I just love Marco the manager. He is personable, professional, and makes sure your stay is an enjoyable one. My husband and I have been staying there for several years on our way to San Pedro and have never been disappointed. The hotel is lovely and the photos on the web does not do it justice.

    That I couldn't stay longer.

This location does not deserve to be called a hotel ! The maximum it can be is a Guest House or a Pension. The location is very noisy , also from the street and also from the internal patio. Do not expect for a quiet sleep or rest! The breakfast is very , very poor and it's hard to get an extra bread slice or cheese ! I felt better when I left.

Just lovely. Great location right off the square, very quiet courtyard, excellent breakfast and helpful, professional staff. We had a great time and would stay again any time.

Nice little hotel. The bar in the hotel served the coolest (chilled) beer in whole Guatemala :)

Staff was most helpful arranging events and providing information. Staff made special breakfast arrangements to accommodate early departure for tours. Marco and Betty are most helpful for those of us trying to recall High School Spanish after all these years. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Shower was finicky and finding the right temp was difficult.

Best Possible location. Upscale rooms. Super helpful and friendly staff. Free drink first night. Including Johnny Walker Black label.

Price was definitely high and they add 22% taxes to already high price. They also use fairly unfavorable exchange rate. Once you get over the sticker shock - your happy to be in the best place in town.

Staff are outstanding. Always friendly, willing to help with transportation or excursion arrangements. Even prepared some food to go on a couple of days when departures were exceptionally early. Fantastic location, near the main square, restaurants and Hermano Pedro Hospital. Clean. A bit of traffic noise in the evening but very quiet overnight. Beds are comfortable. Courtyard garden is lovely. Breakfast is good. Good cocktails in chilled glasses when appropriate, with some tasty snacks which are different every day.

Had to run the hot water for a long (10 minutes) time before it reached my room. Depends which room you are in. Wifi is good in the courtyard but doesn't consistently work in all the rooms. I don't find the courtyard furniture very comfortable. Not all the roo ms have windows that open.

Location and room cleanliness really stood out. Also the extra service of coming around in the early evening and preparing the bed, etc. is a nice touch.

Bathroom door wasn't full height and is made of glass.

The location of this hotel is ideal. You are just a block from the main square and close to many restaurants and shopping. I felt very secure with the locked front gate. The room we stayed in was very quiet and nice and dark, so we slept very well. The courtyard is so beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. We really appreciated all of the staff. Marco was a huge help to us when we had to deal with some emergencies. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Not enough plugs in the room. The wifi did not work well in our room but there was a computer we could use in the courtyard.

The hotel provided a reasonably priced shuttle service from the airport in Guatemala City. They also called a cab for us at check-out and, when the driver didn't show up,the concierge drove us himself. The breakfast was delicious and included in the price. The location is perfect - just one block from Central Park. The shower was great and the bed very comfortable.

Wonderful rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast enjoyed at your leisure.

A little on the expensive side compared to other hotels in the area.

The staff at Hotel Catedral is exceedingly friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better - just a half block from the central plaza and across the street from the cooking school el frijoles feliz which we highly recommend and a block from Old Town Outfitters, guides for hiking. Olcanoes, biking and the like. The rooms are lovely- very nicely furnished with luxurious bathrooms.

The rooms were a little crowded and dark, but still really nice.
