The location is better than the expensive hotels on the other side of the island.
The balcony is small, but still a balcony with a great view of the water.
The front desk lady was professional and spoke decent English. The thing we liked the most about this hotel was leaving.
Our first inner courtyard room was small dirty, smelly and had no windows. In the hall at the entrance to the room was a dirty partition blocking what looked to be a pile of junk. We asked for a different room which they gave us; which at least had a window providing fresh air. However this room was also sub-par. Maybe the lake view rooms are at a whole different standard ?. But in general we found the hotel common areas cleanliness not great; thus; decided not to risk having the free breakfast.
Front desk was excellent-plus, with one exception that could have been very important but fortunately wasn't. The restaurant food was good at great prices.
We did not receive our wake-up call. Fortunately, we were already up in time for our pick-up to Tikal. The room was small and rather crowded.
Gorgeous view on the lake from the room, staff very kind and available that helped us when we had some trouble with a travel agency. Room very basic but clean and confortable
Lovely little balcony overlooking the lake. Staff were great, cant thank the lady on reception enough for helping us get to our bus after the travel agent let us down. Lovely breakfast too which they kindly let us have late one day after returning from a 3am tour to Tikal. Close to many restaurants and shops.
Nothing to dislike!
The idyllic location with stunning views across the lake
View of the lake from our balcony; very close to restaurants and bars; very close to the airport; breakfast was included; towels folded in funny shapes!!
Wifi was rather slow, but not too much; it can get noisy on saturday nights (because of the bars around); however on sunday it was really quiet;if travelling to palenque, don't take their offer, but rather directly some external agency's: they offered the trip for 350 quetzales, while san juan agency with just 260.
great location on the water pool area very nice staff
room was depressing with bad lighting and sad decor bathroom was very outdated
I like that it was close to restaurants and travel agencies. Love the night life there. Definately need to come back.
The room was small. That's the only Downside, but we only needed it to sleep.
Location was Amazing! Our room faced the lake, Staff helped us plan our trip to Tikal.
Partner described the pillows as laying on a dead dog, and after 9 hours traveling by bus from Guatemala city, the shower was quite the disappointment.
The location of this hotel is fab - very central with a great sunset view from the balconies over the lake. No nonsense no frills hotel which is reflected in the very good price. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Great little hotel--just be sure to get a room that is not along the lake. The music from the nearby restaurants and noise from tourists can be loud and go on into the night.
