Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong  

They let us use 1 room for our family, room was comfortable

They added 10% 'service charge' to our bill, I didn't read the booking small print so it was a surprise, I think they (and booking.com) should quote the full price and they charge something like hk$125 per day for wifi, expensive these days so the combined bill was hk$500 more than we expected and made the whole proposition less attractive

All pre-booked and pre-paid before the 17 April 2012. Arrived at desk and was asked for $1200 HK as a deposit and my credit card to confirm my booking. Give them what they need. Came back to the UK from HK on the 24 April 2012. Looked at my bank statement and saw they have double charged me on the 17 April. Refunded back to me on the 23 April but with approx. £55 less because of the difference exchange rate. Because they have double charged me my bank account was left with no money O/D which creates an additional £5 overdraft fee from Lloyds TSB. I am requesting a £60 refund about a week ago and they are trying to blame the matters to the bank they use (Still not refund anything to me) Email their Financial Department no reply by email. Got a phone call from their customer department, trying to tell me it was the bank fault. That has nothing to do with me. They should deal with their bank later and refund the difference to me right away. The room I booked was for 3 people in a Deluxe Triple Room with City View, but they have given me a room which could just about fitted 3 single bed, there is no City View. The hotel is not located close to MTR, need to take buses or taxi. You need to pay for WiFi in the rooms except at the Lobby. There is nothing great about this hotel after what I have experienced.

Location! Great location, tram stop over the road, as was happy valley racecourse, very friendly & helpfull staff. Room was a good size for hong kong.

Mainly the price although location finally was not bad (it was first time in HK) Breakfast was good

For this price I would have expected bigger rooms : we were 4 in a room usually for 2 ! For 4 persons, needs in electrical socket were poorly fullfilled. TV didn't work

Attentive staff in the lobby.They have a scale for luggage. They give you 2 litters of water every day in your room. Free wifi in lobby so you have bring your laptop to access the internet. Nothing close to hotel. Have to walk at lease 10 to 15 minutes to get to a restaurant but by that time your pretty close to the Causway bay mtr station where there are a lot of shops..

No free internet. Althought air conditioner was on, it did not get rid of the hunidity in the room. Walk was too far form mtr station althought they do have a shuttle bus to times aquare but only up to 9:00 P.M. Gym consist of three threadmills. Price doesn't make up for location and amenities of the hotel. Would try Holiday Inn express at Time Square next time.

Service was great, view is good... depending on which side you are facing (On one side the view is fantastic... the other... well you face a Muslim cemetery)... Location was awkward (Short walking distance to Times Square... if you know where you are going)

The Cosmopolitan Hotel met all my expectations. The location was perfect and very close to many of the facilities. The shuttle service around the Hong Kong Island was the best I have encountered and made our holiday that more special . The staff was always friendly and extremely helpful. I believe that the Cosmopolitan Hotel had left a lasting impression on my family and I believe will return to the Cosmopolitan Hotel again.

The breakfast room was a bit small but is manageable.

The hotel was very good value and very well located for the price with excellent service for what I required.

I thought the dining room a bit small and a bit of a scrummage for breakfast - but that really wasn't a great problem, just a comment.
