Score from 12 reviews Very good
selection of movies, balcony, nice room, great location
We enjoyed the quietness, staff hospitality and cleanliness of the facilities.
Hot water was too hot.
Yannis was very accommodating for our stay and always willing to assist. The rooms were adequate with all you needed, clean and nice.
It would be nice to have an extra blanket for the bed only a sheet was provided.
Location, friendly hosts
The hotel is an easy walking distance from the port and it was a well maintained room and a very friendly family who runs it.
Everything, quiet and relaxed surrondings. Nice room with good service from the staff. We loved to sit outside in our "little backgarden" Eveerything was good:)
Very friendly staff, great quiet place close to port, very clean and cozy. Would deffinately stay there again
Nothing to dislike I suppose
clean, quiet, nicely decorated
the room was relatively small, the pillows were terrible, the bed was a bit narrow against the wall - not very comfortable. The matress was good, however.
I d like most the friendly staff and the back yard behind the room
Hydra is a paradise and private courtyard was a real bonus Would come back! European Breakfast for 2 at Isolas is amazing esp with discount for Piteoussa guests - amazing really!!
Our rooms were quiet and well appointed in terms of wifi, a fridge, tv (with BBC news) etc,.,,The landlady was charming and helpful.
We had two nights at the Piteoussa. The room for the first night was PERFECT - much better than the room we had last year at the Bratsera. But the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. It was hard and lumpy and it SQUEAKED when one of us tried to turn over. We changed rooms next day to a smaller room with a more comofrtable bed.
The very friendly operator/concierge/front desk man met us at the hotel side door, showed us to our room and tried to explain the hotel oddities, such as don't turn on the hot water heater or fridge for a little while (I think there was some sort of electrical shortage, but am not sure as his English and our Greek is non existent). We were told not to drink the tap water, but were given bottled water. The hotel notwithstanding, we very much enjoyed Hydra.
1. The hotel has deteriorated since the photos for Booking.com were taken. The courtyard, which looks so inviting on the Booking.com web page, was a mess of broken concrete, weeds and discarded construction material. 2. WiFi, while free, was so excruciatingly slow it reminded me of dial up service. Free WiFi at restaurants on the waterfront was normal, so I don't think there was an island ISP problem. 3. Our room overlooked what must have been the main route in and out of town. Early in the morning there was a stream of donkeys, carts and people passing by, and greetings between people seemed to be shouted. Late at night, the folks and animals went the other way, with the corresponding noise. 4. There was no kettle or coffee maker as advertised. Overall, we were disappointed. In Booking.com's favour, however, this was the only hotel of eight we booked that did not meet our expectations.
