Perched at the top of the Caldera in Santorini Island, Kavalari Hotel enjoys panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the old port.
Score from 307 reviews Very good
Family-run Sofi Rooms is a whitewashed, Cycladic building, in central Fira, right on Santorini’s caldera. It offers traditional rooms with a balcony overlooking the volcano and the Aegean Sea.
Score from 82 reviews Very good
Just 85 yards from Fira Town, the Cycladic-style Villa Roussa offers an outdoor hot tub and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. It is conveniently located overlooking the Orthodox Church of Ipapanti.

Score from 347 reviews Very good
Christina the receptionist was very hospitable and welcoming. Gave us all the nescessary information needed to travel around Santorini.
Did not realise that the family room was not fully equipped and expected much more. Breakfast was very basic
5 to 10 minutes walk to everything you need. Kindness of receptionist Cristina, she is there to make your life easy! Breakfast next to the pool with sea views: what else?
the lights in the room are like disco/white. Balconies are one facing the other and walls are thin, privacy is somewhat deranged by this.
The view from the hotel is superb! The owner manager is accomodating it very helpful..Overall our stay was excellent!!
The shower area is slightly leaking.. There is no kettle provided in the rooms..
christina the host was very kind. heater was good. clean and calm.
It's little far from main street for me by walking. The rent car which recommended hotel was very very expensive !! The wifi of room number 106 I stayed was poor, poor, poor... I absolutely couldn't use wifi !
Considering the island the location is good.
First of all, the hotel is not a four stars hotel. * All the standards rooms are located outside the main entrance/building, in a separate area and in a separate building. * the bathroom was very small, especially the shower *the beds were bad. *the breakfast was served only at the pool area. There`s no other option. There aren't no comfort at all in the rooms.
The location is good
The staff was not friendly. The rooms need some update. You don't have a place to put your luggage. When you bath, the water goes to all the bathroom.
This place is really good value. We like the breakfast by the pool. It's peaceful. staff are nice; good communication
i think during high season it'll be ideal to be away from the crowds so Rena's suites would be a good choice. But for low season I think I would prefer to be a little closer to the caldera/cliff instead of being a 10+min walk away. The towels are also very stiff. The room we got looked nothing like the pictures from this website but we weren't expecting much since it was very cheap
Fantastic spot to sit back and relax. Perfect spot to stay and good breakfast included every morning. The staff is more than friendly and accommodating. Great shuttle service to and from the port or airport
Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble and very informative on local attractions. Pick up from airport a bonus and very efficient. Room very clean, modern and tastefully decorated comfortable bed. Nice pool. A reasonable buffet breakfast included.
No drawer space for clothes in room. No bright light available ie in bathroom for makeup or shaving etc. bathroom adequate if a little small. Constant music played at pool sometimes a little loud and annoying when trying to relax.
The room is clean.
The breakfast and the Hotel check out only served after 8am.
Nice pool and deck.
I booked the "standard" room. This room was not on the property. It was down the road. My room had a high window overlooking a patio floor and faced a noisy road. I paid 50%penalty for remaining two nights to get out. Found a great room with caldera view for only a few more Euros.
A small contained resort without any bustling activities unlike big hotels. It was a wonderful stay beside the pool with a beautiful view of the mountain and an excellent scenery facing the pool; the staffs were excellent and courteous; and a special thanks to the Operations Manager Ms' Christiana, who guided us very well to cover the places of interest in Santorini from the day we landed and during our 3 night stay. My special appreciation to Christiana for being friendly and courteous with my family and all other guests; a young lady who has set her foot in this industry has many miles to go and to earn appreciation for her services; she is an asset to this industry and my wishes stay with her. My family felt like being at home during the stay. The suite given to our family (3 members) was spacious and good with 2 rooms and with a private balcony. Rena's Suite is good for family and it is safe to stay.
May be the 10 to 15 minutes walk to City Centre and Bus station from the resort; but should not be a problem as we are prone to walk up and down throughout Santorini in many inclined positions to explore the island.
Very nice accommodations
If you're going to Santorini. The Caldera side, that is the cliff side that you see in all the pictures. Is where you should stay. Otherwise you miss basically miss the point of staying in Santorini.
Stayed at Rena's for two nights. Christina is a very welcoming and friendly host. The hotel has a lovely big pool with lots of reclining chairs. Breakfast is served each morning around the pool - the spread is a great mix of Western and Greek cuisine. Location is good - shirt walk to Fira.
The rooms we stayed in were a bit separate to the rest of the hotel and were very old and lacked natural light. Next time I would pY more and stay in a better room as the rooms on the website look more modern. Wifi was also not very reliable.
Eleni, the owner, is so wonderful. Such a genuine and welcoming person. Rooms were very very clean. Breakfast was fantastic - it felt like I was sitting in my mum's kitchen and she was serving me breakfast! Thanks Eleni, we will be back!
Wifi was sometimes hard to connect, but get off your phone people and enjoy the island!!!
You only meet quality people once in a while, CHRISTINE, made us feel so welcome , she gave us fantastic advise on where to go, &what to do on Santorini .She advised us to visit MILOS ,arranged our accomadation ,a taxi to pick us up when we got there. No stress. I was sitting by the pool, watching how she interacts with all her guests, she loves everybody. We stayed at many hotels on this trip, this was clearly the best
Having to leave
The location only, it was near Fira center and you can go there on foot only 5 min walking
The manager was very annoying, she told us if we take the pool towels at the beach, we will have a fee 10€ each, so we bought towels only for 2 days in the beach. Breakfast was poor, and was served on the pool area( no restaurand or somewhere appropriate to sit. Immagine full heat in the summer time or windy weather sometimes. Very small rooms, only one person can be able to stay in there Not very clean
Great location if you are looking to stay close to Fira. Great breakfast. Big, clean room. Awesome, helpful staff.
Spotty wifi in the room. Airport transfers are free, but they are unavailable if you take an early flight from Athens. We didn't learn about this until the day prior to our arrival. Limited hours for reception, so no bag drop when you arrive early.
very friendly staff who were very accommodating with transferring us to the airport as well as collecting us from the ferry. pool area was lovely.
very noisy room and outlook very poor. fridge leaked. air conditioning didn't work. shower attachment broken and shower curtain 5 inches short so entire bathroom soaked. breakfast choices very limited.
Perfect location and staff of Rena's made this stop on my holiday through Greece the best.
Rena suites is located on the other side of Thira town, facing away from the main view of Santorini. It is a fairly easy 5-10min walk to the centre of Thira, it's shops, restaurants and views of the Caldera/ sunsets. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is lovely and the staff are attentive and friendly. Great base to explore Santorini.
Location was close to Fira town centre
Breakfast was very limited. The AC did not work well in the room making it uncomfortable to sleep. Would not consider it as value for money.
Perfect in every way! Christina and staff extremely helpful.
Best staff ever!
The entire stay was great. The room, the staff, the breakky! Great value for money esp considering we were on a budget. Would recommend to anyone!
