Set around a charming interior courtyard, Hotel Museo Mayan Inn is located next to Chichicastenango’s Calvario Chapel. It features individually decorated rooms and a restaurant.

Hotel Utz Jay is located 2 blocks from Lake Atitlan in Panajachel. It offers lush gardens and fruit trees, a hot tub and a Mayan-style sauna filled with relaxing aromatic herbs.
Score from 104 reviews Very good
Set next to Lake Atitlán, Porta Hotel del Lago offers views of the Guatemalan Highlands. It features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace and gym.
Score from 112 reviews Good
Love the location, removed but close to restaurants, etc. The hotel grounds are lovely and the staff are very friendly, hard working and helpful. Plenty of hot water for showers which was great considering some of the more expensive hotels we stayed at in Mexico had none.
The cost of meals at hotel restaurant is high. Food is good but cost of breakfast buffet is over four times the cost of full breakfast at any of the many restaurants around the corner. The room was comfortable enough but a little austere. Bed was a little hard for us.
Room needs some refurbishing.
The television is to small
The couples masage and the location were perfect. A nice forested area in the middle of the town. Very safe and pleasant.
Nice location. Quiet, set apart from street. Nice gardens in back. Room was very spacious.
Very dark room. Very lumpy pillow. Back window did not seem to have any way to lock or secure.
Unbeatable location, right on the main street. Despite this the hotel is set back and is perfectly safe and we had no issues regarding noise.
The restaurant food was just average and overpriced
They offer thermal waters which is a good place for conversation and relaxation. Beautiful grounds which includes peacocks. Spacious beds and bathroom. Great location. Many bars and restaurants along the same street. Sufficient parking inside gates of hotel. Just a walk to the peer. Great for couples.
TV was a bit antiquated but had cable. One of the thermal water spa was extremely too hot to enter. Otherwise a great place.
Staff was very helpful.
Panajachel is rowdy and loud. The Hotel is somewhat set back and the security seems good, but you might look outside of town for a good nights rest. Definitely not the Hotel or the staff's fault.
We were in the center of everything- shops, restaurants, and a very short walk to the lake. The hotel is set back from the street and is gated at night. The landscaping is lovely and there is a hot tub and a little waterfall to cool off. The rooms themselves were very spacious. Three adults were traveling together and it was very comfortable. There was actually a 4th bed available. There was a full and half bath - very convenient.
The grounds were manicured and nice.
Staff attitude and service. No one on staff treated us with welcome. They up charged for everything. They made us feel like we were pests. Terrible. I would never recommend this place if you want to relax and feel nice.
Just spent one night at the Regis Hotel in early march. We enjoyed the location in the center of town and next to Atitrans the shuttle company we were using. The employees were amazing and gave us information on wi-fi and directions. Emanuel was great to speed up getting us in our room. I would definitely stay here again.
No lake view but a short walk from everything. Gardens very nice with peacocks and hot tubs.
Requested a bucket of ice - refused it when presented with a bill for 75 quetzals (US$10). Ridiculous.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They helped us to arrange visits to the Atitlans towns with José a very nice guide for a very good price. They also help us to arrange the visit to Chichi and then go directly to Antigua our next destination. The instalations are great a marvelous garden with mayan sauna free to use whenever you felt like as well as great thermal pools. The location is in the main street of Pana which I tought might be noisy but the rooms where very silent. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying at Pana (which is the most touristic and bussy place in Atitlan, there are other toens as Santiago an San Juan that are probably quieter and more authentic) is good valie for money.
That the wifi service was only in the living room of the hotel and that the breakfast wasn't included. Obviously an hotel in front of the lake would have been nicer but probably more expensive too.
Nice warm pool in beautiful gardens (just to sit, not for swimming). Centrally located. Change better than in exchange offices, although little available at short notice. Cheap breakfasts nearby in main street.
There are many types of rooms. Few have a good view onto the gardens.
Great historical hotel with thermal waters and spa. We enjoyed it every day of our stay. The garden is one of the best gardens in Pana.
Excellent location in Panachel; close to lake and restaurants. Lovely gardens, rooms often with patio areas and a hot tub in the garden!
The rooms vary enormously. Our friends were allocated a spacious and well appointed room. We paid the same and ours was almost cell like by comparison. We paid the same tariff. HOWEVER we complained and immediately we were given a much better room.
It's quiet, clean. Good location.
No WiFi in room that's a big advantage nowadays! The hotel's more suitable for 55+ It's like a retreat centre!
we only stayed one night as the room was dark and the bathroom was horrible and old
Beautiful grounds; centrally located. Very friendly and courteous staff. Big spacious room. Hot tub and temescal were fun; great masseuses.
No windows/view in room. Other rooms had a patio/outdoor seating area. Room one did not.
Right on the main street but very quiet location, value for money is great. Complementary spa and sauna are very nice.
- self service spa & sauna - location, right in the middle of the city - room for 6 people
- old facilities - wifi only in the lobby - no staff after 10pm
Great place to stay in Panajchel. Huge beds, big rooms, clean. beautiful gardens with free hot springs and sauna.
Excellent hotel in a very good location in town. Room was very large, and clean. Shower had good hot water and pressure. The hot spa is really nice, and they kindly adjusted the temperature to our taste. Location is perfect, right in the middle of main street, but secluded off the main road so it is quiet
Not a big deal - but wifi doesnt work very well in the rooms, just in the lobby.
Yacuzies and gardens
They made an extra charge for our 13 year old girl; we were only two adults and my girl in our room
