a very good deal price/quality
Just a minor fact: The place is not in the center, it's 10 minutes walking and the streets have no name. When the first night we tried to return to the house we got lost, because it's difficult (and without light, more) So, a recommendation: if you have a cell phone record the walk from Villa Stella to the center, and then you won't have any trouble! :)
The staff waited for us until 04:00 am since we arrived by ferry very late. They kept our luggage during the day. Quiet place.
The room was not clean, hairs in the floor in both the room and the bathroom. The staff was not in the desk during the morning and it was no easy to arrange somethings with them, just by phone, was not confortable at all.
We have a good time in villa Stella, but as the google map directions is incorrect we get loss when we find the hotel, but after we called. They come to pick us up right away and tell us lots of information when we arrived.
the family is very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and little George is wonderful!! Thank you, have a nice Summer!!!
Very good value for money. Wonderful family was very welcomed. Picked up from the bus station and dropped back there very effortless, thank you! Nice view from our balcony over to the other side of the Island. Basic room but everything you need. 10 min walk from centre.
A bit difficult to find. Arrange free pick up.
Close enough walk to main center
Very kind, willing to help owners walking distance to city center Very clean, change the towels every 2nd day
Next to the road, has some noise in the morning
It's really a very nice location, very close to the city centre, to spend your vacation on Santorini, great people, very nice room with everything you need. The host even brought us from the bus station to the hotel. Great view from the balcony.
Proximity to road.
Very kind staff, and a nice location.
