Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel  

Its location at Tsim Sha Tsui is strategic, near the tst metro station, lots of high-end shopping, and near to restaurants.

The staff are generally courteous, but are not pro-active to help especially towards Asian tourists who speak Mandarin. However, I can see a different treatment given to the western tourists and Asian tourists who speak good English. This makes me wonder it has to do with the hotel management policy, or it is more of the staff biasness towards Asian tourists.

The first thing you notice about Marco Polo is the warm welcoming you receive from the staff as soon as you reach the doors of the hotel. The next thing you remember is the excellent customer service you receive. Nothing was too hard- we had luggage go missing and they liaised with the airline until it was delivered to our room 24 hours later. There was always more than enough staff on hand so that there were no lengthy delays in being served. The facilities are spotlessly clean, the room we stayed in was spacious and very good value. The location of the hotel to the main shopping malls and ferry terminal is very convenient.

The hotel was very impressive, the room was extremely comfortable and always kept up to a high standard, the service by the staff was something you just don't get anywhere anymore, we had just spent time in Europe and the comparison was very obvious, service in Hong Kong was fantastic, where as in Europe they couldn't be bothered to help out with the smallest requestes. The Marco Polo in Hong Kong was in a perfect location for shopping, you didn't have to leave indoors, as it was over 30 degrees every day, so staying in airconditioned comformt was a plus.

I like all Marco Polo hotels in canton road, I tried marco polo gateway, prince and now marco polo Hongkong. This time, I like the room because of the walk-in closet and sofa located by the entrance with a wall mounted tv. I like the room because it was spacious plus they gave us extra bed for my 5 year old child. Service is excellent. My kids loved it and we will go back and stay again in Marco Polo Hongkong.. Very helpfull employees. They managed to switch my room super fast and upgraded my room to a better one.

The first room a received had a dampy muddy bad smell. Awfull! I was switched to a much better upgraded room which was much bigger and really nice but the smell was also not good. It seems that the AC created this smell of old dampy water and should be renewed.

Right on the waterfront with a lovely view of Hong Kong city, especially at night. Adjoining a huge mall but with top of the line and expensive stores.

The room was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in the best location for viewing the nightly light show and the Star Ferry terminal. Also there was direct access to the shopping centre. When we travel to Hong Kong again we will stay at the Marco Polo Hong Kong. It was my birthday and one of the concierge staff members arranged for a birthday dessert surprise in our room. A delightful, thoughtful touch.

Good location and central to key transport routes. The staff were very helpful.

Lack of heating in the rooms was appalling, given it was winter. A package offering discounted breakfast as part of the room charge would have been useful.

Excellente Lage in Tsim Tsa Tsui, Kowloon.

Club Floors have not been re-decorated over the past 15 years. Water pressure and shower facility are very poor.

A truly welcoming hotel, it feels like our home in HK. Especially appreciated the receptionist signing us in in our room after a long journey.
