The location of the guesthouse was excellent. After you got used to the downstairs busy market I felt safe and enjoyed being in the hustle and bustle. The room, although small, was the cleanest I've stayed in, and the facilities such as laundry were very easy to use and free. Great value for money, we would definitely stay again.

There could have been more signs to direct us when we first arrived, and as there is no lift to this floor so you have to use the stairs. This is ok and there has been some effort to improve the stairs on this floor but the stairway in general is very dirty and smelly and gives you a bad first impression.

The location is fantastic , several minutes walk to promenade , ferries etc. The rooms are reasonably clean and sized (in terms of HK :-)). The stuff (Mr. Yeung) is nice and cooperative. Considering the principle "you get what you pay for" , this is the best budget option possible.

The bathroom is very small: tiny sink and hardly a place for the shower: we had to take shower while standing above the toilet. The hostel is located on 17-th floor , while elevator goes to 16-th floor only - you'll have to climb one floor. Actually , the elevator is the most painful issue: during peak hours you'll have to stand in line for 15-20 min. The neighborhood consists of people from all over the globe.

This is a fairly good place. Rooms are tiny (which is quite normal in HK) but clean, and location is great. Good value for money

At the entrance many Indians trying to sell you their things...quite annoying.

Location (cloth to the metro, restaurants... Everything you need is around), free wifi, clean, calm, nice staff, free water

The elevator... It's quicker to take the stairs to go down :)

The staff were helpful and friendly. the room is small but very comfortable and always clean. The guesthouse is always secured with lock and the room has double locks. I felt secured and safe as a single lady staying in the mansion. it is value for money. food can found everywhere especially i love indian food. laundry services are also found in the mansion.

There is no direct lift on this floor so need to climb staircases, the lighting were poor.

The cleanest and nicer Guest house in the Chungking Mansions. Room cleaned almost everyday. Great location, near MTR station exits

The Guest House is on the 17th, but the elevator stops at the 16th. The ground floor is full of dealers that can be annoying. The time waiting for the elevator.

Excellent value for money. Very clean and free wifi in the room. Good location (near subway and Kowloon ferry)

If you don´t know what is a HK guesthouse, please check before. If you don´t know what are the Chungking Mansions, please DO check it too! Rooms are tiny (normal size for HK); don´t expect a 24h reception; only one elevator for this floor (in rush hour one can wait 30/40min); ground floor is...unique.

Downtown location. The staff are really nice

waiting time for the elevator is endless "specifically at night" The building is old, entrance smell bad. At night there is always a bunch of people"non locals" just standing in front of the building, they are not harmful but also not pleasant to see them there staring at you. The elevator doesn't go to the last floor, so there is one more floor to climb

Excellent location nearby the MTR and the harbor. The hotel also provides dispenser and sharing fridge which is very good. The room though tiny but so calm and peaceful, I always had a solid sleep during my stay there.

The access to reach the 17th floor.

The hostel was much better than I expected having read all the reviews. We got a room in a new part of the hostel, it was very simple, but quite spacious for Hong Kong and very clean. The location is perfect to explore the city.

The only disadvantage is that it is located in the building with many indians and may take time to wait for elevator. But we left in the morning and came back late, so it wasn't a problem. You should also walk from 16th to 17th floor and the stair are not very nice. If you want budget room and location in TST is important, it is a good choice.

I had lost my mobile and the staff let me use their telephone all I wanted. The other customers seemed friendly

No soap in the bathroom. Toilet would not flush properly. I had to wait ages to use the lift so I could access the hotel. The lift was cramped and could only take 5 people at a time. The hotel was on the 17th floor and the lift only went to the 16th. The pillows were not soft. My room was cleaned every other day. It said in the advert that there was 24 hour reception when there was not. But at least there was someone on duty when I arrived.

Clean, tidy, awesome location, central to everything

Location (ghetto, dodgy curries around), had to walk up one level coz the lift didn't reach there.

Excellent value for money. Tiny room but air condtioned and very clean. I was allowed to stay in my room for free after checkout deadline

Maybe ground floor of the building is not that encouraging.

    Room reasonably clean

Absolutely not suitable for women traveling alone. There is no reception at night, the room is having a bathroom-style lock and the hotel is located on the 17th floor in the Chungking mansions, one of the most awful places I have seen in my life. Just google the name to learn more. NOT recommended for women traveling on their own.
