Arrived at the end of the season, late October, so we had the best room at a low rate. Lindos was beautiful, the staff were friendly, helpful, generous and kind. Recommended
location was excellent value for money studio better than the norm in lindos. loved the our balcony a rare find :)
The view from the terrace was the only almost good thing but unfortunately there seemed to be music playing to spoil the ambience which wouldn't have been so bad if it were greek music. Also the view was marred by some ridiculous luminous green wispy bits of material that were hanging down from the roof over the balcony for its entire length. The one time we sat and tried to enjoy the view (late in the evening when the music was turned off) we discovered that the material was perfectly placed to obliterate the view and there was little you could do about it.
The room. It was filthy and dilapidated. There were two windows but unfortunately they were frosted glass (with rotten window frames). It was like being in prison. If you could open the windows then the only view was of other guests looking back at you whilst sitting outside their rooms. There was not a usable kitchen, we had to balance the kettle on the back of a chair to reach the plug socket. There were three pieces of glassware in the drawer, two of which were dessert glasses - we had to buy our own glasses! Not a single shelf was in any way level. There was mould all over the place - we have pictures which we will post on another review site. The shower had to be held by hand at all times. The air conditioning unit constantly threw out black "sooty particles" over the bed, our clothes, anything in range. If you wanted to turn on/off the bedside lights then you had to stand on the bed. In the morning the courtyard outside the room filled up with the previous night’s revellers enjoying very loud discussions about the evenings activities interrupted only by continuous mobile ringtones. The cleaner tried to come in without knocking or asking. Fortunately we stopped her in time but she took this to mean she didn't have to clean that day. We never saw a single member of management during our stay. It was so dreadful that we looked for other accommodation to finish our stay and thankfully found somewhere very nice for the last four days. If you don’t care where you stay then this might be for you if it was 30 quid a night but we paid nearly 70! Outrageous!
Accommodation is within the old village and it is only a short walk to St Paul's beach. There is a beautiful roof terrace where we had breakfast and our evening meals, that had a great view over lindos and the acropolis. The apartment was lovely and any problems we had were promptly sorted out by Andy. Great place to stay, highly recommended if your visiting Lindos.
I would recomend for one night stay but not longer.
Cold water and when we spoke with the owner nobody came to help us...
We stayed 4 night during our august holidays in Block D. The place is wonderful,with tables outside to relax yourself .Is available a kitchen and a refrigerator so that you can manage to cook your breakfast or dinner. The apartment is cleaned every single day and you can't hear noise nevertheless you are a couple of minute walk from the city centre. To reach the sea instead you have to walk for 10 minutes so for us it's definetily a good choice
While there the water pipe burst. And flooded the kitchen in the middle of the night. Andy and meggie called in the workers to sort it out quickly with minimal intrusion to our vacation. Great service. Thanks all
To many ferrule cats in the area that create a big mess and really bad smell.
The view to the Lindos Acropolis at the terrase was great. Check-in/out was very friendly, fast and efficient. We were given an upgrade to a bigger room with a kitchen and a living room. The room was designed for family with many kids or a small group of people travelling together. It was overall very spacious, clean and well thought for the guests. The location was also ideal as it was quiet, but only a 5 min walk to the bars/restaurants/beach. I highly recommend the Xenones Lindos!
This accommodation was the best of the trip. We had an incredibly spacious room with great facilities. While Lindos is a place that seems to party all night, our room had thick walls which meant that the accommodation was quiet despite its central location. And what a location it was! Lindos is a wonderful place to stay, heaps of character, some nice places to eat (I would recommend Olympia Restaurant, for a start), and the most wonderful beach to swim at. Loved every minute. And above us, the town's own acropolis. It's so good, I want to keep it a secret!!
That we didn't stay longer.
Closer to The center
Room was tiny and dark d block is far from main Building which you see The colorful and exaggerated! You dont even see a balcony sun terrace or terrace. No Restaurant No bar No cafe in The facility the reception is with very Limited Access Receptionist doesnt know English well and explain you how ro reach Hotel from carpark which is far and you have to Carry all your belongings by yourself in the tiny roads steps and hills The Room was No noise isolation The shower cabinet was leaking after you take shower the bathroom will be under water and foot Towel will get wet If you dont like The Room and complain The owner andy will yell you on The phone and say ı dont have any other Room sorry lindos is an old town and we are not a Hotel we just Rent Room if you dont like you can go
Location was good, close to the town centre but just off the main strip so it was quite. Maggie our host was very pleasant and friendly.
Limited directions prior to arrival, I think they should prepare a map of their location prior to staying, as we arrived a 3am and it was impossible to find without the help of some friendly locals. No water in the fridge on arrival which after a long flight and carting your luggage down numerous steps would be beneficial. The rooms are nice but starting to look slightly tired, also the water pressure was terrible when trying to shower. Also there was no facility for late check which was disappointing.
Unrivalled accommodation in a superb location, close enough to all of the wonderful things that Lindos has to offer, but far enough out not to be disturbed!!!
Nothing!! Really struggling to think of anything negative!! I could not recommend xenones highly enough, I rented out all of block D, and it was great
Towels changed more often
Close proximity to town.
Nowhere to lie in the sun at xenones. Rather dark inside but many p;aces in Lindos ae like this.
Location in upper part of old town. Crooked, atmospheric street. Fantastic view from terrace.
Andy and his staff were very accommodating to all our needs would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic lindian experience
Slight smell of drains in lower ground room
The view from the terrace was very good. Staff were very helpful and replaced the missing light bulb as soon as it was reported. They also got us back when later at night the electricity went off. There are several 'supermarkets' place (better than in many other larger places) to buy food nearby if you want a change from eating out. There is no way you can park near the hotel. You have to park in one of the community car parks and walk as Lindos has small streets, some of them with steps. Great atmosphere and enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the older units and were told these are to be upgraded so there isn't a high step up into the bathroom and the two-tier bath would be replaced with something more modern.
I wanted to know how to reach the hotel but the booking.com website kept telling me I could not drive there even though I asked for the walking route from the bus stop. My husband went walking in town and went to the police station, where no-one there had heard of the place. They told him to ask a workman on a nearby building site, who was very helpful. The acropolis may be 200m away, but bear in mind that the acropolis is up above the town!
-location -price -huge terrace -beautiful views -confortable beds;
-lack of cutlery and crockery for cooking;
