The location was great. The room was very homely and cozy. We liked the fact that there is a small kitchen where you can cook your own food bought from the local supermarket.
Comfortable main bed although my daughter's 'bed' which was a strange couch was rock hard (but she liked it)! Easy to walk to the main street, clean, traditional cave, safe, cute! The lady at reception in the Best Western (sorry can't remember her name) was really kind and helpful, totally going out of her way to help me when I discovered the fast ferries had shut down for the winter and was faced with a 13 hour boat ride in heaving seas to get to Athens! (Got on the plane, thank goodness) thank you! Also the porters are incredible - amazing how strong they are getting massive amounts of luggage up and down 100s of stairs.
Really bad pressure, if any, on shower but that's ok - it's Oia, Santorini and that's part of life there. I would have liked to be told to not put used toilet paper in the toilet but had no idea this is what must happen in Greece as there was no notice about it. I would have much preferred to not have a view of the sunset (which is for what, half an hour in the day?) and have the amazing fantastic view of Caldera. This was the most disappointing thing for me.
best honeymoon memory you can leave to you lover, everything was perfect, we like it at all anyway!
no wifi in the room only available at the balcony
Very clean room with a functional kitchen. Nice location and beautiful view for this price. highly recommend.
the location is good for sunset view.
the location is good for seeing sunset.clean enough.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Location was excellent, view of the sunset was amazing. Rooms were also kept very clean.
Our air conditioning did not work and the staff tried their best to fix it but could not. We were upgraded to a better room for our last of 5 nights, but the a/c didn't work in this room either. Wifi does not work in rooms - have to be outside to access. Office is not on site, no telephones in room, no access to pool on site.
The location and view are great! Maid & Porter were very helpful.
We were traveling with another couple with a small child, they had a problem with the AC and it did not get fixed for 4 days. No phone in rooms to contact front desk, which was a fair walk away.
Absolutely brilliant location. A fantastic suite - clean & very comfortable & reasonably priced. The staff were also very helpful carrying the bags
the location is terrific. It is the best location in santorini. It is the place where everybody goes to look at the sunset.
the value for money. So you pay as a top 5 star hotel room and then you have a small room without nothing else apart of the sunset view. Even a bottle of water at your arrival is not in the fridge. That's crazy for 250eur per night room. No facilities at all apart of your room and forget about Air conditioning - it doesn't work properly.
Awesome suite, right on the cliff and perfect spot to watch the sunset. Very clean and good facilities.
Alot of stairs to get to it, I read the other reviews and thought people might be being a bit drastic but they weren't kidding. Once your there it's lovely though
The view of the sunset was amazing, the rooms are located on the middle of Oia town that is one of the most beautiful spots in Greece
The A/C didn't work, the WiFi didn't work, and the directions to the room were not clear at all got lost several times trying to get into the rooms
Fantastic cave villa with stunning views over the caldera. Air conditioning a boon for this whoosie solo traveller, although it was the middle of August.....
Not really a bother for ME, but my unsuspecting mid-sixties neighbours, found the thirty or so steep stairs down to their villa, were more trouble than they could cope with......
The view is just exceptional and overcome the deficiencies of service level.
Limited comfort, no cupboard, all clothes to be kept outside or in the suitcases, and limited service : no room service, no shampoo, and difficulty to get help to bring the suitcases in the narrow, pedestrian, streets of Santorin
We had a "superior cave studio". It was perfect. Beautiful and romantic room with a wonderful bathroom/shower. The view from our private terrace was incredible. Other tourists often stopped in front of our terrace to take a photo of the incredible view. Basic kitchen facilities made it possible to cook a romantic dinner for two to eat by candlelight under the stars on our terrace. We had a better view from our room than any restaurant could provide! Loved the privacy of the studio!
There was particularly in the mid morning and early evening quite a bit of foot traffic past our terrace, as guests of other hotels walked to and from their rooms. But not too bad at all, very quiet compared to the rest of the town. Also, though some people have complained about the steep steps, it should be noted that Oia is a town built on a cliffside, and that the steps are everywhere in the town, not just this hotel!
The view, sunset, jaqusi, relaxing & peaceful location. Even an assistant to carry my bags! Bravo VIP Suites, well done for your service.
Porters and drivers
First of all, it was a great start. However, then when we finally arrived at the suite, my parents were totally angry with the steps. It's okay for young people but for people who's nearly 70, it's hard. We asked for another room, got told its impossible to change on the first day. Told us to come back tomorrow night, we went back and was told its impossible. Then we went back to suite, then around 23:30, power cut... It's weird because another suite still has lights but ours and the other suite were totally blacked out. We found housekeeping put candles in our room, we don't know if it's coincidence or it's planned. The candles don't lit up as the middle part of all candles were not there! We called and asked and was told it's the public problem, not the hotel's problem. (The point is why only a few rooms lights were cut, not all) and the weather is perfectly fine there is no reason for power cut. The lady then asked 'u had candles in the room right? Then there's no problem.' Why do I pay for a room to use candles?? And the hotel must have cut the power itself therefore they gave the candle while we went out. We had no water and the fridge started to melt and we could hear the water dropping sound for the whole night. We could not even PAck our luggage! Power came back at around 8:30 and had another power cut at 8:32... We called and got a funny answer, "did u make sure all switch are on?' We are not stupid. And were told the electricity said called and said the lights were back on! We feel very upset about this stay and would not recommend others to come to this hotel!!!because 99% it happened on purpose! Overall, we cannot shower, we cannot pack our luggage, we cannot use wifi, we cannot boil hot water, we cannot charge our phone&camera, etc the suite is the lamest hotel we have ever stayed in! The hotel itself, it seems like once you get into your room, no one cares about u anymore.
The View is amazing
I don't recommend families with children under 12 since there is no room service in the hotel.
Location was excellent. Rooms were beautiful and spacious.
Help desk was a mile away from the suite. Phone service was not working.
Location is excellent, character of accommodation likewise. Luggage porters essential (for suitcases) and provided an excellent service. Spacious bathroom, tranquil setting.
Air conditioning failed and wasn't fixed despite it being reported. No CD/DVD player as advertised, no DVD library, kitchenette v basic. Shower suffered v low pressure, making use a challenge on and off. Nothing terrible, but certainly not luxury.
Location was literally the best - no one in front of us, just the hillside falling down to the caldera. Balcony with stunning view, away from the tourist hoards, quiet, private. 'Kitchen' enough to make Greek salads and delicious fruit, yoghurt and honey breakfasts to eat while we admired our view. Very obliging, cheerful staff. Couldn't recommend more highly.
I took the superior suite with my wife and baby girl. The location was perfect. You can see the sunset from the room. Staff was helpful. Very private place. Although i mentioned a couple of things that i did not like my overall experience is great.
No telephone in the room in case you need room service or questions. Low water pressure in the suite. To many stairs to the room and the stairs are steep.
View was amazing
Says toiletries so didnt take shampoo etc. They mean soap on tap THATS IT! Didnt expect to walk down a cliff to get to my room! No tea or coffee.........bed was like sleeping on concrete.....very very overpriced!
