Score from 9 reviews Wonderful
The hotel was lovely. The lobby was nicely decorated and very inviting. There was a nice breakfast area and a separate sitting area. We had a room with 2 king beds that was very spacious. The room also had a love seat, coffee table, mini-frig and an armoire. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. The hotel was located about 3-4 blocks from Parque Central, so it was pretty quiet, even on a Friday night. They had a good breakfast- coffee, a fruit plate with fresh OJ, plus the typical Guatemalan breakfast of eggs, queso, beans and fried plantains. The wifi connection was probably the best/fastest connection we had during our entire 2 wks in Guatemala. The natural light in the room was minimal, as the room was down a hallway, but it was offset by plenty of lights by each bed.
There was a small sitting area on the roof, but no view. They provided bottles of filtered water, but there was no "on-demand" water dispenser to refill the botlles, unlike many other hotels in the area have. We were told by the staff that the complimentary breakfast was only for 2 people even though we were paying for 4 people in our room. As we were leaving very early the next morning and wouldn't be having breakfast, they just applied the 2 free breakfasts for that morning to our bill and called it good. I still think that since we were paying for 4 people in the room, that should also include 4 breakfasts.
The hotel is situated close to the central plaza. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They recommended some very good restaurants to us which we enjoyed.
I wish the breakfast could have started sooner. We had a 7:00 tour which was the exact time for the included breakfast.
Staff very friendly and were helpful organising transport and late night cups of coffee. We had a lovely and relaxed 2 night stay. Hugh bed and beautifully decorated room.
small room and dark
friendliness of staff was excellent, they catered to our needs immediately
rooms don't have windows visible mold or mildew on walls in bath room and bedroom.
Helpful staff Good location Nice facilities
nice rooms and very comfortable beds, very helpful staff!
Really helpful staff that opened up late when arrival times went out of the window. A lovely hotel near to the centre of town.
The room was very comfortable, and even luxurious, especially for Guatemala. But we didn't have to pay the price for one of the luxury hotels in Antigua. Hot water, soft beds, TV, strong WiFi, the works! Tasty breakfast and super helpful staff for our first visit to Antigua.
Rooms don't have air conditioning but they do have a fan and Antigua is cool so didn't need AC anyway.
Beds were comfortable Staff nice Meals good Location good Security was great Lots of hot water
We were in front bedroom by the dining area. Noisy in morning when others leaving early for excursions. Also lots of knocking at front door very early in morning to get in. Should set up a bell system as to stop banging. Lots of traffic noise.
Staff very kind Comfort bed Very clean Great breakfast Central yet quiet location
Friendly and very helpfull staff. Delicious breakfast. Clean and nicely decorated room 4. Colourfull small patio: feel at home and simply relax.
It's small and welcoming. I was given a bigger room, as the hotel was not full. Great breakfast with surprising variety given so few guests. Good location for the bars on 1st Avenida. Reasonably priced as it worked out at £25+tax for a double room with breakfast.
Visitors should be aware that many rooms have internal windows only, looking onto the staircase or communal areas. The patio is also quite small and enclosed, although it's still a great spot for breakfast. If you don't want to splurge on Hotel Aurora, or want somewhere quieter, then this a great place to stay.
The staff were very friendly, when I was leaving Antigua, my shuttle bus was very very late, they helped me calling the shuttle bus company. The breakfast was nice, and loved the mini bar. Just 2 blocks from central park.
The inroom wifi wasn't good, most of the time was slow and disconnect frequently, I had to stay at courtyard for wifi. And the 2nd night, I did get smelly pillows.
Casa bella was our first place in Guatamla and it was a great start! The stuff was really kind and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was great!
The room is a bit small..
great breakfast excellent location staff very friendly Very nice hotel
room could be more clean no wi-fi in some rooms
Rooms are tastefully decorated and service is personal and professional
The location - just two blocks from the center of town. The complimentary breakfast each morning - it was delicious. The security of the hotel - I never felt like there would be an issue. The bed - super comfy and cozy.
Very beautiful place. Located 5 min walking to the main square. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice
We liked the decoration of rooms, the ambiance.
Location was a little bit out of the way, regarding major attractions of Antigua. Bathroom was not functioning properly (water from the water taps was either too hot or too cold). Breakfast was so, so. For what we paid, this was not the kind of hotel we expected to find.
The staff was great, helpful, extremely pleasant & a joy. Free breakfast was good, & even though the laundry we sent out wasn't done in time for our departure; they went out of their way to get it back for us quickly to make our flight!
A cleaner, more detailed bathroom.
Breakfasts excellent; decor fantastic; gardens very good, rooms well appointed with comfortable beds; location good on the dge of town but easily walkable if you didn't want to take the car.
wifi only in public areas; no parking except in a public carpark, although with a cheap rate for hotel guests
The hotel was nicely decorated and in a good location. The staff were friendly as well.
We decided to spent the extra money for the suite because it was the last two days of our trip, but the room had a low ceiling, was dark and stayed really warm and humid the entire time, even with windows open and the fan going. The room didn't feel clean with dusty light fixtures and a moldy shower curtain. The room was very large and even had a jacuzzi tub, but it didn't feel like a boutique hotel. We did peak into a standard room, which looked really nice with high ceilings. Also, the breakfast offered didn't compare to the other places we stayed.
it's a very authentic bed and breakfast, and the staff is amazing. The breakfast is also wonderful
staff is so so. just.
they have to arrange every facilities in hotel. I Came to experience the hotel as hell. becasue there was a musty odor in the room. Narrow room. Also, it was not the sun. heard sex noise. Above all, I went for jacuzzi. it didn't work well.
