The room was most comfortable, good size and very clean. Staff were most helpful. All our requests were satisfied. Only 2 things. As we were on the top floor we would make people aware of the lack of handrail on the stairs, which could be difficult for someone with balance problems. Also there was a lot of noise from the downstairs bar which would certainly affect the lower rooms(music until 3am).

Location; 1/2 block off the port, 2 blocks from the market, less than 10 from the bus station. Staff; very nice and helpful. The room is big with 2 large windows for fresh air, tiled floors, nice bed. Wifi can be spotty, but they'll let you use 1 of their computers in the lobby. There is a septic smell I believe due to the Cretan plumbing, nothing horrendous as you'll get used to it.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very tastefully furnished, the bed was extremely comfortable, and there was even a small kitchen to make breakfast. It was also right in the center of town.

Great room, bed has bedposts, & kitchenette. 1 km to free parking and close to harbour All doors are slammed shut due to stiff locks eckoing down hall at all hours Wi fi cuts out at ? Midnight

Large comfortable room, we booked for 2 people and got large double bed and single. Private room, could easily come and go as we pleased. Was in centre of town, easy walk to port. Very helpful and friendly on arrival, recommendations on places to visit around town. No wifi in room. Plumbing smelled in the bathroom, but this seemed to be a common problem in Crete not just to this hotel.

Spacious studio with balcony overlooking attractive alleyway. Location within a few minutes walk of a couple of museums, harbour with many shops and places to eat, and not far from main bus station. Crockery, cutlery and basic cooking facilities including coffee machine. Bathroom not too small, reliable hot water.

Vranas is in a great location in Chania. We had a lovely room overlooking the Square. Clean, comfortable rooms with beds made for us daily. The Manageress, Alexandra, was an absolute gem. We had a problem with our light and she fixed the problem in no time. When we requested a light blanket on our beds, they were delivered straight away. Alexandra also gave us tips on some good places to eat, what buses to catch, beaches to go to and provided us with maps. She made our stay very enjoyable, nothing was a problem for her. The maid even helped us down the stairs with our baggage!

Super location in the heart of old city, spacious room, very tasty and well-served breakfast, view from the balcony. Very nice place to stay. There wasn't wifi in the room actually, although I got the password etc.

Perfect location for the city and the port, the beach is only a short walk away. The staff were lovely and very helpful though, as the rooms are well appointed and set up for independence, we barely had a chance to talk to them because we were too busy enjoying our holiday.

The location was perfect to visit Chania, inside the old town and near to the harbour. The Services/facilities and the room cleaness was very poor!!! the towels were not changed during our 4 days at the hotel and the liquid soap in the toilette was always missing!!!

The room was clean and spacious. The location was right in the heart of the town yet we never had any problems with noise at night. I had read on previous notices posted on your site that there may be an issue with the plumbing smelling, however, our room didn't smell at all. We were on the top floor which after a long hard day on the beach could be a bit of a drag climbing the 69 steps to our room. However it was a small price to pay. If you have health issues you would be better requesting a lower floor.

It's location is ideal, in the middle of the city of Chania in a romantic street. The apartments are very spacious. The kitches is unpractical as it is cramped in the corner. But Chania has many good restaurants, so you won't be bothered by this unless your budget is too tight.

The room was beautiful, the friendly staff went out of her way to be accomadating and the studios are so central to the vibrant and thriving centre of Chania. For what I paid, it was the best bargain I have come across in years!

“Vores ferie på Kreta uge 31. 2011 Doge Hotel har været en god base for vores ferie på Kreta, service fra personalet var I top, værelse nr.2 Mod øst I den gamle bygning overfor hotellet, var nyistandsat og med god balkon ingen støj fra musik.
