We booked an apartment with kitchen for three adults in hotel Zeus. Somehow the owner had misunderstood that two of us were children and we found one single and one double bed (1.20 m broad) placed in the room. After informing the owners about this, they weren't willing to change up, so we had to alternate every night the double bed (struggle not to fall out of the bed, extremely hot), so at least one of us would experience a comfortable night in the single bed.
Unfortunately, this was not the only discomfort in the room. Our toilet seat was broken, the bathroom sink was an uncovered hole (when my toothbrush accidentally fell in it, I had to take it out with my tweezers). The holder for the shower head was not adjusted to the shower head, therefore useless. The kitchen was marginal: the steel pans were dirty, the electric kettle was scaled (calcium), forks, knives and spoons were counted out to just three each and the bread knife was broken. The wooden shutters from the balcony did not fit the door post, so every morning bright sunlight would wake us up at 6:30 through the arc-shaped holes above. Soap was not present funtil we asked for it. Breakfast quality was rather low (milk, coffee, marmalade, orange juice all tasted somewhat cheap) in relation to the price.
The staff was kind and helpful with tips about the island. Our room was cleaned every day, as the rest of the hotel. We liked the style and ambiance. Wifi is all around available. The beach is very close, as are multiple supermarkets and bus stations. Unfortunately, these points don’t outweigh the negative points. For a hostel price, it would’ve been acceptable, but in our opinion, this hotel was now greatly overpriced.
