The location is great!
Don't send your laundry there, they destroyed our clothes
booked people in our room
Everyone needs to know that there is no lift and the third floor is up five flights of stairs.
Toilets were not working, dirty shower, staff not very helpful, only one key per room, no internet in the rooms.
This hostel was so wonderful! the staff is friendly and helpful, I was sick when i got here and the lady that ran the hostel basically became my mother and cured me overnight :) the rooms and house is beautiful! a little hard to find but i figured it out- would definitely reccomend to other travellers~
The location was very good and the staff was friendly!
Unfortunately the wifi didn't reach the room we were staying at
Nice location in Athens and realy nice staff.
It was to loud at night, very hard to sleep There is no Community area, there was no one at the rooftop, so its realy hard to meet new people.
The personnel was kind, always available to give you some informations about the city. The hostel has a good location (in the center, 5 minutes by foot from Monastiraki) The sheets, rooms etc ... were clean (not perfect clean but come on, you get what you pay for). I would go back there again when i go back to Athens ;)
No hot water in the shower.
The staff is good and the hotel is located near some touristic attractions, even though the next area is a bit dangerous.
No wi-fi in the room and outside the rooms there are not any socket to plug a charger.
So close from everything you should see: Monastiraki, Agora, Acropolis, National Museum.
Our room was very dirty: "cats" of dust under the bed and in the fan. Common showers didn't work properly, and you couldn't lock the door from inside! Wifi just in the staircase. "Free public parking in the neighbours" is a big lie: it's not free, and, questioned about the area security, the receptionist didn't suggest to park there (adding not nice comparison with our home town). Anyway, for about 10€/day there is an indoor parking at 100mt.
for that money its ok, but only for shot term stay, nice spot on the roof where you can met other guests during night
Not far and very cheap accommodation.
Cheap and friendly
Location not ideal
15 - 20 minutes walk to the Akropolis
Dirty and smelly showers, insane amounts of bugs, spiders and mozzies in the room, mosquito blood on the walls, cobwebs, no wifi in rooms, had to pay for air con, dirty sheets, uncomfortable and unsafe beds, was informed by staff that the water was fine as long as "you let the water run for a bit to get rid of the dust". Other than that, it was a ripper hostel
Close to a few major sites
In a dangerous part of town, even our cab driver warned us about it. The showers did not work, were really dirt, and had bugs. The staff was rude and not helpful. You have to pay extra for air conditioning. The wifi only works on one of the landings in the stair well.
Location and cost was great if you give up cleanliness and comfortable facilities.
Shower booth was not clean.
It's cheap, clean and near to Omonia, Monastiraki and Panepistimio metro stations.
Forget the wi-fi in the rooms, which are too tiny as well as the batheroom. The common areas are the stairs.
Zeus has a perfect position in the heart of Athens and the people there are amazing.. it is a very international place and you can meet lots of people from all around the world. The reception guys are also very nice, they can help you with everything. I really enjoyed my stay at Zeus and I really loved Athens!!! I will go there again for sure!
The room itself was pretty nice
Security was awful. The person at the front desk didn't care who walked in or out and considering that the front door was always open and it was not a very safe neighborhood, this posed a problem. additionally there was only one key per room which logistically was a little rough. The showers (at least the ones that worked) didn't have locks that worked or the lights didn't work. Internet was also a struggle considering you could only get it on two landings of the whole building.
The location is very close by two important train stations: Omonia and Monastiraki. Also I could go to most places by walking.
In the shower room there is nowhere to hang your clothes and you have to share it with another person because the 2 showers are in the same room. The wi-fi only does not work inside rooms, only in the corridors. Sometimes the cleaning lady can be very annoying.
showers need updating
Great location, we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The beds were comfortable, but if you're over 190 cm (as two in our group were), they were a bit short. All in all, it was great value for money, and quite all right to stay in for a few nights.
Cleaning personnel was not very friendly, and the cleaning standard in the toilets and showers left something to be desired. There were also broken toilet seats and the locks on the showers on our floor didn't work.
Wonderful, friendly staff that is available 24 hours a day to help guests with their questions about Athens and transportation. Location, a five minute walk up Athinas from Monasteraki and two minutes from Omonia is great. The hostel is really geared toward the younger, backpacking group who want an inexpensive place to stay and the opportunity to meet others on the roof garden for gatherings.
I liked everything but someone who is interested in privacy and quiet and the amenities would not find the Zeus their cup of tea.
Location and the room with balcon.
Only 1 key for 4 persons in the same room. The shower hasn't soap-dish and rack for the clothes and towel. The door can't be locked.
