It's scorching hot in Puerto San Jose the tow I stayed in in Escuintla and there isn't much to do. I would walk only four minutes in the daytime trying to get acquainted with the town and I would be soaking wet in sweat.Very uncomfortable and tiring. Forget about running if you're a runner like me or any high physical activity in the daytime.Lots and lots of water to hydrate.I stayed cooped up in my room most of the time and put on the AC(life saver). This being said if you like it 'furnace hot' it's a good spot for you .I booked a room for 10 days and I ended up regretting it.2 would have been largely enough. There's a beach in PSJ.There's a cool breeze by the beach but it's very dirty(trash everywhere).
