Casa Bella Boutique Hotel    

Casa Bella is a delightful place to stay. It is small and intimate. We stayed 9 nights and we felt like we were visiting someone's home. The staff is wonderful.

Our room got a little warm at night but they graciously got us a fan when we asked.

The hotel is great value for the money. It is in a great location in Antigua...easy walking distance to central park, the Cathedral, restaurants, bars, shopping and museums. The rooms were spacious, well furnished and had very comfortable beds! Each morning, we were greeted by friendly staff who prepared a delicious, cooked to order breakfast complete with fresh roasted, Guatemalan coffee which we could eat in the cute courtyard...great way to start the day! The super helpful staff assisted us in booking tours, spa visit, airport car service, etc.

Only that we couldn't stay longer!!

Good location, bedroom was good - staff were nice

Did not like the design of the lobby and open areas - very sub-standard and poorly maintained, including peeling paint, dirty cushion covers, odd and cheap furniture

The hotel was overbooked when we arrived which management admitted was their fault. After 1 1/2 hours of stressful negotiation they found a smaller room for my family with the understanding that a credit for the difference in rooms would be issued. Now two weeks later they are creating every story imaginable to not issue a credit. Stay somewhere else! These people are unethical and not to be trusted. Shame on you Casa Bella!

Stayed for 2 nights with my boyfriend in March. Staff were incredibly helpful right from Chris the manager arranging a taxi pick up last minute, to the lovely receptionist and staff that cooked our breakfast each day! The hotel is beautiful and so clean. Can't fault anything! Definitely get the king suite - the hot tub was the highlight of the trip!

The lady in the reseption was very nice! The room upstairs is very good- big, with a small balcony, hottub, T.V., and privesy. The breakfast is nice.

At first we didn't get the room we paied for, and had to spend 2 nights out of 4 in a terrible room, with no hot water and no privesy. The owner lied to us and said he would come but he never came and he would not refund us for the different room. In e-mail he prommised wine for our honymoon that we never got.

Aesthetically designed room in central location, but immediate, non-refundable charges to reserve.

Absent, extremely unresponsive management undermines pleasant, attentive on-site staff. Management commitments regarding parking unmet, with no phone answer. . Advertised rooftop terrace, a major incentive. was closed. Room was noticeably hotter and stuffier than corridor.

The owner was so welcoming, complimentary and helpful. Always a smile, great recommendations of what to see in Antigua, delicious breakfast was included. Beds were big and comfy, water was included. We loved it!

The staff,particularly Angelica on the reception desk,were very accommodating. The location was ideal to explore Antigua Guatemal which is a fabulous destination.

The noise - the walls are very thin and you can hear everything outside your room. We had extremely loud neighbours that kept us up drinking and screaming in their room. The hotel did nothing. When we complained the owner was dismissive without being rude, and then just completely ignored my messages thereafter. Also had some problems with intermittant hot water, again dismissed by the owner. The room we had was dark and dim and should have been priced cheaper than others (perhaps it was).

Central location,great staff,love breakfast, great price

No pool

The hotel is central and close to all the action. The facilities were nice and clean, although the shower took a while to warm up which we discovered after I had a cold shower - once you know that it is fine. The staff were friendly and helpful while we were staying there.

The safe is not locked to anything and can just be picked up. There is no "Secure" luggage storage as advertised. We left our backs in the "secure" luggage storage for the day and our bags were gone through and we had several items stolen. When we spoke to the owner, unfortunatley our bags were moved to an area out of the view of the camera. Stay here but leave any of your possessions at your own risk. As the hotel has a security gate which is locked all the time I can only assume it was a staff member as we didn't see anyone else in the hotel.

Great breakfast, staff was extremely friendly and very helpful, the owner (Chris) was helpful in a hands-on way with planning, recommendations, making sure everything was just right. The beds were very comfortable and clean, the decor and design of the entire hotel was impressive and warm. Would return and recommend to others.

Beautiful rooms and incredible service. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. Included breakfast was very fresh and adequate. 2 blocks from the town center.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Casa Bella is a lovely little hotel not far from all the action in Antigua. I had been backpacking for months and I was meeting my girlfriend there after time apart...therefore justifying the splurge. Chris looked after us really well, organised a shuttle to Guatemala City, made phone calls for us since we didnt speak spanish and introduced us to his lovely family. The room was brilliant and the bed so comfortable. Fantastic experience

Wanted to stay longer!

Great rooms, shower, breakfast included. The staff and owner were always very helpful and friendly, and the owner was able to provide a lot of useful information about local bars, tourist attractions and restaurants. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this place highly

Location was nice. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and have an updated feel.

Rooms are small for the price.

We spent three nights at Casa Bella. One night upon arrival and our last two before leaving Guatemala. The hotel arranged for a car to pick us up and return us to the airport, thus avoiding spending a night in Guatemala City. Our room was very nice. Breakfast was excellent either in a cute courtyard space or up on the roof! I recommend!
