Zefiros Traditional Hotel  

We loved the location and the friendliness of the staff; indeed we had booked for just one night but stayed for three which says how happy we were with the hotel itself.

Only two minor things: that one bedside lamp was not working and one electric socket for the kettle didn't work either but we forgive them all that as it was excellent for comfort, facilities and food.

I loved the convenience of everything, how close it was to the beach, and the hotel cafe was excellent for coffee and meals all day long. The room was beautifull and very clean, and most of all the hotel staff were very helpful, and have left a lasting impression in out minds with how friendly and hospitable they were to us.

It was very quaint and traditional and quiet which we liked. Extremely friendly staff and lovely food. Awesome area and lovely setting.

Everything was great , beach view from rooms, great beach! The atmosphere is so homy and friendly! Will defenetely come again

Excellent location, high quality of the rooms, hotel decor style. Owners upgraded the type of room without extra charge.

The location was excellent. The staff were so pleasant and friendly, they went out of their way to help us. The rooms were very clean and spacious, comfortable and with a lovely sea view. The breakfasts were nice too.

The food in the evening wasn't great but it is not too expensive either. There is a lot of traffic noise at night-time.

First of all we liked that the Hotel Zefiros is a small, family-run hotel at a great location (surrounded by three beaches just steps away, boat taxis nearby that can be chartered to take you to a number of remote beaches and a 15 min. Hike from the Monestary). The hotel can be easily reached by bus (ktle green bus) from Corfu Town and renting a car is not necessary . The bus stop in Paleo is only a few meters away from the hotel. We felt very fortunate to have air condition in our room since it was very hot during our stay. The breakfast room and veranda serve also as a snack bar and a good variety of food and beverages is offered. The Hotel Zefiros is a charming hotel and the friendly owners and staff made us feel very welcome.

Location is just fantastic. Only 20m to the beautiful main beach of Paleo. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Iren was great. We had a very good time in Corfu thanks to her. Room was cozy and clean, and breakfast was really good, too.

Amazing ...We were treated like family from the start, and could not have been made to feel more welcome from the owners. All other stAff were just as friendly and willing to help on any request. The location is perfect next to the beach to swim,for nearby boat tours and restaraunts and cafes nearby are plenty. The breakfast and food served all day at the Zefiros is of top quality too. The owners also went out of their way to help take us to another atm, as the local one was not working during our stay. I will be back to stay here and recommend to all my family and friends

The owners were very helpful at all points, even drove us to the cash machine 3kms away to help us out. The hotel has a real family owned feel to it.

Wifi not always found on the top floor but works everywhere else

Our family had a wonderful time staying in Paleokastritsa at Zefiros Hotel. All the staff was so friendly and helpful and breakfast each morning was delicious. The location was perfect, across from a gorgeous beach and access to many other beautiful beaches. We had such a lovely time in this town we didn't have a need to go elsewhere.

Fabulous location, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast on the verandah overlooking the beach lovely. Rooms comfy and clean. A truly relaxing place to stay.

I visit +/- 40 hotels per year, and this personal, family-run hotel has been my highlight of the year so far. By far. Extremely friendly staff, charming rooms and excellent location to the beaches.

Only one minor remark: the matrasses are a bit thin and hard.

Zefyros hotel has maintained a traditional architectural style and resembles the small family run guest houses of Greece in the 70s as opposed to the vast unpersonal hotels. The sea view is beautiful and the breakfast was one of the best we ve ever had, fresh juice and fresh baked croissant in a romantic setting. The owners of the hotel are very friendly, they suggested to us nice things to do and one of the best places for dinner in Corfu, the tavern "Doukas" in the pittoresque Doukades village, 1km away from the busy Palaiokastritsa.

During the day it can get a bit noisy with open windows because the road is just in front, nevertheless at night that is no issue because there was hardly any cars passing at that time.

The Beds are a too hard...

The location and staff were wonderful. We walked to many different restaurants and the local monastery from the hotel. Our room was cleaned every morning.

The only thing we didn't like about the hotel was how hard the bed was. We both had sore backs after the first night. I ended up using two extra pillows to cushion the bed.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who did everything possible to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect too. I would definitely return.

The room was a little basic but was comfortable enough and represented excellent value for money, so no real complaint. The larger rooms appeared to be furnished to a higher standard and benefitted from balconies with sea views, so would be worth the extra cost.

The beds were too too hard for us.

We just came home from a wonderful holiday at the Zefiros Hotel. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were very good and very fresh. The rooms were kept spotless and the airconditioning in the evening while we slept was perfect. They provided a drying rack for our patio area to hang our beach towels, etc. We only had one evening meal there - on our last evening - and wished we had eaten there earlier! There is free parking near the hotel if you have a rental car. Enjoyed watching the goats being taken down from the monastery in the mornings - right past the hotel's terrace while enjoying breakfast - and then brought back up to the monastery in the evening. Paleokastritsa is a beautiful spot on Corfu - so happy we chose to stay there and especially glad we chose to stay at Zefiros. We had a rental car and drove around the Island and felt so lucky to be able to come back there. The beach is fantastic and we had great fun snorkelling. Thank you to Johnnie, Dashula (sp?), Ashley, Nadia and Maria for making our stay so pleasant!

The room itself was a tad small, but then we didn't spend much time in there!

The Zefiros is an old traditional hotel and as such is full of character and charm. The views from the hotel are wonderful - Paleo itself is picture postcard pretty. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and helpful and genuinely friendly. We loved it so much that we are going back on 11th June 2012 - we booked the return trip whilst still out there so that speaks volumes!

Absolutely nothing to dislike at all.

First of all, we were upgraded to a better room as soon as we got there, as there'd been a cancellation. This room was amazing, with a balcony, large windows, plenty of light, and a little living-room area with an extra 2 beds. The hotel in general is beautiful, decorated in a rustic style that makes it stand out from the rest of the buildings in the area. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, and the possiblity o having it on the lovely terraced area looking at the sea. Great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Staying here is more expensive than some of the other hotels around, but definitely worth it. I would stay here again, no question.

We left some bread on the kitchen counter in our room and suddenly the place was full of ants, that wasn't good. The birds in the trees opposite the hotel are extremely loud in the morning, from about 5, which can be annoying for some people. And the shower curtain is way too small for the shower itself, so there was a bit of flooding in the toilet. But these are minor disadvamtages compared to all the good points this place has.

I liked just about everything about this hotel.The rooms are spotless and repainted every year.The breakfasts are delicious and you can choose to have traditional Greek or full English/ omelette and there's always plenty of freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee.The staff are exceptionally nice and as we went at the very start of the season, the hotel was quiet so we had lots of chats. The rooms are simple with firm beds and a small TV and a fridge.

We stayed at the Zefiros during Easter 2012 and can fully recommend it. The sound of the waves rolling onto the beach is just so relaxing to watch from the balconies or to listen to from your room.The owners and staff do their very best to make you welcome and are always on hand to help and advise if you so need it. The hotel is excellently maintained inside and out. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel restaurant can provide great meals and lighter refreshments throughout the day. The hotel is located in the smaller and less densely populated of the two bays that makes up Paleokastritsa but this is definitely the best bay. If you want a quieter stay in a beautiful part of Corfu but which can also be a good base to explore further if you wish, then this is definitely the place.
