Harbour Plaza Hong Kong

Harbour Plaza Hong Kong was a lovely hotel. I paid for an upgrade for a room with a seaview and the view was beautiful. The staff was excellent; spoke good English and very courteous and helpful at all times. The location was very good especially as the hotel provided a shuttle bus to Shim Sha Tsui. I would stay there again if I can afford it.

The only downside for us was the cost. We paid approx £120.00 for a room with a seaview. We also found the hotel slightly tight on the toiletries.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very smart and impressive in the public areas and the rooms are well appointed and immaculately clean. We had a superb view over the harbour and the view from the rooftop pool terrace is fantastic.

My wife would have liked an iron and ironing board in the room.

Everything! It was real luxury with very friendly and attentive staff. The room was fantastic with amazing views of the harbour, a huge bed, and beautiful bathroom. No faults at all.

We enjoyed our stay - the views from the harbour side rooms are amazing. Very helpful and accommodating staff. On arrival the Porter paid for our taxi fare as we did not have small bank notes with us until such time that we changed to smaller notes and reimbursed him. One day we requested medical assistance, the Manager speedily arranged for this and a very helpful and pleasant doctor arrived within the hour, examined my wife and even had the required drugs with him to administrate immediately. Reception staff was also very helpful and pleasant. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The view is very good. Close to train to China mainland.

The immediate surrounds are nice, however freeways and overpasses block access for a long walk.

The overall service provided was excellent and as expected from a 5* hotel in Asia. Location was just outside TST but proximity to Hung Hom ferry pier and easy inexpensive transport in HK meant this was not an issue.

Only quibble (slight) was the quality of snacks in the club lounge.

We enjoyed: the spectacular harbour views from both the bedroom and the restaurants and public areas , the staff who were extremely helpful, friendly and polite, the roof top swimming pool , the promenade area in front of the hotel which is good for running, walking and is traffic free. We liked the location because it has easy access to all other parts and we enjoyed being able to eat outside overlooking the harbour - we don't think there many places you can do this.

Location in front of hk Islands (harbourview rooms), bus shuttle and ferry to centre of hk.

Internet facilities on the room, lan didn't work properly, wlan offered only 1-2 Mbps. This is very poor for a *****-Hotel (floor 18).

We were very impressed with the location and the fantastic views of Hong kong harbour and the night time sky line. The level of front counter service was excellent at all times.

The continental breakfast on the Executive Floor would put most hotels' full breakfast buffet to shame. The staff are unusually attentive, polite, considerate, from the bellman to the counter staff. I've stayed at the Harbour Plaza Whampoa Gardens at different levels of accomodation numerous times over the past years and I've never been disappointed in any respect; the only discouragement is the hotel is often booked for the stays I apply, a reflection of its popularity and convenient location close to the Hung Hom ferry to Hong Kong side and the convenience of hotel transport to downtown Tsimshatsui. This hotel manages to be large without becoming impersonal or touristy, which is no easy thing. Easily my favourite hotel in Hong Kong.

A little out of the way for kowloon itself, not a lot to do right around the hotel

Very comfortable hotel in good location near to transport (ferry/bus/train). Very friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic views of Hong Kong harbour.
