Regis Hotel Spa  

Loved the massage! One of the best. We went there to paint and there was plenty to paint.

I liked the outdoor area. There was a play area for children and a hammock. I liked the patio with furniture outside every room. The linens were very nice. Although I didn't drive, I thought it was nice that there was very secure parking. I liked the restaurant. I liked the bar. The wi-fi was free and reliable (although only in the community area). I loved the massage. It was cold so I asked the masseuse to bring her table to my room.

The shower did not drain. The "kitchenette" was merely a table and chairs. The hot spring was not hot at all. But the worst thing was that the first night's stay was charged to my account as pending, then after checkout the full amount was charged, but the first charge did not disappear until four days later, greatly affecting my available balance. I recommend to pay cash.

Basic but clean rooms

The first night we had a room next to a couple with a baby who cried all night. When I mentioned it to the reception, they inmediately offered to change room. They were extremely helpful with other problems as well.

Very comfortable.

Right on the main street, which is mainly a tourist venue. However, there are many rooms set far away from the noise of the street.

The Grounds and general feel of the Hotel is very good. The friendliness of the staff was good but not very forthcoming or welcoming at times.

We werent offered any insect repellent for the room(all other hotels we stayed had provided this) There was no 24 hour service desk which meant we couldnt ask for insect repellent upon our return to the hotel at 2200hrs We had a long wait at the gate the guard was on the phone and opened the gate once he had finished his conversation, didnt even apologise for the wait.

Regis hotel is right on the main street in Panajachel. The rooms were clean, but it smelled very musty in our rooms. The gardens and Spa area are unbelievably beautiful and are not at all what you'd expect in a Hotel of this value. The staff were nice and there was a fair ability to communicate in English. The breakfast in their restaurant was quite excellent.

There was a lot of band practice or performances going on through the day. This may be because the Guatemalan independence day was very soon and they were preparing, but it was very noisy for some of that time. That being said, you hear little from the street.

The location was excellent , walking distance to the lake and the shopping....

This was a gem of a hotel, bang in the middle of Pana, with clean, spacious rooms kept naturally comfortable without a.c. or even fan, and the hot spa pools in the garden are fabulous - just when you thought you couldn't be more relaxed... The telly in the room didn't always have the best picture, but you don't go to Panajachel to be concerned about what's on TV. We didn't have breakfast included, which was fine as we were often up early to do things and there are plenty of options on the streets.

Reservé desde diciembre porque quería tener la mejor habitación. El día de ingreso llegué bien temprano, unas 2 horas antes y no me recibieron. Cuando llegué me dieron la habitación de la entrada, nada cómoda porque había ruido exterior. ¿Para eso había hecho la reservación con anterioridad y llegado bien temprano? Finalmente me dieron una habitaciòn intermedia. No la mejor. Que pena por mi y mi familia. Creo que no me volvería a hospedar ahí.

No nos ha gustado la atencion de alguna personas personas que trabajan en el hotel.

Chambres situées dans des maisonnettes dispersées dans un parc à la végétation luxuriante avec deux petites piscines d'eau chaude thermale, bien situées dans le village ; des croissants (mais oui) au petit déjeuner : incroyable !

Personal war nicht das freundlichste, wir kamen um 9 uhr morgens an, obwohl einige zimmer frei waren, liess man uns bis zur checkin zeit warten, bekamen das zimmer sogar erst gegen 15:30. Die zimmer sind schon ein bisschen abgewohnt, vor allem das bad. matratzen etwas durchgelegen.

No me alojaron en este, cuando llegue me trasladaron a otro.

Reservé 2 habitaciones dobles vía booking.com y al llegar al hotel me dijeron que no habían habitaciones disponibles. Qué extraño. Me imagino que alguien cometió algún error. A cambio por el mismo precio nos trasladaron al Porta Hotel pero nosotros queríamos estar hospedarnos el el Regis Hotel. El Hotel Porta a pesar de dar muy buen servicio no es lo que queriamos.
