Located in the heart of WanChai, JJ hotel offers all you need in a room at a very decent price for Hong Kong: comfort, cleanness, nice shower, king size bed in a double room, perfect location, and nice staff.
The view was not great from our room, but who cares, not a big deal!
The location. The size and quality of the room. The size and quality of the bed! Very efficient staff. Professionally run.
Limited facilities. Spread over several floors which means you need to get the elevator down to reception. Avoid the S Rooms that have no windows.
Clean, walkable to Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, price, friendly staff.
See through toilet, especially with children during the trip.
- very clean - spacious enough for 2 - mini-mart next door - walking distance to halal food - walking distance to Wan Chai MTR
- tv was a little small Otherwise, it was quite perfect :)
Rooms are ok even if feeling strange to be in a mixt of clerical n residential building Privacy is ok
Staff friendly and nice
On nine floor so noisy
If you think that finding a decent accommodation in a convenient location of Hong Kong with plenty of trasportation options is impossible, don't worry: JJ Hotel fits the bill perfectly, giving you an excellent value for the money. - Staff is nice and speaks good English. In the end I didn't interact much with them aside for check-in and check-out procedures, but they were prompt and helpful replying to emails before my stay. - Room 1009 (superior room, non-smoking) had plenty of space, which is kind of rare in HK even with pricier accomodations. Quiet, clean and with a comfortable bed. - Despite being free to use, WiFi is stable and very fast: measured 20mbit/s in both upload and download speed while connected using my smartphone. - Great choice of transportation options, easily reachable by foot: 5 minutes from MTR Wan Chai, 3 minutes from the tram stop, 15 minutes from the Wan Chai Ferry Pier and right in front of the bulding there's a bunch of bus stops covering about 10 different routes. - Wan Chai is between the bustle of Central and Causeway Bay, but it's less crowded and still retains a bit of the old HK flavor despite the renovation works going on here and there. - Lots of nearby eateries to choose and a bunch of convenience stores (7-11, Circle-K). There's also a bakery on the other side of the street which is great if you want to make your own breakfast in the morning. Please note that JJ Hotel occupies 4 floors of a mixed-use building (the tiny "lobby" is on the 9th floor) so you won't be greeted by the classic entrance hall of an hotel. When reaching the hotel by MTR, make sure you leave Wan Chai station from exit A3, then cross the road and go left, walking for about 400 meters. Print or save a map from Google Maps if you are unsure, it's actually easy despite what some reviewers said.
- A/C was noisy in my room even at minimum speed but it can be turned off. While it's probably not really an option during summer, this December has been quite cold for HK standards so having it off helped keeping the room warm. - You have to wait for a couple of minutes before getting hot water in the shower and washbasin. - While it didn't affect my stay, the glass bathroom despite the curtains can be a bother if you are not a close couple or travelling solo.
location is great. Just a short walk to Wanchai MTR and also walkable to Times Square. Safe area in Wanchai. Same building as Megan's hotpot so that is a plus. Capital Cafe also just across the street. Tram stop also very near.
the thin walls that others complained about was hardly noticeable although closing of doors was loud enough to wake one. There was a smell of fresh cut onions on one night, not sure if it came from the kitchen of Megan's hotpot. No cable TV so limited English channels. DVDs available but payable. Otherwise the place was great and will definitely stay there again.
The location is very convenient, short walking distance to subway (MTR) and plenty of restaurants in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent value for the money. We will definitely stay there again.
Nothing, may be the carpet needs to be replaced since it shows its age with stains.
everything, I could live in that room
Right in heart of Wanchai Responded quickly to initial problem with room Clean, comfortable room
Room not clean on arrival, (but quickly upgraded with no nonsense, which is mark of a good hotel)
Good location for sight seeing but felt like back streets of a city. Good choice of restaurants to suit all budgets locally. Young girls on reception very sweet and helpful.
Area feels a bit seedy on parts but good for the price.
Carpet needs to clean when they are soiled!
This was the 3rd time I stayed at JJ Hotel. Reason, good value/price and location. Spotless clean and well equipped rooms. Good internet. Be aware that this is not a 'traditional' hotel but rather an apartment hotel, the rooms are on different floor, with the reception on the 9th floor. Restaurants and Starbucks/Pacific Coffee nearby for breakfast and dinner.
good location and nice staff. The room is cleanness. Mate clean the room and every day.
Staff are friendly and promptly complied with request.
Pillow too soft, needs double pillow.
the beds are amazingly large, soft and comfortable. Especially after sleeping on hard beds in china for the previous 3 weeks!
nothing, it was value for money for what you got. centrally located, easy access to transport etc. Not a bad word to say.
The bathroom is a little bit too disclosure. It would be good if it's not a mirror-walls.
Always a helpful and friendly staff at this hotel. Clean and large rooms! One of the best deals in Wan Chai!
Nothing at all wrong with this hotel. I only wish it were a bit closer to the bars in Wan Chai!
Perfect location, Nice and clean room
The bed was very hard. Which was a pity because apart from this it was a nice place to stay.
Location Reasonable space in room In room fridge and safe Staff spoke English

-For 750HK$ a night in December in HK, I had a large, spacious room with large, soft double bed, in a great location for visiting Central, Wanchai & Causeway Bay. I was given friendly service, treated nicely, given a free room upgrade, so its very difficult to pick any faults
Great location friendly staff room very clean
want to extend the check out time to 1pm, but not allow
Love the friendly staff, love the spacious room, very conveniently located. Thumbs up! Just introduced this hotel to a friend traveling to HK in March 2015. I hope she gets a room with JJ Hotel!
Good price, large and clean room, fast free wi-fi, close to Wan Chai MTR station.
Glass walled bathroom, small lifts, no restaurant or breakfast facility.
