Score from 1039 reviews Very good
Location is very good. Easy walk down the street to the entertainment regions of Soho and Lan Kwai Fong or the touristy site Man Mo Temple. Easy walk also top get public transport as Sheung Wan MTR station is very close as is the main tram. The Macau-Ferry terminal, Star Ferry Terminal and Hong Kong Station to get the Airport Express are also short driving distance away. The rooms from a far may look “glamorous” although maybe a touch over the top. The staff were prompt in responding to emails weeks before my stay, including specifying the differences in the types of rooms as seen from their website, and enabling me to come to a decision about which room type/style I wanted which they both clarified and confirmed with me, so what ending up eventuating was most disappointing.
I arrived to this hotel by Taxi, and the driver was waving and tooting his horn to get the staff’s attention to open the door and assist with luggage. Eventually he was annoyed and had to go in and tell them himself to come out. I did not think a big deal of this but it was a small sign of what was to come. When I got to reception they claimed they were extremely busy and full up so can’t give me the room which I booked on Bookimg.com and discussed/confirmed with them via email. Instead of a double-bed they pushed two single beds together. It was most uncomfortable. There were butterfly clips attached to pillows, which looked nice, but I removed to sleep. Unfortunately next day the cleaner rather annoyingly attached them again. The room walls were thin so I could hear conversations and TV from other rooms. But what was most annoying was the position of the sink/basin in the room. Some of their rooms have it near the bed or bench areas where you make tea/coffee others have them inside the bathroom itself. I wanted the latter and this is what we discussed prior to booking. For hygiene reasons I do not like bathrooms with no sink to wash your hands post going to toilet. People have to come out and touch everything to wash them. When I complained about this, a lady from reception rang and was a bit confused. She claimed all rooms had a bathroom, and wanted to help me find it. I knew where the bathroom was, it was obvious when you walk into the room. So communication with staff and understanding was another issue. Some tried to help where they could, others were confused, and some plain rude and abrupt. One was rude when I asked what the checkout time was. In the morning there was a note under my door to call reception, which I did. They apologised for mix-up and said they should have proper rooms available that day and I can change to what I wanted and booked.
The price, nothing else was available in this price range. The room was spacious and not just by HK standards. The place was immaculately clean. The wifi was fast (which is a norm in HK). I has moved from a cheap hotel to this place. And I liked it very much.
The location was excellent as it is close to bus, tram and MTR routes so getting about on public transport was very easy. Room was comfortable and the recent 'theme' revamp works.
Shower in bathroom needs to be upgraded and is cheap. When you turn it off or change water pressure the shower head falls out of holder and lands on floor. No storage space so living out of suitcases.
Staff were most helpful
Room was a bit cramped
Location is great. Rooms are very small. Rooms are getting a little old looking. Fridge didn't work very well.
Location. The reception staff tried to help but we're not very good at communication. Looking a little tired and knocked around needs some work.
Location: Not a stonethrow away from the MTR. Have to walk up a slope/stairs to get to the hotel, therefore, unsuitable for the elderly or people with joint issues. Staff: Very helpful and friendly Surroundings and environment: Don't have to worry about hunger pangs because there's a 7-eleven around the corner. Also, there are cafés and restaurants nearby. Definitely crowded during lunch hour since it's very near the Central Business District.
Walls are pretty thin because you'll know when your neighbour is showering or washing his/her hands. Aircon compressor is pretty noisy if there's one outside your room. Solution: If you're a light sleeper, prepare ear plugs.
Price, location excellent. Room is for sleeping only after eating, drinking and exploring. Value for money excellent.
No ramp for cases from reception to lifts only stairs ...a real hassle if you're bag is heavy.
LOCATION WAS GOOD
ROOM IS TOO SMALL, I CAN SMELL RESTROOM. SMALL WINDOW
Movie themed hotel corridors
Tiny hotel room - small double bed and blanket, no meal option
For sure location is the best of what this hotel can offer. Nice, open view to the city, from 20th floor.
Tiny room, house keeping not very detailed about keeping room clean- for 2 days on a room they didn't pick up trash next to bed. Lobby has no character, heavy door do not welcome to come in. Rooms feel really old.
Friendly stuff, good location, amazing rooms. Just cute!
The staff were excellent.
A little inconvenient for taxi pickup and drop off, but not a big deal
Room was clean/big bathroom with toilet/big plasma/twin bed was OK / good staff, excellent location
Small room, but it's for all hotels in HKG, because real estate very expensive/ wifi in the room a bit slow
Very nice boutique hotel! Fancy, great location, great and friendly staff!!!
Nice place, nearest the centre and the middle level escalator. Room was ok, not so very big.
wifi was terrible...
Location Great wifi
Smells of smoke Old decor Bad pillows
Location was good, staff friendly, hotel clean and comfortable
walls very thin so I could hear my neighbours talking, then later snoring. I'm not a light sleeper so I was ok, but this would bother most people.
Location of the Hotel is at Central
Bedroom had very strong smell of the toilet and dampness. There were no opportunities for the airing of the room, the smell stays within the room. Also difficult to get a taxi from the hotel entrance.
Just location. Wifi is good.
The room was booked through B.com, with window-side to town. When we've entered the room, there were NO window. After some sparring with the staff, who said us there were no rooms any more, they suggested us a new one smaller with window. Towels were not changed during some days, just accurately made like new ones. Until we asked to renew them specially at reception. Sound isolation is bad and you can hear everything your neighbors do.
Real value for money.. Excellent helping staff..
Good position helpful
Location was quiet. Checkin was smooth.
WiFi in room wasn't good, it kept getting out.
I like the theme of the room. The design is quite nice. Wifi works really well. Nice staff. The location is right next to the central, it is easy to go anywhere. I will strongly recommend this to my friends
