Volcano View Hotel  

останавливались в Cliff Studios. прекрасный вид, фантастический без преувеличения. даже идти никуда не хотелось, а хотелось сидеть на балконе и созерцать :) действительно, видно закат прямо с балкона (во многих отелях не видно, хотя и рекламируют). хороший сервис, чисто, не шумно. очень приличный ресторан, правда недешевый, но и не запредельно дорогой. 3 бассейна, один достаточно длинный, чтобы плавать (около 15 м), 2 других поменьше, но с потрясающим видом на кальдеру. очень рекомендую этот отель. однозначно да для романтических парочек, любителей спокойного отдыха и т.д.

как и большинство отелей с видом на кальдеру - размещен на скалах, т.е. чтобы попасть куда-либо на территории отеля, придется преодолеть множество лестниц. однозначно нет для отыха с маленькими детьми и пожилыми людьми - лестниц, действительно, много, и длинных. но в принципе, если внимательно читать описание, это ясно заранее, так что это не недостаток, а скорее просто особенность. реальный маленький недостаток: до фиры пешком далеко, есть бесплатный шаттл (микроавтобус), но ходит не очень часто (по-моему раз в полтора часа), а с такси в высокий сезон на санторини всегда проблемы.

Great view from the pool and excellent location.

Our room was on the other side off the street with a very poor view. The room was very basic and old fashioned nothing was charming.There was dust in the room,not ok for someone with allergy.The bed was not comfotable.(matras very hard)The staff is very rude(girl at reception eating gum with her mouth wide open...) The staff is not proffesional nor smiling/friendly. It seems like they had to take a pay cut off 20% due to the Greek financial crisis.

The booking sight did not let us add in the proper number of guests- 4 people on a four person room and when we arrived they said there was additional charge for the extra people the booking sight needs to correct the ability to add the right number of people for the room so true price can be reflected

We enjoyed the view of the Volcano. The hoel was very central but still quiet and peaceful. Our room was cleaned daily and the driver of the shuttle was always very helpful and kind.

The hotel manager was the nicest; the hotel was the best in Santorini.

It was such a fabulous trip in Santorini and staying in Volcano view was such a great experience for me! The manager, Nick, looked after me and my friends very well. I love his service, it was fabulous! If you are thinking about booking this hotel please do so. I stayed in Volcano View, Villa where I have my private swimming pool and there is a spa tub in the bath room, omg I want to go back there now! (Advice to book your hotel before or after summer, the price will be lower and there will be less crowd there!)

View, view, view, that's 95% what you're paying for. Bed was very comfortable. Pools were nice/beautiful. Very picturesque setting with wonderful photo opportunities and beautiful sunsets. Breakfast buffet was nice.

The rooms are basic. We were in what they called a Jr. Suite which included a mini kitchenette. Size wise it was ample with a separate br, lr and bath but the room offered little else. Furnishings were basic and no aesthetic appeal. No amenities offered in the room - no slippers, no bath robes, no hair conditioner (shampoo only), no other toiletries. Due to luggage weight limits I count on those things being offered in the hotel room. And for the price I would have expected them. Pool towels were only offered at reception, not pool side. Staff met the basic requirements but did not go out of their way. Of course there were some friendlier than others (one resto guy was very friendly) but the receptionists in general were not interested in truly assisting at all and found them almost rude at points.

very unhelpful staff...booked us on a tour in which on the return trip to the hotel , the tour copany did not pick us up. we went back on our own. complained to the hotel..they were not bothered...very indifferent service..

Amazing view on the caldeira. They organize excursions from the hotel for a fair price. Free shuttle from the hotel to thira. The bathroom of the double studio. Vue splendide sur la caldeira. So expensive. Staff not especially pleasant. The restaurant food, however the view is amazing. Si cher. Personnel pas spécialement sympathique. Le restaurant : vous mangerez mieux ailleurs, mais vue magnifique.

Views sensational. Great pools with cocktail bar facility making stay very relaxing. Hotel has a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Variety of different room types...best on cliffside below the restaurant which are more peaceful and have individual balconies. Hotel provides a shuttle service into the main town of Thira, as well as port transfers.

First room at street level was very noisy and quite dated ......requested to be moved....second room on cliff face was great. Hotel shuttle service into town (3.5 kms away) infrequent ...runs every 3 hrs. Laundry costs expensive. Although hotel tries to present itself at a high standard, I would question the value for money.

Excellent stay, amazing views and location. The room had a mildew smell which should be addressed, and the front desk staff were rude at times, but otherwise it was amazing. The staff at the restaurant and pool were spectacularly nice.
