Score from 52 reviews Excellent
Beautiful courtyard. Fairly quiet even though our room was on the street.
Wi-Fi was a little quirky.
It was perfect, fountain in the middle of the courtyard and a talking parrot in the second garden.
Excellent location and helpful staff.
Poor value for money but then Antigua is ridiculously expensive. Room was cold in the evenings and night as there is no heating. I had to ask for hot water to be switched on in the morning.
Great location, can't really be beat. Staff is good and inner courtyard is beautiful. Big rooms and nice hot showers.
The stay ended up costing about 50+ more dollars than I thought because of the taxes (my fault, I should have read closer). Wifi was very spotty.
The kindness of the team. The garden. Equipment of the room. Free parking for the car. The breakfast, with fresh fruits and good breds.
The noise in the night (people talking in the chairs placed just near our door)
Location (really close to centre of Antigua) Grand colonial courtyard Shower
I love the experience to stay in this ancient hose of Antigua Guatemala, with all the comfort like in a recently built hotel
Safe, clean Lovely hot shower Close to central plaza
Breakfast was basically juice, fruit, toast and coffee. Little information given on registering re breakfast, television, gate etc. perhaps young fellow at desk was new?
Excellent location, close to every where. Friendly stuff.
The breakfast was too simple.
they tried to charge me for a double room when I requested a single, how do I change that the next time???
The staff was friendly and very easy to communicate with either in English or Spanish. Very clean hotel in general. The room is small but clean and the bathroom was average size with high ceiling. My car fits in one of the parking spaces which is located inside of the hotel. I forgot to put one of my windows up the night before but found everything there where I left them, including a Garmin GPS hooked to the dash board. Price is reasonable compare to the neighboring hotels. I stayed one night but will stay there again and will recommend hotel Aurora to all my friends and acquaintances. I really enjoyed my stay!
The location is central to everything in Antigua. It is the most comfortable, secure lodging I have found & best value in my 10+ years traveling to Antigua.
The breakfast, although very good, could have had more options.
I stayed in this family owned hotel 34 years ago and now in 2014. Prime location, lovely staff, terrific value, and wonderful garden to take a siesta.
Great value compared to other hotels in the area Beautiful bathroom with hot shower Nice garden
Lovely gardens, prime location
No restaurant except for breakfast. No bar so unable to buy any snacks or drinks
Love the location, the room and the beautiful garden. The hotel offers umbrellas when it rains.
You need to pay extra for eggs in breakfast.
Entry to the hotel was controlled. Close to good restaurants and central park. Breakfast options. Wake up calls. Very clean; well maintained. Lounge chairs in a very pretty courtyard. Closet, vanity, desk, side tables, spacious room, sofa/chairs outside room. Courteous staff. 10pm noise curfew.
No air conditioning but only seldom wished for it over our two-week stay in August. Busy/noisy street on one side.
Good location Lovely courtyard garden Good breakfast
Location is perfect, size of the rooms and of course the staff.
Hotel Aurora is a beautiful hotel with old world charm. We loved it. I was traveling with my 16 yr. old grandson and he felt safe and pleased with the accommodations. I did recommend the hotel to other travelers we met but warned them of the long wait time to get into the room.
We arrived at Guatemala city at 6AM and caught a mini bus at the airport. We arrived in Antigual at 7:30 AM and had to wait 6 and a half hours to get into our hotel room. We were tired from lack of sleep on the night flight. The wait was too long and I wish we could have gotten into our room sooner.
This is a lovely hotel with a flower-filled courtyard surrounded by chairs and sofas, all very inviting. The rooms are nice and breakfast was good.
The garden, the clean large rooms, great showers.
Very nice property, beautiful setting with gardens. Updated bathroom was nice. Security (front gate access controlled by desk clerk). Very convenient for walking to central park and main street.
Rooms a bit small, but not that big a deal.
Location, garden, old-worldly charm
Reasonable price and great location. Nice central courtyard.
No airconditioning! Must avoid a room at the front -noisy. Breakfast minimal and no restaurant ( lots of local alternatives).
