Extremely comfortable, with all amenities. It is very expensive. The breakfast buffet was awesome and the location is perfect-Zona 10 and lots of restaurants, shopping and very safe. All the people at the front desk spoke English

The location was nice.
We had a kitchen without any silverware, plates, cups or napkins. The kitchen needed to be stocked.

I checked out at 4:15 am because my flight was at 06:00 am. So I did not carefully check the bill. Once home, I noticed that an amount of 45,3 Quetzales was mentioned on my bill for "food and beverages" ("Alimentos y bebidas"). However, I did not have any food or drinks during my staying at the hotel (not in my room, not in the restaurant). It is not an important amount (about 5 USD), but I wonder why it was charged on my bill...

Location and front desk staff
Rooms are spacious but their condition is deteriorating, they need to work on this. Staff in the restaurant is terrible. Nobody greets you at the entrance and so they're not aware of who walks in, they never come to ask you what you need and they spend most of the time talking to each other in areas where you cannot see them and where they cannot see the guests. My experience in the dining room was terrible both times I had breakfast there. Housekeeping was not responsive to requests made and my tub looked like it had not been cleaned.
The location was very central to any activities we thought were important, and the close proximity to the airport was good. We could not partake of the free breakfast, as we departed the hotel too early, but coffee was provided in the lobby. All things considered, a very good hotel that we would use again.

I use internet for business purposes. The hotels internet was very unreliable. I asked twice for the staff to work on getting my water hot for showers and the results were not acceptable I wanted to extend my stay to an additional 3 weeks. I called the front desk to inquire if they could offer me a better rate. They said they would call back and never did. I spoke to one of the managers and voiced my complaints. She listened and appeared to take notes, no customer service recovery offers were ever stated. By the way on top of all of this they still managed to charge me $5.00 for a can of 7 up soda on my bill. I was very disappointed in the customer accommodations made by the Mercure.
