The hotel is very clean and the staff in general are polite and helpful. www.booking.com should inform their customers that this hotel is located next to a cemetery. And if the hotel guests wish not to have a view of this cemetery, then upgrading which means paying a lot more is required. I paid about HK$13,000 more for a month stay. The choice of upgrading is either a higher room which is way above the cemetery where one can see greens (so do not look down) or a room on the other side of the hotel which has the view of a football field and small highway. It is very noisy as the traffic junction is right next to the hotel and Hong Kong being a place that never sleeps, one can hear the traffic noise 24 hours. It's like jumping out of the frying into the fire and at a higher paid price. It is not fair that guests should be paying more not to have the cemetery view as we are not at fault that the hotel is located next to the cemetery!! And it is amazing how the hotel receptionists immediately recommend the upgrading issue as if they are doing the guests a favour. The Chinese Restaurant serve food way below the standard of a 4 or 5 star hotel. The Dim Sum they serve is something one can buy from a pack off the local supermarket. I can safely say this as I have lived in Hong Kong for more than 20 years. The daily breakfast is the same everyday except for an occasional switch between noodles and fried rice. The staff at the restaurant talked loudly across to each other and made comments of guests who stay long. I suggest that guests do not buy the breakfast deal as the local shops down the road serve good congee and other food for breakfast. And they are much cheaper!!! The internet service in the room and movie channels are so expensive. And don't make any local calls - it is a rip off - local calls are free in Hong Kong. Most hotels now offer free internet service in the room. I stayed in one, City Garden Hotel in North Point. And it is near the MTR station thus easier to get around than Cosmopolitan.

for myself, there is no problem to stay at this hotel which it won't bother me to have a room next to a cemetary because my roon is on the 23rd higher floor. I like to stay at this hotel, at least it's clean and quiet.

Price We were initially placed in a room that backed onto the main lift shaft. Despite suffering with jet lag, both my wife and I had a terrible nights sleep. However the next day the hotel quite happily moved us to another room. If you get a room number ending in 27, ask for another!

The hotel staffs are helpful and friendly in clearing our doubts and always there to assist us 24/7 during our stay. The room are always clean whenever we return back to the hotel and its gave us a cozy feel especially when we get a room with a view looking over at the race course. In fact, I was pretty worry before the trip when I discovered that the hotel is located next to the cemetery; yet, upon entering the hotel and room, my friends and I have totally forgotten the thoughts of staying next to a cemetery due to the nice ambiance of the hotel and the good services provided. The overall experience of my stay was really awesome and definitely worth the value of money.

I was travelling with three kids aged 16, 13 and 10. This is a great hotel for families with kids/teens. We could all share one room, which saved us money (two large queen beds), and there was a wonderful breakfast buffet included in the price. The kids loved this. The concierge staff were always happy to help with advice, directions, bookings, etc. And the location was good for Ocean Park, the Peak, Repulse Bay, the Ferry Terminal, etc. (all a short taxi ride away). Times Square, a big mall, just 8 mins walk away. It was a very busy location, between two major roads, and the noise of the traffic could be heard from our 11th floor room. But we had the a/c on at night and didn't traffic didn't both us. Not a big problem.

Desk staff is good fluent in english hotel lobby is clean and good aircon facilities the comfort room is very nice & clean I suggest that the food serving for breakfast should change everyday, most probably serve vegetarian, likewise I observed that after close hour time for breakfast, the waiter or waitress must be more polite to ask the guest if they still want to get food, since its our closetime, they must be more polite. Also as what I observed they have discrimination between asian & europe people. Cosmopolitan hotel is nice & clean, but the family room I mean the area is too narrow for us, since my sons is already big enough, but the matrimonial bed is okey.I Noticed that the hotel is quite far from shopping mall. Also a bit expensive. I do suggest that inside the room you have a free wifi, coz its very inconvenient to stay in the lobby rather than inside the room.

There is a shuttle from the Airport Express terminal station at Central. The hotel is not really close to the mtr station, so if you are staying on business and planning to use the mtr, better chose another hotel, or try the hotel shuttle, which is not so frequent. There is no convenient store close by. The internet in the room is not for free and costs greatly.

The only problem of this hotel is the location not near a mtr station in hk. The schedule of the shuttle are not convinient : first we had to wait for the next shuttle since the queue was too long when we arrived at the departure at the hotel and the first shuttle was completely ful ; not enough trips from the hotel to the mtr and veice versa.

The staff were very helpful and professional so if problems occured they did their best to sort them out quickly with common sense. It was not the best location for hong Kong but catered well to families and their shuttle service made up for the location, very good value for money, good breakfast but a bit monotonous for me as I spent over a week there.I Would reccommend this hotel. I have stayed in Hong Kong many times and I prefer Kowloon or Central but I still think anywhere in Hong Kong is Ok as Taxis are cheap, The hotel shuttle service was a good service but not always often enoiugh to be convenient and not always reliable. The hotel was not walking distance from train station or convenience stores, laundry prices were way too much.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Felt that the rooms were a little small, but that everything we needed was available. The window in our room was opaque and we did not have a view, this did not concern us, as there is so much to do in Hong Kong rather than just look out of the window! However would be interested to know why it was opaque. All the staff that we had contact with were very efficient and professional and we much appreciated the help from the concierge for shipping items to Wales. In summary a very efficient friendly hotel. looking forward to our next visit! Would prefer free wifi in the guest rooms as the free wifi only in the lobby meant that the lobby was crowded

Room is spacious compared with others within hk. A bit far if walking back from mtr, but hotel provides with shuttle between Hotel and Times Square. Tram & bus stop in front of hotel, quite convenient. We booked 2 family rooms and asked for same floor, but hotel staff didn't provide us with connection rooms, claimed only upon request. Staff can be more sensitive and considerate.

Originally booked an Executive Family Quadruple Room, was pleasantly upgraded to a junior suite with a view of the Hong Kong jockey club. 4 star hotel with 5 star service. Food is excellent as well. No pools though and interestingly located beside a cementery. The hotel offered shuttle service to different points in Hong Kong and Kowloon. About 15 - 20 minutes walk to the nearest MTR station, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. Nearest convenience store would be 5 - 7 minutes away. Free wifi is only available in the lobby and restaurant.

We had a lovely view from the top floor, and plenty of room for family of 5 to move even with 2 queen size beds in the room. Beds were a little too firm, but we still slept no problem.

“The hotel has a perfect location. Majority of the rooms are facing the harbor and has a great view of Tsim Shat Siu. Metro statin is in 5 min walking distance. Tram is also in 5 min walking distance. The hotel is located within 5 min walking to Star Ferry as well as the bus station. 18 and 18P buses stop right in front of the hotel which makes it easy to travel within the city. The room is in good size for two people. Beds are very comfortable. Complimentary tea/coffee set-up, a kettle and one bottle of complimentary water is available and replcaed every day. Breakfast is satisfactory for a western traveller. They also have varieties of Chinese cuisine. Godo value for money if you make your booking in advance.” Sen, Istanbul |
