I liked the fares and the fact that it is opposite the light rail which made the travelling into other parts of Hong Kong easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I appreciated the shuttle from and to the airport which made it easy for first time travelers. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food. All in all we had a wonderful time and although I did not make use of all the facilities available like the spa etc., I enjoyed the swimmingpool and especially the cleanliness of it.

Big and comfortable room. Ginza Mall next door is convenient for getting necessities and food. A little far to city area (40mins to Tsim Sha Tsui) although there are shuttle services provided. Also, internet charges are payable.

Location - advertising doesn't meet the reality - nothing to do - hotel in a small shopping centre in the middle of nowhere among concrete jungle living blocks - no nature - no relaxing - pool was closed - required room not available - distance to city was much longer than said - hotel had no atmosphere - good for back packers and business guest who only wanna sleep somewhere

This was my fourth stay at Harbour Plaza Resort City as it is close to where my family lives. The hotel is excellent value for money - the rooms are large, light, airy, very comfortable and clean. There is a beautiful pool which I used regularly. In spite of being an hour from Central, the hotel is right at a light rail stop and many bus routes and it is very easy to get around the New Territories as well as travel in to Hong Kong island. It is also adjacent to several shopping malls. There are one or two things that let this excellent hotel down. The restaurant only serves lunch and evening meals at the weekend, the poolside area is not adequately cleaned and the poolside furniture badly needs replacing as well as added to with more comfortable loungers and more umbrellas. There is also no facility for buying any food or drink at the poolside. This is a shame as the pool itself is really beautiful. The hotel caters for large tour groups that arrive late at night. I stayed for over two weeks and by the end was very glad to leave behind the extreme noise disturbance in the corridors in the middle of the night! The lack of free WiFi is particularly outmoded and the lack of cable or satellite tv also surprising in this day and age.

Room was clean and good range of toileteries were provided Confusion and long wait for airport shuttlebus service-I was very tired after long flight and needed to sleep.Bed was very hard and difficult to sleep in. I would have appreciated a cup of English tea but there was no milk or tea bag provided for this.

-- Overall opinion: Hotel is very comfortable at a low price; worth to stay even for a longer period. --- To be more precise: (A) Staff very friendly and willing to help, (B) restaurants and shops within walking distance (< 3 min), (C) close to public transport: bus terminal roughly 500m away, light rail and taxi station in front of hotel, (D) hotel offered an airport shuttle at 90 HKD each person. Be aware: if you do not have too heavy luggage, you can also take the public E34 bus which is much cheaper (~ 15 HKD). (E) Roughly 60 min away from Hong Kong island by means of public transport. Tip: Take bus 60X to Jordan at the bus terminal. (A) Hotel shuttle not very frequent (only 1 per hour), (B) air-conditioning cannot really be triggered by hand and maintains temperature constantly low, (C) mattress very hard, (D) bathroom was reasonably comfortable, but modernization (e.g. wall tiles) is necessary in due time.

Staff was helpful. I chose this hotel based on the fact that they had an airport shuttle and was affordable but did not look further into it, I simply wanted a quick place to sleep while on transit after 20 hours of non-stop travel. At the airport no signs are available to inform when the shuttles will come. They only come once an hour, the shuttle takes nearly an hour. It took me 2 hours to get to the hotel. They also charge for the hotel which is not very obvious from the website - it would have been better for my purposes to stay at a more expensive hotel closer to the airport. This hotel charges for buffet (~12usd), internet (~20usd/24 hours), (~15usd/shuttle) - basically the initial price is affordable but unless you have other reasons to be in Harbour City it's probably not worth it.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable- Staff very friendly and helpful- Shuttle bus was excellent considering that the hotel is a bit far from Hong Kong Central- The hotel is also well connected by public transport to go anywhere you want, it just take a longer time to get there, but it's a good experience. Considering January was quite cold, the hotel lobby and rooms need an improvement in the air conditioning. It was a bit unpleasant to be cold while having breakfast or relaxing in the lobby. There's no free Wi-Fi, but having any consumption at the bar or daily breakfast you can get free internet at the lobby for the hole day.

It is too far from any well known town in Hong Kong. If you want to get away from busy town, Harbour Plaza Resort City is good. Shuttle bus provided to Hankow Road.

The 2012 International Conference on Government, Law and Culture was held in the hotel. The cultural environments of the hotel and its surroundings are friendly and very peaceful. 1. There is no free internet. 2. There is no free shuttle. I paid 100 HKD for the bus. 3. There was no heater in the first room I was assigned to, which was in 27th floor. It was extremely could and I had to move my belongings to another tower without any help from the staff who kept watching me!!. 4. Service charges are worse than paying taxes in the US or Europe: They are very much high!!

Staff come over as sincerely friendly more than most hotel staff in hk. Breakfast is very good value. The room size was as described with a separate sitting area and a movable screen to a large firm bed. I took 2 hours to visit the wetland park having visited Mai Po Marshes in 1979. It is a very good educational experience for children and does provide an opportunity to photograph birdlife for those with 600mm lenses and above but real ornithologists should contact the authorities to get controlled access to the conservation area. The tour groups are mainly from the emerging middle classes of Asean, Korea and the People's Republic of China. They and their children are well behaved but they are mainly on the 3 star tour and tend to treat the idea of greeting someone in English as an embarrassment best avoided, so may seem unfriendly when in fact they are not. Some of the fittings, though solid and safe may not have been fitted to the same standard as in more upmarket hotels, but the finishings are in solid wood and quite pleasing. The Mass Rapid Transit does take about 30 minutes to Hung Hom and you may want to go there or to Tuen Mun to get a seat. The Light Rail is frequent. Get an Oyster if you are going to use this frequently. The Hotel's shuttle costs about the same as the rail fare.

Competitive price and cleaniess. The hotel also provide warm air- conditioner selection but we preferred to switch off. The tv could not be operated by remote for channel button. Only two pillows on the beds and they were too flat so we felt uncomfortable in breathing. We must fold the pillows to minimize the uncomfort on our chests. The two extra pillows place inside the cabinet should have been placed on the bed to let customers know the pillow covers have been changed as well. We didn't use the extra pillows because we worried about the cleaniess of the pillow cover.

This is our second anniversary trip to Hong Kong and we decided to not really expect anything at all since our last year's trip was just kinda okay since we stayed in a guesthouse for a week thinking we were able to save more but this trip was by far the most fun and memorable in just 3 days. The hotel is located in New territories and is a bit far from the city but its perfect for us because we wanted something peaceful and not that crowded. We didnt expect that this trip was greater than last years. The room was great, we were very happy with the facilities, the service and the staff. Our room view was very nice :) we had a king size bed, the room was very clean, we had our own tv, fridge, microwave, water heater, and best part was the bathroom was bigger than our room last year :) Me and my husband wanted to move in hk after last years trip but then I changed my mind when we got home after the not so good experience last year, but now after having experiencing this trip, I am back home now and havent changed my mind so probably we will move to hk soon. We will definitely stay in this hotel the next time we comeback. Thanks to Harbour Plaza Resort City. Hmmmm nothing we have nothing bad to say about the hotel, it was far from the city which was great because it was peaceful.

The room we stayed was very spacy and comfortable. Hotel staff are very helpful and kind although some of them did not speak English that well. There is a shopping mall next to it so it was nice. There are shuttle buses for airport and disney land as well. It was not that bad at all. We would like to stay there again if we have chance in the future. The Internet service was not free.
