Scattered across a vast 150,000 square feet of historic Dutch plantation, Aracari Resort is 20 minutes away by car from Downtown Georgetown. Decorated with tiled floors, rooms at Aracari Resort feature seating areas with DVD players and wicker armchairs. A continental breakfast is served daily at a fee. Guests can taste creole specialties at the restaurant, or have a drink at the poolside bar. They can also make use of the common BBQ facilities. Volleyball and basketball courts are featured in the garden. Guests can get fit in the gym, relax by the pool or enjoy themselves with the jumping bed. Free parking is provided. The staff at Aracari Resort was very pleasant and helpful. They were very responsive to my questions. Very friendly from the front desk to the bar and restaurant. The condition of the property left a lot to be desired. The food at the restaurant was fair for breakfast and somewhat skimpy. No cold beverage was served--only coffee and tea which I do not drink. I was able to buy a sugar fruit beverage, but not actual fruit juice. The distance from the center of Georgetown was a disadvantage and limited trips into the city. The TV did not offer a good picture (it looked like cable TV) and on the second evening there were no channels available. Overall, the physical condition of the facility was marginal.

Smiley staff Total rip-off for such standard of accommodation. Ridiculous blasting so-called music till early hours in the morning, sea of broken bottle glass all over the ground, no internet in rooms despite boasting otherwise...but they did do it with a smile...

I really thought that it was in Georgetown Guyana but it is not. Why I chose Aracari resort was because of the misleading add. Your add said's Georgetown Guyana but it is 160 plantation Versailles t West Bank Demerara, Guyana.

Proximity to area of Guyana where family activity was taking place. Staff do their best to assist with any problem. Drinks are very reasonably priced at the bar. Basic by internatioanl standards. If you have an understanding of life and local culture in Guyana this location is quite adequate and has a good pool and is fairly priced. If you are looking for a resort to internatioanl standard levels of provision this may not be for you but then again the price takes this into account.

the staff was very helpful. the room was quit spaceous and comfortable enough the menu list was quite limited and the presence of pets in the breakfast area was not pleasant.
