Zappion HotelIronda 4 Street, Pagrati, Kallimarmaro, 116 35 Athens (Show map) Good, Score from 107 reviews“the location of thehotel was good for getting out of the city to the airport - the taff were extremely friendly and helpful and advised on how to get around the city and to certain places. Very quiet, lovely, modern, well equipped room - good hotel all in all!!”
Darren,
Barcelona
Located in a quiet residential street, this well-priced hotel is in a convenient location within walking distance of the national gardens and Syntagma Metro Station. Zappion Hotel is placed on a pedestrian street, not accessible by car, which means that it is extremely peaceful. However, one of the central Athenian streets, Vassileos Konstantinou, is only 5 minutes away. Within the close vicinity you will also find Athens National Park and Zappeion Megaron; the center of Athens and Syntagma are also very close and easy to get to, as is the avenue to the seaside. Should you wish to venture further afield, the experienced and friendly staff are on-hand to help you with day trip arrangements. Hotel Rooms: 16

Zappion is good value for money at an excellent location within walking distance to major attractions and several metro and tram stations. I'ts a place for people who do not mind staying in a room with little bit brothel like interior (look the pictures), huge balcony with a view to a quiet pedestrian street and a little bit weird bathroom door. 24-7 open minimarket and several cheap local tavernas are also nearby....you will get a great local feeling as you're staying in a quiet residential area maybe not suitable for old and/or perfect kleenliness and quiet loving people...as the place may be slightly noisy and with bohemian attitude. the streets near hotel are also full of dogshit....but that's the same in all athens

Very small room, not easy to find. It takes around 25mins to walk to the metro station and bus x95, and if you bring a baggage, it would be longer.

The Location was perfect for my needs and the price was good. The staff spoke enough english to be helpful. Clean and safe, a little hard to find at first, I HIGHLY recommend that you have the address in Greek script to give to the taxi driver. The neighborhood looks sketchy near the hotel but as you venture into the heart of the neighborhood you see how cute and safe it is. There are great shops and restaurants near by and the metro is a 6 minute walk through the national gardens. Perfect hotel.

Our room was cleaned every day and it was supplied with all necessary amenities, especially in the Bathroom. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Plaka neighborhood and was an excellent choice for the price.

The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and removed from the main tourist areas, a little more "real" Athens, but still close enough to main attractions. The room was a little run down, and smelled of old smoke. The decoration was strange.

The location is great: a quiet and safe street in the middle of the city centre. You can easily walk to Syntagma square or a subway station in 10 minutes to catch every public transport you need. The rooms are clean and exactly what you expect from a budget hotel. The air conditioning works very well. The walls are indeed very thin, so noises from the hall or from neighbours could sometimes be heard. If you are sensitive to this you need some earplugs.

The hotel was modest, but very clean and very, very good value for money. I can't say nothing wrong about the service. Situated less than 1 km from major sightseeing sites. The walls were a little thin and you could hear noises from other rooms.

Don't be put off by the sometimes strangely decorated rooms (one had zebraprint-wallpaper), this is a nice hotel to stay. The staff are very friendly and could match the right room number to our faces within days of arrival. My room had a huge balcony, which was nice to relax in the sun after a day walking through the city. The hotel is located about 10 min walk from the Evangelismos metro station and 15-20 min walk from the city centre and the restaurants in Plaka. The roman stadium and tram to the beach are just around the corner. Breakfast is not included but can be useful if you need to leave very early, and there are several bakeries and an all-hours supermarket very close by. The room had a refrigerator to keep some drinks cool. The rooms are quite small (big enough, but not much room to put your suitcase) and dark. The bathrooms are clean but a bit old and the shower was tiny. One of my friends had a room adjacent to the "party house" next door and heard music all friday and saturday night, but it was the only room this could be heard.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of Athen in pedestrian street with some local restaurants, little supermarkets, bakery and a fruit shop. Not much movement in the street, we didn´t see any prostitutes or drug addicts. The cleaning women let our door open after cleaning.. Nothing was stolen and the managment apologized and tried to make up for it. Last night out of three was really noisy because a group of drunk people stayed for some hours at the hotel until their flight left in the morning. To reach the main touristic points you have to walk a bit. Also the subway is in a 10 to 15 min walking distance. If u don´t like the colour red u might not enjoy your room.. What u can see on the fotos is how it is.. Just red.. The wall, the courtains..
