Good location, excellent views over the water and nice swimming pool.
Rooms were drab, breakfasts not special, just not up to the standard of other hotels we stayed in in Guatemala
We arrived at the hotel at 4:30am after travelling 8hrs by bus from Guatemala City. We did not expect to be able to check-in until the afternoon but the hotel was incredibly kind and provided us a key on arrival - I cannot tell how welcomed that was! We had a lovely stay at Hotel Santana.
Room overlooking the water. Accessible.
The woman at the front desk was so unhelpful it was ridiculous. Everything was a trouble to her. Don't they expect people staying to ask for the wifi code or a map of the general area?? It was like we were asking for her first born. She couldnt be bothered and that affected our stay. The wifi here is terrible too.
I loved the location, the pool was great and eating at the restaurant overlooking the lake was beautiful.
David who works at the front desk and helps book tours etc. booked us a bus from Flores to Belize City. We were concerned about the bus because we had read a lot online about certain bus companies with bad reviews. He couldn't tell us the name of the bus line we were going to take and promised us that it would be the newest bus on the island with air conditioning. He lied. The bus didn't have AC, it was super dirty and old and the bus line ended up being San Juan, which we wanted to avoid. I should say that we booked our tour to Tikal with David at the hotel and that was fine, but don't trust him to be honest with you about a bus ride to Belize City.
Aircon didn't work and they were very disinterested on sorting it out. Had to make a fuss which shouldn't have been necessary. Would not recommend. Mistakes can be made..it's how you sort them out that counts
Good location with large balconies with great views over the lake.
Staff unhelpful. Decoration and ambiance generally very poor.
Good location, no problem with car parking in front of the hotel
Prices in restaurant is little bit too expensive comparing with food what they are presenting
Loved that hotel. Staff was friendly, location of the hotel was awesome. We stayed there two nights and we arrived late but they were able to book us a ride to Tikal for the next day. Food in the restaurant was good and the lake view from our was perfect.
The staff was very helpful and kind.
Hotel very close to nighttime action but just far enough away to be quiet. Small pool appreciated on a hot day. Street food market at sunset was great. Hotel is on SW corner of island and streets were dry; lakeside streets on north and east side of Flores were flooded - would avoid hotels on N or E shores.
The location is great. On the water, at the edge of town. Easy in, easy out. Great sunset views for the rooms facing the water. We enjoyed our night there after spending way too much to stay in Tikal
We had a room with a balcony and view of the lake, which was very pleasant, particularly in the morning, before the sun was beating on it. It was too hot to enjoy in the afternoon, but we enjoyed beautiful sunset views. The room had air conditioning which was one of the big plusses of this hotel, as it was tremendously hot in Flores. The location was terrific.
This was a step above a hostel, but had much of the same flavor as one. It was pretty bare bones--we did get towels and a bar of soap, but that was it for amenities. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was because of the pool. On our second day, when we returned from Tikal and were all set to cool off, we discovered that the pool was empty and being worked on. That was a disappointment. Overall, it had me wondering if there was a nicer place to stay in Flores.
A/C was fantastic. Shower was good. Bed was Comfortable. WIFI is good.
The hotel is very noisey. Get a room away from the main staircase as both footsteps and voices echo in the main hallway. Bed Spread was not clean. Staff spoke only Spanish.
great veiw from the room. good location
The bathroom must have been infested with mold. Smelled absolutely terrible.
The balcony bada lovely view. Nice place for a couple.
Close to town The cleanning staff was really great!
The beds were pretty small & not comfortable The wifi was down the whole time we were there.
Loation was perfect. Hotel staff didn't spoke much english, but was very friendly and helpful. We booked a minibus to Tikal, which was really good value for money.
food quality and waiting time to get breakfast
This hotel is rated a 4 star but I'm not so sure... Whilst the location perfect, the rooms felt tired. Had a huge balcony facing the Lake which helped redeem itself!
Staff were not that helpful, nor friendly.
Nice lake view and spacious balcony.
Reception staff can speak English very little.
The restaurant staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The front desk staffs speak limited English, seems not as friendly as the restaurant staff.
We booked for three nights, on the 3rd morning, before we got up, someone using a key opened ourdoor while we are still sleeping. Later, I talked to front desk about the incident, they told me they didnot know.
i can see sunset from the room.
i do not like noise from the restaurant.
Great view of Lake Peten from the balcony. Appreciated the 2 double beds in the room. Hot water in the showers was good.
The staff were rather unfriendly and blunt.
Hotel, lakeside, air-conditioning, cleanliness
Each and every American paper dollar rejected for the tiniest ( and I mean tiniest) tear or flaw. Eventually, had no money that passed inspection!
